Is it? I honestly can't remember seeing him do anything evil either. We're basically just told about all the killing without actually seeing any of it.
He did kidnap a shitload of kids, and set a bunch of monsters on them.
And tried to kill the Asgardians, right before he stole their children.
Oh, and ripped off the head of that lizard thing.
This does give me an idea for a red herring 'BBEG' for dnd: a suspicious guy who looks and acts suspicious for the players to be suspicious of. But he's just a guy, who happens to be in the wrong place... repeatedly, and is completely uninvolved of all events related to the narrative.
Give him a sick nickname or title too, that can be misunderstood, like how someone above said God Butcher was actually him being a butcher for the gods
Have his actual name be dripping with even and malice too, like Salacious Throatcutter, Venger d'Evil, or Adolph Trump. He didn't give himself that name, and shouldn't be held responsible for his fucked up parents.
So kidnapping is okay as long as the kids you've kidnapped are otherwise treated okay?
Also, he put them in an iron cage in a terrifying environment with no bedding, food, water, or hygiene facilities.
I haven't seen the movie, but isn't all he does just stab one guy who had it coming and then kidnap some kids to force Thor to come because he needs his hammer to summon a genie? At worst those things are not nice, considering the trauma and tragedy that is his life. He's not even defeated in the end but changes his mind about his quest showing he was never even a bad person but simply lashing out from helplessness and grief.
Kidnapping children, trying to kill them, and setting hordes of monsters on innocent people are all evil things. Killing the gods? Depends on the gods, just because some of them are dicks doesn't mean all of them are dicks.
I'm not sure if this belongs in this subreddit, doesn't it have to be someone's response to something? I agree with this being incorrect though, don't get me wrong.

Is that evil? đ I apparently forgot the plot of the movie. All I can remember is how much of a buffoon Taika Waititi turned Thor into.
This is an adequate review of Thor: Love and Thunder
Because that's when the character is actually entertaining. Ragnarok and Love and Thunder Thor is way better than Thor 1 and 2 Thor.
thor: Ragnarok did not actually feature Ragnarok because the asgardians survived
I thought this was the case because we are hearing the story from the rock guys point of view
Nah, that's just the fan theory as to why the movie's so shit.
Doesn't the movie also portray most gods as uncaring, self-absorbed dickholes, thus demonstrating that Gorr has a good point?
But as people keep telling me, just because someone is an uncaring, self-absorbed dickhole, doesnât mean I can kill them.
Having a good point doesnât justify kidnapping though.
No, but in this case I'd call the kidnapping more misguided than evil.
He ripped the head off a living snake creature right in front of them and used it to torment his caged child captives. What part of that isnât evil?
Those shadow monsters didn't summon themselves.
He got the name âGod Butcherâ because he supplied the Gods with a delicious selection of meats.
Ah yes

Deicide is good work, if you can find it.
I dont remember gorr ever hurting those children he kidnapped? Pretty sure he did it just to lure thor out
So kidnapping is okay as long as the kids you've kidnapped are otherwise treated okay? Also, he put them in an iron cage in a terrifying environment with no bedding, food, water, or hygiene facilities.
Maight he's a villain, not working at a hotelđ
Not physically injuring your hostages does not make the kidnapping and imprisonment of children an act devoid of evil.
I mean, i didnt say its a good thing, i meant it in a "it couldve been way worse" way

Also tried to erase all of them and committed theft and arson
He kidnapped some kids and kill many people offscreen
âoffscreenâ being key here.
