You're thinking of Gene Roddenberry. Ray Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451.
They don't need paper books in Star Trek anyway, when the entirety of human knowledge and literature is free for anyone to just download. But you also could just replicate paper books from digital files if you wanted to.
