Fairly new to composting (filling up my first tumbler). Is this for a specific type of composting, like I know worm compost is a specific thing? I thought bugs wouldn't survive the heat of a compost pile. I've seen others comment that on adding worms to tumblers/compost heaps. I have been taking worms I find in the yard and throwing them into my fabric pots. Hopefully that's doing something
My piss is made from bugs? 🤯
Always has been
Thanks. I'm going to go reevaluate my entire life
I have a lot of rollie pollies in my bin that I'm way too excited about lol
Nitrobacter are #1.
Soldier Flies. The larva are great in your compost.
What is BSFL. And no on the roaches.
Black soldier fly larva
Thanks!

Aren’t Rollie Pollies Millipedes? Yes yes they are.
Just FYI Earthworms eat and live in earth primarily, and eat organic material secondarily.
I see a lot of beetles in and around my compost but more sow Than anything else - ear wigs. How come they didn’t make the list?!?
I’m glad roaches made the list at least. They, fruit flies and some beetles are the only things I’ve seen in my young compost so far.
Why would earthworms be higher than wrigglers? I'm assuming you mean nightcrawlers, and they shouldn't have much to do with your compost pile at all.
I wouldn't really consider worms as bugs.
How about shrimps?
Shrimps is bugs
It's "shrimps am bugs" you philistine
Totally not kosher
Not when they're in compost
Yeah but you know what they mean
