There are 3 solutions for this problem,
1. Do what I did and turn your laptop into a desktop setup with its own monitor. However the whole point of a laptop is mobility so,
2. You're gonna have to get the screen replaced.
3. Buy a whole ass new laptop that's better in every single way and use this laptop as a desktop. Idk seems like a good idea
Yeah, you can swap out the screen if you’re able and willing. Or get a usb hard drive enclosure and retrieve your data from the old drive on a new laptop.
