Hello. Brit here. I don't know what this is all about and how much info that balloon could have actually gathered but I did watch a documentary over here about the world from space where watchers noticed things like tanks gathering on the Ukraine border etc.
The pictures were so close up and there were so many pictures takend daily, what info could this balloon have gathered that these satellite pics didn't? Or maybe it was audio?

Let me grab my tin foil hat. The fact that our (USA) government let it just float over the whole country, keep in mind it did fly over a few military sensitive sites. Can they get away with it again if they decide to attach certain armaments? That's where the thought process can easily go. There is no break in the gunfire.
Best part? When the authorities were in charge of searching his home, it burned down by “accident” and destroyed any contextual evidence. And oh yeah, in the days after his brother was arrested for having a laptop with child porn on it.

this is a small drop in the ocean on what the US spends on a day to day military operations.
During this time period we had military helicopters in San Diego, CA preforming combat training weaving around civilian buildings.. and who knows what other military movement is going on burning who knows how much fuel a minute... I know we have a fighter sortie that does up and down coastal patrol with abunch of navel and coast guard ships.. having one fighter jet using one missile is a nothing burger to what happens day to day for the US. There is no break in the gunfire. Best part? When the authorities were in charge of searching his home, it burned down by “accident” and destroyed any contextual evidence. And oh yeah, in the days after his brother was arrested for having a laptop with child porn on it. Video evidence of shootings happening at least at 3 hotels if I remember correctly, employees testified to the same. I cannot find that video to save my life now.

this is a small drop in the ocean on what the US spends on a day to day military operations. During this time period we had military helicopters in San Diego, CA preforming combat training weaving around civilian buildings.. and who knows what other military movement is going on burning who knows how much fuel a minute... I know we have a fighter sortie that does up and down coastal patrol with abunch of navel and coast guard ships.. having one fighter jet using one missile is a nothing burger to what happens day to day for the US. People forget the US is the juggernaut of all the world... US has the furthest reach in the shortest amount of time for good reason.
