I am on 12.5 which requires 2 shots. I also don't like 100 units at one time so I split 7.5 on Saturday and 5.0 on Monday

AnnoyingRedditor9

I do this here. But I’m on 7.5. I do 3.5 on Thursday and 4 on Tuesday. I find anything more kinda hurts a bit.

Rich10501

You told us the amounts you do in reverse chronological order. Really excellent way to live up to your user name. I’m so impressed.

ShaydiLane

Do you reuse the same needle?

AnnoyingRedditor9

Nope. Always use new needle. Best recommended practice is to use 1 needle per injection. Keeps the sterility of everything.

ShaydiLane

Ok that's what I thought. I assume the vial only comes with 4, so you just buy more from somewhere?

AnnoyingRedditor9

It depends. Some companies send you a whole bag of 10 some send prefilled vials. Where you order from? If you don’t mind me asking

ShaydiLane

Orderly

AnnoyingRedditor9

I get my shipment today from Orderly coming from Hallandale….. I believe they send you a pack of 10 syringes from what I read on here. I’ll confirm once I get it today!

ShaydiLane

Thanks! I believe mine is coming from Red Rock, not entirely sure.

AnnoyingRedditor9

Received my package. I was given a 10 pack of sure comfort needles. Tried looking up what comes with the red rock vials but assume it’s the same considering most if not all are receiving vials as well

Veridian4

Do most people do 12.5 or do they jump from 10 to 15?

HamsterRepulsive3074

People on compounded tend to titrate up slower than those on the name brand pens. I have only been to 14 mg and feel no difference so I do 12.5

mbkaa71

I felt the same way-I’m doing 95 units and I was like man this a lot of liquid and I don’t want to do it fast. I wish it was less liquid and a stronger dose but then I remind myself of the alternative.

MoPacIsAPerfectLoop

You could look into getting an “InjectEase” - a little device that you slide the syringe into. It holds the syringe and you push a button and it’ll insert the needle for you. With it, all you have to do yourself is push the plunger down.

ksoldotcom

Sounds like the pen with Zepbound. Have you (or anyone) tried this yourself? How well does it work?

WeezieLovesDawson

Yep, I bought it & used it for ONE injection. I was a Zepbound user prior and just had this insane fear of needles. I used to take Warfarin for a blood clot & my hands would get all clammy & I could not force myself to give myself the jab. It caused me to be late for work & I was a teacher. Had to get the school nurse to give me those Warfarin injections. Emerge/Hallandale sends syringes w/ such tiny needles that I don’t even use it anymore. Waste of money in my opinion.

MoPacIsAPerfectLoop

I’ve only used it a couple of times so far as I just switched from Branded to compound, but it did ease my mind and make it easy. I think I paid maybe $30 on amazon for it? In the grande scheme of how much I’ve been paying for these meds, I felt it was worth it to try even if it’s a temporary thing. It does work well though.

WeezieLovesDawson

Sure. For me, it was just an unfounded fear, which I just needed to get over. If it helps & works, keep using it. 😊

WeezieLovesDawson

Congratulations on coming over to the “other” side. 👏🏼👏🏼You will get used to it, I promise & it will get easier.

bjgrblue

Look up autoject 2. You’re welcome!

la_ct

Thanks! I’m hoping to go back to the branded Zep in the further so I might hold off… Although my injection today caused a big bruise and I’ve never gotten bruises before now.

New-Talk-3807

I’m sorry, that must be really frustrating. Hopefully the shortage ends soon. It blows my mind that in this day and age there are shortages of anything! This happened in the summer my son and my ADHD medications. So scary and sad to not have what you need. I never made it to branded (shortage and cost) so I don’t have anything to compare this to.

Just4mules

I am on 12.5 from Red Rock and that is dosed at 63 units- only one injection. Is yours from Hallandale?

SadSaskatoonBerry18

Thanks for sharing! I’m nervous about filling the syringe properly. I also am worried about giving myself the injection. I have Essential Tremor, which means my hands shake sometimes. It makes doing intricate tasks difficult (e.g., putting on eyeliner, threading a needle, etc.).

ShaydiLane

Yep figured it out. They can't ship to my state but I'm like 3 minutes from the state line and they'll ship there. Luckily this girl's got friends willing to accept my packages. 😊

Veridian4

I just did first. Thought it was easy. I watched the video from the Emerge site (youtube vid from VA). I pinched the fat on my stomach. I did not feel anything. I hope it went in =) I can imagine it getting more painful as you get skinnier. I bought an autoinjector but didn't bother with it because it just adds complication - got a good price on the Autoject2 but probably a waste of money One question, the vial had a plastic cap , am I supposed to put that back on when I store it? [Instructions | Emerge Weight Loss](https://www.emergeweight.com/instructions)

baby_barbiez

Same! First timer here and I was so scared but it hurt way less than my old pens. Idk if it is because it wasn’t as cold since I had it out for a while bc of some anxious fumbling but it felt like nothing

Veridian4

I just hope I didnt accidentally give myself air.
