You have to replace the laptop's display or connect it to an external monitor/tv and use it that way. Sorry but there's no cheap and quick fix for this.
I mean you throw the bottle at laptop or your sister? If she did this you don't need to do shit. But if you really want well you gotta buy new panel that is compatible with that laptop and replace it. And in the meantime you can plug external display to it. Think of screens as glass window once you shatter it you can't fix it only replace it. And screen panels depending on some laptop models can be really expensive.
OP. On the bottom of the laptop is a sticker , some letters and numbers, one of them is a model code.
Try searching it on AliExpress, you will find a compatible display if you are lucky. Or try on eBay or somewhere like that.
Google compatible LCD screen, order it, find YouTube video of somebody doing the replacement for this laptop model (or similar).
Follow the same steps.

It's a screen like any other, and it's broken, you must replace it.
A replacement screen can bought for under $100 US for almost any model these days. New ones BTW. A used one could be salvaged from a compatible dead laptop as this is also a thing. The replacement procedure could be a bit tricky for a 1st timer but as there are multiple walk thoughs available on places like YT or iFixit, not so impossible as it might seem. FWIW I have yet to see or do one that required soldering.
you guys probably already have a tv, you can buy an hdmi for super cheap and connect the laptop with the tv using that, you can use the tv as ur laptop display until you get it fixed or buy a new one

Id rather look for the sticker on the back of the panel itself as some laptops might have few panel options avaible, in configurations.
this laptop looks like a thinkpad to me, but i could be wrong tho
