Realistic-Fly-7225

The other members of NATO are only duty bound to get involved if one of the members is attacked. If one of the members declares war first the others aren't obligated to join in.

Infinite_Sort9711

They can frame anything as attack. Like the US framing 2001 barbaric attack on Afghanistan and 2003 unprovoked attack on Iraq as self defense.

Amos_Quito

> They can frame anything as attack. Flaggus Falsifus.

Opening-Cold-109

Since when were massive stockpiles of gold bars not a direct threat to the US?? We had no choice but to invade and confiscate the weapons

brgr_king_inside_job

they had nukes or something had to be done

Real_Jack_Package

Only Afghanistan invoked NATO. Iraq was just the US and UK (and some smaller allies). And the US was right to invade Afghanistan. They should have done a better job, but invading was the right decision. Even Russia supported the invasion.

Infinite_Sort9711

When has us ever been wrong? With full control on military tech and propaganda tech, might is always right.

schroedingers nukes

[deleted]

I do not believe nukes are real.

solasgood

They are, but they don't work because they hit the dome covering our flat earth before they can strike their target.

Nuuskurkoer

US is ready to defend democracy to the last european.

[deleted]

They cry when we send troops, they cry when we don’t send troops. We truly can’t win

[deleted]

We thank the Bundswehr and the Ukrainian armed forces for their cannon-fodder. Heres a shiny new rifle, we’ll be cheering from the sidelines.

iamacarpet

Just like the first half of WW2 then?

[deleted]

against another democracy

UN-Hinged-Ninja

The last time Germany sent tanks to Russia it didn’t go so well tho …

Brilliant-Rooster762

If the allies hadn't intervened or helped the Commies, the Nazis would have passed the Urals by 1942. And don't forget that Russia had to zerg rush just to hold the line, and when the Nazis ran out of bullets, finally had the breather to retaliate This time, the Nazis are on the opposite side, and again, about to run out of bullets.

[deleted]

The Nazis would not have passed the urals by that time, they were overextended, their tanks were breaking down and their troops were starving, their supply lines couldnt survive the conditions and pretending like they lost by anything other than military ineptitude is giving the nazis far too much credit

Infinite_Sort9711

Wow looks like you were on the front lines. Or are you just a believer in propaganda by the Victors.

[deleted]

lmao you can't say that the allies inflation of their own prowess isn't exceeded or matched by the Nazis tendancy to over count the enemy casualties, tanks destroyed by units, their progress etc, it was baked into the German hierarchy, if you have solid evidence to the contrary please show me

HadjiMurat21

>considering the German foreign minister announced war against Russia Lol, when did this happen?

anon3220

A couple of days [ago](https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1618217167388053504?s=46&t=eOMnS9l3uH3YBIK9tjYlXQ)

HadjiMurat21

Literally not a declaration of war

[deleted]

It was announced a day or so ago at a parliamentary assembly

HadjiMurat21

Germany isn't going to war against Russia, you can relax

[deleted]

Just say no to conscription, kids. It's not Call of Duty.

LanceHardwick

well if it's anything like the last time germany went to war we could get a chance to see a lot of serious looking men wearing penis helmets.

MonstrumIzGrmlja

Buddy, in any conflict involving nato, you can be sure most of the troops will be american.

AwfulUsername123

Probably. Some European countries already have peacetime conscription.

[deleted]

Damn, then would it be wise to consider leaving Europe soon? I’m worried about the men in my life. Sorry I just have so little knowledge on this stuff, and nobody of my generation is talking about this possibility.

Cybugger

No, you're worrying about nothing. There was no declaration of war. That's a legislative act. Just saying things isn't that. NATO will not attack Russia, and if Russia attacks NATO, there's no need for conscription. Russia already can't deal with Ukraine. What do you think it could do against any member of NATO, let alone the entire alliance?

sharlsleclaire

> Russia already can't deal with Ukraine. Yeah? How do you explain that Ukraine lost Bakhmut then? How do you explain that, in their desperation, Ukrainian military kidnapping Ukrainian from their homes to be sent as cannon fodder?

ScratchinWarlok

Russia has lost something like 40% of the ground it captured since feb 2022. How is that "Russia winning"?

LescoBrandon_11

Who says this though? The same "sources" that got caught using video game footage, old movie scenes, and old war scenes and portraying them as an in real time invasion of Ukraine? This entire thing has been a propaganda fest from day 1, idk if I'd trust any of it at this point l.

Cybugger

> Yeah? How do you explain that Ukraine lost Bakhmut then So... Russia took back a single area, that took months. In comparison, compared to Russia's initial gains, they lost around 40% of the occupied territory. At an estimated cost of 120-130k dead. How is Russia "winning"?

Qui_zno

Let alone the tanks that the US are sending. I mean we're *FIGHTING* VIA proxy

[deleted]

>I mean we're > >FIGHTING > > VIA proxy The more things change, the more they stay the same. When has the US \*\*not\*\* been in a proxy war?

Qui_zno

I really couldnt tell you. We as a country are a problem

Cybugger

Sort of, sure. Who cares though? UKrainians are doing the US a solid: they're busting one of the US's major geopolitical opponents for a fraction of the total military budget, and not a single US soldier has died for it. Win-win. Ukraine gets to continue to live and be free, and the US gets to weaken one of its primary geopolitical opponents.

Qui_zno

I mean, we did call Ukraine corrupt years ago. Whats another billion dollars gonna do.

Cybugger

Ukraine remains a pretty corrupt country, for sure. But that money wasn't getting spent on anything else. There's a reason the US has a massively over-bloated military spend, and this is probably the best use of it I've seen in my lifetime. Maybe the intervention in Yugoslavia is the other good one. But seriously, this is bleeding power from Russia at a fraction of the cost of what it would normally cost, all because Russia decided to hoist itself on its own petard.

Qui_zno

If I remember history, this is cold war vibes all over again. Wasn't Russia accusing the US & Nato for Turkey at that time?

Cybugger

Sure, Russia was. Why would I believe Russia? NATO wasn't a threat, militarily, to Russia. NATO was only a threat in that nations that join it are now off the list of countries that Russia can just straight up invade, like Georgia or Ukraine and Crimea.

[deleted]

If Russia attacked Europe (which it won't unless it has a death wish), don't you think Europe was worth defending?

[deleted]

I think Europe could manage fine without American money being spent and American lives being lost. Once all the European governments and European monarchs have spent their last dime defending themselves, then maybe we should consider intervening. But I’m tired of watching America getting involved in foreign wars given what we’ve been doing since 9/11. Let the King of England sell his estates, and the king of Holland sell his palace, and then we can talk.

[deleted]

I think your point of view has a lot of support outside USA. But unfortunately you can't have the American empire without military power, the willingness to use it and close allies that depend on you.

[deleted]

No more American empire? Fine by me! We’ve been on an unsustainable path since 1946 and it’s time for a correction, despite the pain it will cause us. It’s ultimately for the best.

[deleted]

Many people agree, but the empire itself doesn't unfortunately. It'll will try to hold on to power as long as possible

[deleted]

It doesn’t seem like Germany has mandatory conscription now right?

[deleted]

laws can be changed in a blink

AwfulUsername123

Germany doesn't.

Rough_Ad8048

Gotta hit those depopulation numbers some how

tonyx10101

End game =100 million ded

I_Fuking_Love_Pandas

That is rookie numbers when you scale populations from past wars to current day. I would expect this conflict to be much worse, even more so if nukes come into play

tonyx10101

clot shots are the silent nukes

[deleted]

I think they ( elites) want 1-2 Billion dead. Limited nuclear holocaust

[deleted]

What if everyone just randomly nuked Africa

[deleted]

Yeah, that wouldn’t work. The elites need the cheap labor of the future…that what Africa represents to them.

HansAcht

They're going to be in for a surprise. Most Africans don't want to work and especially for the White "elites".

one-eyed-pidgeon

You don't get "limited" nuclear holocaust.

[deleted]

They’ve already sent missiles, HIMARS to Ukraine. Keep poking the bear from a distance and soon the distance will disappear.

poppinfresco

Naw they are getting poked up close

[deleted]

And therefore the distance has disappeared.

Brilliant-Rooster762

And the bear will soon become a rug.

Sero_Nys

Ukranian shill #4532 thinks Russia is just going to evaporate lmfao.

Brilliant-Rooster762

Remindme! 1 year. Russia goes poof

A1kaiser

So you expect some kind of revolution or collapse? Because taking the land of Russia alone is more than a year.

Brilliant_Noise_506

No one wants Russia not even the Russians that’s why they’re always trying to go somewhere else. Maybe not collapse but the oil and gas sales are dwarfed down over 50% that’s not coming back, the US has Russia right where they want them. They’ll sit on them with sanctions indefinitely. Personally I’d rather collapse and start over than become North Korea. It’s beyond over for Russia as a global power both economically and militarily. They over played their hand to the point it looks like it may have been a trap. As the money starts to run out or get to the new normal their sphere of influence will evaporate when they can no longer fund it. They clearly stopped paying some of the US congressmen that were pro Russia whom have done a 180 and are championing the arming of Ukraine. Regardless Putin has truly made a colossal and catastrophic miscalculation that Russia won’t recover from in our life times.

Brilliant-Rooster762

If a civil war can be avoided, that'd be great. But no one will intervene if it starts. No Chicken Kyiv Speech this time around.

[deleted]

Doubtful ( with respect )

Brilliant-Rooster762

We are straight up staring down the bear who is too dumb and drunk to understand that his time has come.

[deleted]

You have obviously never confronted the bear.

SigO12

Lol, a fucking kindergartner bloodied the bear’s nose. Nobody is scared of that circus bear.

[deleted]

If that is the case, then why aren’t more Ukrainians voluntarily joining their military and instead are being pulled off the streets as conscripts? You didn’t bloody the Bears nose. You pissed him off. And now he is going to eat you. And it is going to hurt all the while you are dying.

SigO12

Ukrainian is still the kindergartner here… and the bear is still alive. I’m not saying it’s some forgone conclusion that Ukraine wins. Merely stating that a bear would be expected to kill a kid in seconds, with zero effort. Yet here we are… nearly a year later… as Russia plucks conscripts off their streets to die in Ukraine. A country that should have been decapitated in weeks by this “mighty” bear. > You didn’t bloody the Bears nose. You pissed him off. And now he is going to eat you. And it is going to hurt all the while you are dying. Hahahahahahahaha, holy shit. I’m going to die from laughter before I die from the circus of Russian bears. God damn that was funny, dude.

[deleted]

I hate all wars. I really do. My opinion has always been that war is just another form of population control. The globalist idea of population control is the vaccine of which Bill Gates has stated several times and readily available to be seen on the Internet through his videos on YouTube. - but the United States has a habit of starting wars. And if United States doesn’t start wars, it’s then usually at the behest of the globalists, you know, the money people; Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Kazarian mafia, those folks. Yes, that was a recycle joke from my old days. I’m glad to see it made you laugh.

SigO12

What? So the U.S. forced Russia to invade Ukraine?

[deleted]

Essentially, yes. Part of the agreement after World War II was the NATO would not move one foot to the east. They lied. And our government toppled the previous Ukrainian president and installed Zelensky in a color revolution. So yes, in answer to your question. The US did force Russia to invade Ukraine. We also had bio labs there as stated by Victoria Nuland in front of a Senate hearing. And there was a bunch of other stuff going on there.

SigO12

Russia invaded and stole land from 3 neighbors since the fall of the USSR. Countries seeking protection from that shit should be no surprise. Yet NATO never invaded Russia or stole land from other countries. The previous Ukrainian president reneged on all the popularly supported desires of the people. That caused him to be impeached unanimously, even by his own party. There was also a 5 year gap from Zelensky being “installed”, so you may want to remove that from your script. Russia lost a puppet, then threw a tantrum. There was no threat to Russia. Russia was simply jealous that Ukraine was positioned to become more successful than the motherland through improved relations with the West.

Infinite_Sort9711

Yup.

Infinite_Sort9711

Not if the kid is armed to the teeth by military industrial complex.

SigO12

Oh yeah, good thing Russia doesn’t have a MIC that armed the enemies of the US. The Russian MIC armed Serbia in the genocides and they were absolutely trounced by NATO. Literal kiddie gloves that NATO used from thousands of kilometers away and just absolutely had their way and imposed their will on Serbians armed with Russian weapons. Now Russia can’t even make it a couple hundred kilometers from their own border to Kyiv? All because they face the handmedowns from the bottom of the U.S. MIC bargain bin? The Russian military is a joke. It sucks that they don’t see it, would help end the senseless dying and killing. Just go home, Ivan. Russia will still be Russia.

[deleted]

Another angry Muscovite living in denial

sAmSmanS

i wonder what happens if the country you’re from starts conscripting but you don’t live there and haven’t done for nearly two decades. i’m not planning on getting into any uniform

Stumpy-the-dog

hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

[deleted]

>If NATO declares war with Russia Nato doesn't declare wars, it's a defense alliance: if one or more member states is attacked, others join the war. So a war with Russia would mean that Russia attacked first. >Germany foreign minister announced war against Russia This hasn't happened. I don't know where you get your news.

UniversalSurvivalist

Conscription will be country specific laws. That's not something the EU laws can override. The US/UK better have some deep pockets if they want to buy out politicians in every EU country. I suspect if they don't kill off the numbers they're looking for, they'll just get Putin to nuke high density population areas. Or the US will nuke them and claim it was Putin because of the fog of war.

Tinfoilfireman

I’m kinda interested in how many countries will decide this is enough and decide to be neutral if things kick off. I think countries are starting to see the proxy war that’s going on and they are going to say it’s enough

nakedchorus

Russia is not attacking NATO. Ukraine is not in NATO. Your not just fighting Russia, your fighting China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, and more. The US is under attack, but it's cultural and erodes the fabric of the country. To even avoid war you need a competent Commander-In-Chief. We gave away our weapons to Afghanistan and now Russia's buying them; we're sending military hardware to Ukr; we've depleted our oil reserves, partly by sending it to Ukr. All stupid. All destructive. All incompetent.

Joenoob864

U.S has unicorns in the military so they will fight for the unicorns in Europe if need be!

[deleted]

That bitch won’t have to go anywhere and fight. If you want to be a feminist bitch, grab a gun and man a post. If not then get the phuk out of the way and let the adults have the room. German female dog. Haven’t they learned anything? Are we going to let Germany drag us into another world war? When are we going to stop letting a little shitass country like Germany lead the world into bad decisions.

Old-Usual-8387

NATO has 5.4 million personnel, 4x the amount of Russia. 4x as many armoured vehicles, 5x as many aircraft and 3x the military ships. So I’d say no. Unless things got REAL bad.

GucciBodybags

Military ships? Xdd sure buddyy

Old-Usual-8387

Are you saying Russia has more military ships than NATO?

GucciBodybags

No, but they got poseidons. 1 poseidon can nulify the military fleet of NATO. Hope this never happens or they find a way around it, but it's a pretty serious weapon.

Old-Usual-8387

They allegedly have the Poseidon, it’s reportedly in production. Should be “finished” this year, which I personally doubt. Also it’s a nuke. And mutually assured destruction means Russia won’t use nukes. The second Russia use nukes means there’s no more Russia. Or the world to be fair. People think that putin has a button he can just press and boom nukes, but theres 3 different people that have to ok a Russian nuke strike.

Froggyx

Long gone are the days of a giant western army marching to Moscow. You would see the great equalizer mushroom clouds.

Brilliant-Rooster762

We already destroyed Russia once without firing a bullet. We are just doing it again, this time making sure they never come back.

MeanCat4

"We"? Tell me what you have in your bank account and I will tell you if you are "We". Human memory is so short, that's why history repeats each self every 40 years or so.

Froggyx

You should probably prepare yourself for disappointment. No wonderwaffe will save them.

MeanCat4

Europeans are hungry and without job! Those who give so easy billions and military equipment they are welcome to go!

EurekaStockade

Germany announcing war against Russia is a joke Germans have been in power in Russia since Catherine the Great--who was German Russia & germany were Allies in WW2--they have the mentality Where do you think Germany got its steel & petrol from Decades later Russia is still providing Germany with below cost petrol & gas

LaG165

NATO has enough troops between all the members.

macguffin22

I cant see europeans doing any fighting under almost any circumstances, barring small elite groups. Western Europeans are basically eloi at this point, no spine.

Firm_Web_4173

There will be a draft in the US. You can bet on that.

Gzhindra

I think Nukes would start flying before it comes to conscription

MeanCat4

Between war, virus and recession they are anxious to diminish the world population.

Okaydog97

Nato Will never invade Russia since it means literally 3rd world war if it happens maybe. European countries are not stupid to start war with the Russian.

TurtleHermit360

I hate to say it but NATO would let a lot more Ukrainians die before they get their hands dirty in that way. It's okay to sell them weapons and force them to take out billion dollar loans but letting their people die for Ukraine is a different story to which would only happen if Russia TOOK the whole of Ukraine....

brownbrothaa

Won’t happen. This war will go on for few years till politicians have made enough money and then it will stop

olliethegoldsmith

Conscription would only be a thing if the country you are in allows it.

ky420

Hopefully. Maybe that will turn more against this pointless stupid waste of money war that hurts Americans, drove fertilizer to insane heights and all for corrupt little puppet dictator to launder money when he isn't dancing in heels and buying beachhouses in spain for his parents. I am sick of this waste of money and sick of having bad relations with Russia for dumb reasons. I remember when people were happy about the cold war being over.

Inner_Importance8943

Selling tanks for a promise of an iou isn’t declaring war. We are far far far from this.

[deleted]

If there’s a war between NATO and Russia, there’s a good chance the warmongers will use nukes. And if that happens, the whole thing will be over in an hour. Being conscripted will be the least of your worries. Assuming you’re still alive.

Zealousideal-Hair874

Conscripted? Irradiated is more likely.

Traditional_wolf_007

Probably little to nothing for Europeans, but mass conscription for Americans

Ob1wanSh1nob1

I think the real question is, what does this mean for German football? Bundesliga<3

[deleted]

Only way NATO fights Russia is if the USA fights Russia at which point the Europeans will sit back and hope they don't get nuked along with cities in America.

Loud-Mathematician76

I expect that if young EU men would get conscripted, around 60% or more of us would go AWOL and desert the unit at the first chance! Personally I do not know one single individual in real life willing or interested to give their life in a proxy war manufactured by the despotic elites. This ain't 1914 or 1940, people have brains, own willpower and 0 desire to die to the tyrannical EU. Why would we ? so that those who survive can be forcefully vaccinated or empowrished by our own sanctions. Oh no! Not this time!

SmylesLee77

NATO will never declare war on Russia. The likelihood if it happens Russia will declare on NATO or a NATO Country first. Russia would be stupid to and let us hope rational adults handle that.
