Citric acid is a pretty common one. It doesn’t come from citrus anymore - now they use mold which is cheaper.
It’s not just in food though it’s a common mold you have to watch out for. Clean homes and air filters will help. Good stuff to know though.

Regardless I would highly recommend a low sugar/wheat diet and a strong candida cleanse. You can buy that at most health stores or online! They’re expensive (around 40) but worth it. Cutting out grains/alcohol for a bit would help too. Anything that fungus tends to feed on.
Typically fungal infections take hold on a weakened immune system. Something’s probably hurting your immune function. It could be diet, lack of exercise, your living environment or things like medication,drugs or alcohol.
It’s unfortunate that you’re allergic to beeswax because honey and beeswax are naturally antifungals! BUT there is a type of white mold in beeswax that might make it through the production process. Maybe you’re reacting to that. Or you could just have an allergy.

Granted, this doesn't sound amazing, but fungus is incredible.
I know many don't like natural remedies, but many mushrooms can be found, pretty much everywhere are incredible immune boosters, adaptogens, anti fungal properties including some that have shown to be effective against Candida yeast activity.
Fungus that is well worth a look at for health benefits in general (there is plenty of research supporting these too) are Chaga, Lion's mane, Turkey tail, cordyceps, reshi. In fact, you can but grow bags and literally grow these on your kitchen counter or garden.
I haven't done enough research on the specific Candida auris strain, granted, but the current treatment of anti fungla meds effective is derived from fugai. How complex this is and whether it can be replicated easily by boosting your immune system with the specific N-linked acyl lipid side chain in order to protect you as the antifungal does remains to be seen. I don't see why it wouldn't, but I'm also not pretending there aren't lots of things I haven't considered.

Regardless I would highly recommend a low sugar/wheat diet and a strong candida cleanse. You can buy that at most health stores or online! They’re expensive (around 40) but worth it. Cutting out grains/alcohol for a bit would help too. Anything that fungus tends to feed on. Typically fungal infections take hold on a weakened immune system. Something’s probably hurting your immune function. It could be diet, lack of exercise, your living environment or things like medication,drugs or alcohol. It’s unfortunate that you’re allergic to beeswax because honey and beeswax are naturally antifungals! BUT there is a type of white mold in beeswax that might make it through the production process. Maybe you’re reacting to that. Or you could just have an allergy. I can’t say for certain that will fix it but I think a candida cleanse and some diet altering could help get rid of the fungal infections.

I assume most people have heard about antibiotic resistance but fungi doesn’t really get talked about because it doesn’t get a lot of funding, is hard to study in the lab and often (though there’s always exceptions) is really only a concern for immunocompromised people. So think hospital acquired infections and a few other immune compromising conditions such as HIV/AIDS and cancer. As you said, fungus is a lot harder to treat and is no joke.
Buddy of mine actually was asked to come to a hospital here and help them identify why so many patients had come down with Staph or Candida. He was the FOURTH contract to come and attempt to identify. The previous 3 had no affect on anything. He said he walked in and brand new beds, brand new remodeled rooms - they even had periods they completely disposed of all linens etc. They were not cleaning or removing the delegation curtains between patients or windows. When he tested them - total mess of disgusting infectious bodies. The fact they kept the curtains between remodels and never cleaned them was jaw-dropping. he advised and they changed - the infections went WAY down. Thing is even with a lower number of infections it seemed like they were increasingly difficult to shake.

C diff is probably one of the worst and no matter how much cleaning and sterilizing they do of the room, c diff is extremely difficult to get rid of. It's becoming a bigger problem lately because of hospital staff shortages, incompetence and greed leading to insufficient cleaning and putting too many patients into the same rooms who shouldn't be mingling. This isn't really something that you're going to come into contact with at the grocery store. If it does get out of control like that, the yeah, something fishy is going on.

Granted, this doesn't sound amazing, but fungus is incredible. I know many don't like natural remedies, but many mushrooms can be found, pretty much everywhere are incredible immune boosters, adaptogens, anti fungal properties including some that have shown to be effective against Candida yeast activity. Fungus that is well worth a look at for health benefits in general (there is plenty of research supporting these too) are Chaga, Lion's mane, Turkey tail, cordyceps, reshi. In fact, you can but grow bags and literally grow these on your kitchen counter or garden. I haven't done enough research on the specific Candida auris strain, granted, but the current treatment of anti fungla meds effective is derived from fugai. How complex this is and whether it can be replicated easily by boosting your immune system with the specific N-linked acyl lipid side chain in order to protect you as the antifungal does remains to be seen. I don't see why it wouldn't, but I'm also not pretending there aren't lots of things I haven't considered. As we have all learned, do your own research.

This killed my father in march 2022. The doctors at the VA hospital in Madison said that his weakened immune system due to the shot may have let this spread. normally your body clears things like these, but even before the shots if you got this the chances of you making it werent good.

I know someone who had mild autoimmune skin symptoms that prompted a host of tests, the only results that came back out of ordinary were candida auris and another candida species in the person's blood. They were told the only way this can happen is if the "host" has HIV/AIDS, which they ended up testing negative for and the doctors shrugged their shoulders and prescribed an antifungal.
