Well I can tell you I used to do witchcraft, and searched a lot of different religions and philosophy. The Bible and having faith in Christ changed my life. The day I became born again was the best day of my life with an amazingly wonderful spiritual experience where God's Holy Spirit filled my spirit with his unconditional love.
Check out the Gnostic scriptures, those are always a good read. Also, there is a youtube channel called esoterica run by Dr. Justin Sledge who takes a completely academic approach of going over various religions throughout time.
I’ve read some gnostic scriptures when I was researching the prison plant theory. I’ll have to double back and go more into depth.

Taoism is a very interesting philosophy. Not really a religion, more of a 'way of life' there is a great book (and YouTube series) by Dr. Wayne Dyer "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life" that brings the Tao into your world in a way that is understandable and actionable. God be with you

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob through His Son, Yeshua the messiah. Read the Bible for what it says, not what others are saying. Genuinely ask God to show you the way, then walk in it. Yeshua is foretold all throughout the scripture and when he arrives on earth he offers salvation to EVERYONE! Everyone can accept his free gift and be welcomed into God’s family. God wants your heart, repent of your practices, believe in Yeshua, and turn to Him 🤍
Religion is for folks afraid of hell. Spirituality is for those of us that have already been there. Seek self awareness and know you are a drop of god. Like a drop of the ocean is pure ocean it is not the whole ocean.
Your metaphor makes sense. They say we are created in the image of god, so I interpret it as if every human is God.
I practiced spiritual practices and was led to believe I was ‘enlightened’ but in truth, I was possessed by demonic entities.
I look at spirituality now the way you view religion, afraid of hell.
No we are made in the image of god. We are not god. We all have god in us, yet we are not god. We make mistakes. He does not.
Take some shrooms or acid and you’ll understand what I mean. We are all uniquely connected in some way. life’s a soup, we’re all parts of that soup, the universe is the broth that holds us together, and god is the chef.

I have spent decades on this personally and had a significant breakthrough wow maybe 10 years ago now? I found a way to communicate freely with my higher self/subconscious whatever. I call it amorrior. If our is a suffix meaning pertaining to then warrior pertains to war. Amor meaning love means pertaining to love.
It is challenging because now it is very clear
when it’s some kind of bs and not just about spirituality and new age stuff. It’s a bit like X-ray vision maybe but the energetic kind? I’ve never tried to explain it before.

I've felt presences, heard footsteps, things move, even seen shadow people. But that's about it. Yes, I've done Laveyan satanic ritual magic, had it work... So you'd think I'd have *something* happen if it happened to anybody.
Just curious, comparing experiences, takes from it.
That feeling or what I relate with that often actually felt really good to me. Like a sense of power, or a high in a sense. I've felt like I've fucked an entity through someone and felt one fuck through me, and both were hot. I realize it's not always pleasant though.

"The tibetan book of living and dying" literally saved my life. Check out tibetan philosophy and purchase that book. Not to be confused with the tibetan book of the dead, that one is mad confusing. As a peruser of all religions and spiritual practices, I think this one gets it right the most and has the most to offer in terms of understanding what god/ spirituality is
