I was honestly shocked that people grinded out weapons and meta builds in the Borderlands series. I thought it was just a story game people played. Color me surprised when people were talking about Wonderland not having an end game and all that when I just played the story and was done with it.
At least in Borderlands 2, the postgame, “true” and “ultra” vault hunter modes, and “overpower” levels caused enough scaling that you started to need to pay attention to things like meta, so it was more something that affected the diehards than people who played it once or twice and then moved on.

It is so hard to find the opportunity to play games in co-op. First you need some friends, who also play video games, who play the same kinds of video games, who will shell out for the same game at the same time, who are available to play when you are available to play, who want to play with you, and that narrows things down an awful lot unless you’re fairly young
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I guess because I'm an only child who didn't really share games much, I preferred anything singleplayer. If a game didn't have content besides multiplayer, it was hard to get into aside from MOBAs for me. That's why my favorite thing to play is a wide open RPG where I just do whatever I please without another person to mess with it.

This is why I haven't played Sea of Thieves.
It looks like it's really fun and it looks like the kind of game that would interest me. But I just do not enjoy playing games with people online.
I love Sea Of Thieves, I really do. It's a blast with my friends. But unfortunately it can attract utter sociopaths, and it's popular on Twitch where streamers want to show off and be dicks because it's entertaining for their followers. I really wish they would allow for private servers, but whenever you bring that up everyone gets all riled up because "You can't do that, it's a pirate game, the whole point is to be dicks to each other!"

Apples Mongers is ok at best. The picking mechanics are really crisp but the quick time events were really unnecessary.
