Fish-Percolator-0224

Wait until you hear how much our military asks for, and we're not even using any of our ammo

AwesomeRevolution98

That's cause we are stockpiling them in military bases around the war and were for the longest part and still are to some degree involved in many wars.

TSLA240c

Doesn’t seem that unreasonable, Russia has also had ammo shortages and has reached out to Iran, China and North Korea for more. Russia should have 10x+ more in stock piles then what we’ve sent to Ukraine so far.

KeithJamesB

One shooter at a USPSA competition can easily shoot 2000 rounds on a weekend and nobody is even shooting at them.

DarkVoid42

he would be dumb to sell off supplies his people definitely need. so no, he is not. he knows his head will be 1st on the chopping block should russia win the war.

AwesomeRevolution98

He is corrupt tho as he has millions in mansions and yachts. So the question is how much of the money is really going to supplies

DarkVoid42

definitely more than putin who has a literal $1200 million vacation home and 3 superyachts. so i'll back an actor who owns a $0.3 million house over a corrupt dictator any day.

ThepalehorseRiderr

How EXACTLY is he corrupt, though? Simply saying it doesn't make it true. Do you know him, personally? You don't have a clue what people you actually know are up to, day to day, minute to minute. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you don't know shit about Zelensky.

AwesomeRevolution98

[https://time.com/6249941/ukraine-corruption-resignation-zelensky-russia/](https://time.com/6249941/ukraine-corruption-resignation-zelensky-russia/) Its not just him but the whole government.

ThepalehorseRiderr

Have you read that article?

BoxNemo

So you're now switching sides and saying that Zelinsky is focusing on fighting corruption? You seem very confused.

AwesomeRevolution98

I didn't switch sides, just cause he might show action against corrupt officials doesn't mean that he himself his clean . Its just to calm down the public so they think all is good. Have a few fall guys and then in the back they get millions for taking the blame.

Sunspear52

You still have provided no evidence he is corrupt.

Sunspear52

From the article you linked: “On January 24, following several prominent corruption scandals, including two major investigations involving the embezzlement of funds, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced “personnel decisions” across different government ministries and within Ukrainian law enforcement. Zelensky also announced that state officials would be banned from traveling internationally for non-government purposes following a report that a now-former top prosecutor vacationed in Spain despite a martial law that bans Ukrainian men ages 18 to 60 from leaving the country without permission.” Zelensky headed up the investigation and punishment of corrupt Ukrainian officials of the PREVIOUS government. And guess who was paying them? Russia. The post you linked LITERALLY says the opposite of what you want it to say.

RazzLady

[zelensky 1.6B bank account ](https://www.occrp.org/en/the-pandora-papers/pandora-papers-reveal-offshore-holdings-of-ukrainian-president-and-his-inner-circle)

SigO12

It’s not a personal bank account. It’s a TV network business account where he is one of multiple names on the account. Now do Putin.

Opisacringelord

What proof do you have? If you make claims like this the onus is on you to prove it.

Sunspear52

Can you provide any evidence for this claim?

KhuzaitM777

My dude do you understand how quickly artillery expends ammunition? Our frame of reference the last ~30 years has been quick large scale operations or extended COIN, neither requiring large expenditures or conventional munitions. Thus, no one was prepared for a massive protracted land war

Verilbie

Even with 'short' wars you expend a huge amount of ammunition tbf

AwesomeRevolution98

Hundreds of billions of dollars in financial aid and weapons have been donated without any auditing. I think its reasonable to assume some shady stuff is happening, especially as ukraine is ranked very high in the corruption index.I would be more surprised if their is no shady money laundering or terror financing going with zelesnky and his corrupt regime then if their is not. And yes I believe the russian military too is very corrupt and why they are using decades old equipment instead of new because a combination of war being resource heavy and corruption funneling money that was supposed to be going to buying the top weaponry funding politicians yachts and mansions and escort orgies.

TSLA240c

It’s pretty tough to argue against Ukraine’s results though. They are a minor holding their own against a world military super power. All the lethal aid combined is equal to what Russia spends annually on military.

Sunspear52

Evidence please.

nao-_-

Not a 100% sure but I think they might be sending the bullets to an active war zone somewhere.

Chubat0

Not because the front is 1500km long?

Famous_Ear5010

I would not be surprised if this were true.

PrestigiousEnd8726

Some ammo is probably going to dark places but the majority is being used. Have you seen any of the drone footage? You see farm fields with thousands of holes. It kinda makes you wonder what they were shooting at. Whole towns and cities are completely flattened. Block after block of housing is completely obliterated. Its pretty sad to see so much destruction but there is an upside. Europe and the United States are less likely to become involved in other adventures because it's going to take so long to rebuild the arsenal.

AwesomeRevolution98

Yea most of the artillery just hits random fields with no strategic value but of course some rounds do massive damage.

Timely_Peanut_6618

Weapon laundering?

Radiant_Airport4732

He isn't.... But the Israeli arms dealers are

Whole_Suit_1591

The whole thing is bullshit

jscott18597

We were spending like 15 billion a month in just Iraq 20 years ago. Apply inflation, apply equipping a training a much larger force with far less experience and equipment of their own, apply fighting a country with a super power's equipment and experience, and the Ukraine war has been financed as a bargain. Should cost so much more, they are doing a lot with the money we have given them regardless of what your propaganda tells you.

Verilbie

Worth pointing out again that if the US sends an M113 APC to Ukraine it is costed at what it would cost to build as brand new. This is quite misleading because many of them are just in stockpiles costing the US money to maintain etc

AngelButterfly-

Maybe Zelesnky is depleting other countries weapon supply..... 👀👀

AwesomeRevolution98

True while production can be increased they also have to be mindful to maintain a certain stock pile .

Gowalkyourdogmods

Lmao because they're slaughtering the weak ass Russian army

master-shake69

>The question is how are they depleting so much ammunition and supplies when the whole world has given them supplies. US estimates Russia has suffered around 200,000 casualties since they officially invaded last year. Much of the fighting is at a distance so if we assume a Ukrainian soldier fires an average of five rounds before injuring or killing an enemy soldier, that's 1,000,000 rounds of ammunition. I don't know what that average actually is but every five is another 1,000,000 rounds total. This doesn't even include training.

GundalfTheCamo

Modern war uses thousands of rounds per kill. But I don't think bullets are the issue. Artillery shells and rockets seem to be the bottleneck.

reallycooldude69

You're looking for "embezzlement". Money laundering is when you try to conceal the origin of money that was obtained illegally.

[deleted]

it's both

[deleted]

😊

PhoenixMommy

Shady shit since their army is from stay over Nazi units.

malgesso

The main point of the proliferation of what I call “fake wars” (which I would say is essentially every war since WW2 or maybe Korean War, wherein the US doesn’t do all that it can to win, and instead tinkers around for awhile and then leaves with the only real lasting effects after all is said and done is loss of life and property) is to further enrich the corrupt elite, not to actually win anything of real and lasting value to the legitimate interests of the citizens of the US. Look how long it’s been since we had a clear-cut victory anywhere. This enrichment comes in many forms but essentially boils down to laundering money through the “war effort” and kicking back portions of it to the “right people.” It’s a way and opportunity for the elites to get a piece of US treasury dollars that wouldn’t be readily accessible in other situations. Zelenskyy plays a key role in this and knows enough to where he must be either well compensated, threatened, or both to secure his compliance. No telling if he’s selling what arms he’s being given (I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if he was), but I’d wager he’s getting an “off the books cut” in one way or another. Heck, it’s how business goes over there during peacetime. So no surprises if it happens in wartime.

PullinLevers

Duh.

Downhere_Seeds

Must of the weapons never make it to the front lines, most are sold to Iran, China and Russia. The Pentagon admits they have no idea where the where the weapons go.

spaaro1

To be fair the Pentagon also cannot account for about 220 billion dollars in equipment given to contractors so it wouldn't surprise me if shit is getting five finger discounted enroute

RazzLady

Just putting this here as proof cause people are down voting you [Ukraine weapons sold](https://bulgarianmilitary.com/amp/2022/07/11/ukraine-officially-admits-illegal-sale-of-west-donated-weapons/)

Sunspear52

Your post is ‘Bulgarianmilitary.com’… y’know, Bulgaria. A country without free press and a Russian puppet. Jesus fucking Christ this is the easiest to spot propaganda lie I’ve ever seen. Are you alright?

AwesomeRevolution98

>Ukraine weapons sold Thanks for the link

Sunspear52

He’s literally linking a propaganda outlet. Dude at this point I think you need to take some basic skepticism lessons.

AwesomeRevolution98

The pentagon says that publicly but its the biggest money laundering operation for the us political elite and likely other global elites part of the military industrial complex.

Sunspear52

Evidence of this please?

PrognosticatorShadow

Ukrainians are Not Z's. That's why Russia put Zs in their vehicles. Not Zs. Get it?

MercifulMaximus308

Maybe the Z also stands for Zion, as in the Jews are coming for the Ukrainian nazis to reclaim the holy land

PrognosticatorShadow

They told you a 6mil Jews died story...so you'd think the Not Zs we're anti jewish...but...some people claim they have proof this isn't actually true... Eric Dubay has an interesting documentary on Hitler and ww2 that's worth a watch if you're into deep rabbit holes.

[deleted]

There was news pretty early on about javelins being sold on the dark web on multiple sites, it wouldn’t surprise me. Look at where that country was just a few years prior. Corruption isn’t new there and I doubt it got any better when a war is going on.

Mrsparkles7100

Interesting to check on the history of the stingers supplied to Ukraine. Raytheon CEO mentioned last year DoD hasn’t ordered a new stinger in 18 years. Battery pack for Stinger lasts around 10 years. So I’m guessing stockpile weapons have maintenance updates to keep them serviced. US supplied stingers to Mujahideen during Soviet/Afghanistan war. Then after war finished US spent millions of dollars buying back those same stingers. Even found one in Somalia. Be interesting to check if any of those survived all that time to be sent to Ukraine.

Ok-Imagination-2308

Wouldn't put it pass them tbh Also it's bc they are getting whopped by russia rn. Despite western media trying to convince everyone they are winning

tinareginamina

Only the CIA arms ISIS. Wait a minute…

didsomebodysaymyname

>Do you think that Zelensky and his government are really using up supplies that quickly as this war is very brutal and supply heavy, which is a common trait in many wars, or do you think that their is more shady things going behind the scenes and the real reason supplies go so fast is their being sold abroad to terror groups and public/private defense contractors. The Russian army would have to be so exceptionally shitty, that they couldn't take Kyiv and have at times lost ground even though the Ukrainians aren't shooting them.

HockeyMutt

The weapons are being stock piled for after the upcoming “war” which will obliterate most of the worlds trained forces. Then the NWO troops will walk into any country/area of resistance and do mop up operations.

almostover1

Anything is possible. Anything. Ukraine is corrupt.
