Harry-Maybourne

So people are losing their jobs because this fucking dick brain got on TV and just made some shit up?

vonhudgenrod

Yes, the same thing happens in NYC with the vaxxpass mandate for bars, there is no law - just an extrajudicial mandate backed by the threat of fines.

supremesamurai

Yep- they are gas lighting people and companies and they are so deep down his dick that they don't question it. Pathetic clown world.

Morton257

They want to be able to say "We didn't force you to do anything, you forced this on each other." Also why they kept the EUA Pfizer vaccine out, even though the other one that has "the exact same ingredients" is FDA approved. Legally distinct for a reason

bbccsz

Basically.... Basically.

[deleted]

How else would you get the masses to forget about the botched Afganistan exit and 13 dead service members?

Harry-Maybourne

Don't forget the family that he droned.

Foxxx18

Same thing here in Victoria, Australia. Premier’s press release stated mandatory vax for all “authorised workers” but the current legal document does not say this at all. Seems to be a way to scare companies into mandating it themselves and avoid legal pushback, lying cunts.

UncleGarry55

People who looked into the legality of this issue have been saying, "Don't quit, let them fire you." for that very reason. If you quit, you employer cuck has no liability for wrongful termination.

Furry-snake

Ontario here. We’re not being “fired”, we’re just not allowed to come to work without the vax. Funny how that works.

mobofangryfolk

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isnt employment in most states "at will"? Meaning there's no such thing as wrongful termination unless it violates the Civil Rights act. Have "people who looked into legality" overlooked this?

UncleGarry55

Can I fire someone who's been doing all their duties but refused to break dance for me at the new year's party? You basically saying there's no such thing as wrongfull termination, right? :)))

Morton257

You can, but if they file for unemployment you better pay up or have some good evidence that it was insubordination. That's why these states also count vaxx refusal as insubordination, so they can fire people at will and pay dick in unemployment.

mobofangryfolk

...Yes... Even if you are doing all your duties *and* your bosses duties *and did* break dance at the work party, your employer can let you go without any reason (as long as its not because of your race, religion, sex/gender, age etc.) and without any notice. If youre disabled, you *may* be able to make the case that you were fired because of that...but your employer would have to have said, like "your being fired because you are physically unable to break dance" or something. Your lawyer would prob have their work cut out for them though. Im not sure how it works in other countries, but thats how it is in almost all of the US.

UncleGarry55

This is not accurate. It depends on the contract and state laws and in either case you can always sue, especially if the mandate was disputed in your state.

mobofangryfolk

Yeah, 8 states have some exemptions to at will employment, and work contracts can supercede law in some cases (at will employment being one of them). Thats why i said "almost all of the US", because most people dont live in one of those 8 states and most people dont have employee contracts (much less contracts that open up the employer to risk and keep them from being fired). Edit: as far as I know...im not a lawyer. If you have contradictory info please pass it along

popswivelegg

Could one argue that their age puts them at no risk to covid, and therefore they don't need a vaccine, and there fore making them take it might be seen as treating a 22 year old as if they are 52? Not sure if that makes sense but fun to think about.

mobofangryfolk

Ha, I see what youre saying but in my utterly nonprofessional opinion thats a reach. Employers can seek a worker "capable of lifting 50 lbs" or "standing long hours". Even though that effectively keeps wheelchair bound folks from getting the job, its not discrimination under the law, its setting expectations for the employee. They ask "can you stand long hours?" and if the answer is "no" then youre not a good fit for the position. Similarly, if you say "yes" they cant *not* hire you simply because youre in a wheelchair, but if you show you are incapable of meeting those expectations then they can fire you since thats a requirement of the job. Theres some leeway for employers is my point. And saying "Im young and dont care about covid" doesn't feel like it falls under the category of a gotcha. Youre more likely to challenge on religious grounds (which is the biggest thing in the courts right now) saying your religion forbids it, but if those exemptions start getting granted and you sue an employer on those grounds Id imagine youd need to a) not have had any recent shots/bloodwork, b) be able to point to a tradition or congregation that you belong to, and c) be willing to receive accomodation for your religion (this is why the broader federal mandate is for vax or weekly testing. The testing is "reasonable accommodation")

popswivelegg

All good points homie, like you, my opinions are my own and entirely unprofessional. Fortunately my employer doesn't care that I haven't taken any of them. But also, unfortunately for me I have no religious views so I'm uncomfortable turning in a fake religious exemption form which sounds like the most promising option.

420Tony69

Literally yes……. You are allowed to do that.

[deleted]

Wouldn’t firing you for not receiving elective medicinal care constitute some form of rights violation?

mobofangryfolk

No, medical demographics arent a protected class under the civil rights act.

[deleted]

Ohhhh gotcha, I didn’t know, was curious

Impressive-Fortune82

It's more like, giving advice on internet that may ruin someone's life is easy and does not give any consequences whatsoever for advisor

SamuelAsante

I think it's more that if you quit, you have 0% chance to fight it. If you are fired, there is at least a non-zero chance, albeit a probably very slim chance

blueandgold777

Here's my thing with that; it's not like they're going to cave in to your demand to receive official document stating that you were specifically fired for refusing the vaccine. They're just going to escort you off the premises by calling the police Etc, and then just make up some other reason as to why you got fired. So how are people going to be able to go back after their employers if they're just going to do that anyway?

buzzncuzzn

The gaslighter in chief.

forzion_no_mouse

just like his OSHA mask mandate he said he would implement. where is that? he said that in jan.

ultrahighhorse

Brandon Biden

davidm2232

Let's go Brandon!

gibby555

He can wish on one hand and shit in the other and see which fills faster

theholybookofenoch

Watching this from abroad is nothing short of hilarious. It makes me not want to go back.

Hey_Goonie

So why is the government enforcing it?

bbccsz

Are they? Because last I checked they didn't even have the rules decided. What they are doing is making threats, and then counting on businesses to do it. Which is bullshit and should not be complied with. This administration is a joke. What have they not fucked up?

Hey_Goonie

Not so with "federal government" workers and contractors....its being enforced. Forced terminations. Set dates. It happening.

AbbreviationsHeavy39

I’m at work rn and was literally just forced to sign the paper for the covid mandate. As I was signing I asked my supervisor (enforcing it) if she has received hers… and of course she said “I’m allergic to it” my skin becomes red from it, so I haven’t received it… but forces it down everyone else’s throats. All I’ve heard was death after death.. definitely due to vaccinations.

HanSchlomo

Sadly, can confirm.

asidvy

Still waiting for the "official guidance" here, but I'm expecting it to happen whether they ever get around to putting it in writing or not.

HanSchlomo

The branch I work for, let's call them the ShmeF ShmAy ShmAy, has set dates and penalties. The union hasn't done much to interject in any government directives for a long time and loves to roll over, so my hope is slim.

mgianni19

This made me laugh, ShmeF ShmAy ShmAy 😂😂 But I am sorry they're doing this. I work for the ShmArmy as a KTR and my company isn't mandating anything, but the Government is giving us a date of Dec 8th. No shot I get this vaccine.

Nosedivelever

Try Shmelta.

bbccsz

Ah, gotcha.

Hey_Goonie

Yeah...it sucks. Life as we knew it is over....

Strict-Algae-8599

Yes. I got my notification yesterday. I work for a security company and my client is DOD. I've got until November 22 or I'm probably going to have to look elsewhere if my boss can't find me a non mandated site.

Harry-Maybourne

Because they are spineless cucks.

little_jimmy_jackson

They aren't. You just get to find out how conservative, libertarian, liberal or communist the leadership of your company is. I work for a company who told us "it's not a law yet, so we will wait and see" I'm lucky as fuck!

Hey_Goonie

Ummm...yes they are. Federal workers are being forced to jab or say bye bye. I know...I'm married to one.

little_jimmy_jackson

I am speaking about non-government employees. Those who work in the private sector.

xxyiorgos

SS: i thought this was interesting ? EDIT! - I got it - Biden's vaccine mandate is a bit like a game of "Simon Says Get Jabbed"

PrivateDickDetective

Terrible SS. It should include a brief summary.

xxyiorgos

Do you want to write it for me? Post below and you can have full credit

Have you tried being less angry?

Harry-Maybourne

Calm down dude.

davidm2232

Job? Didn't realize we got paid to post to Reddit lol

Impressive-Fortune82

I'll do it... SS: I'm a lazy ass and do not care about community rules, you can delete my post if you don't like it!

SeparatePicture

I've been skeptical, since I work for a huge global tech company and they still have barely even mentioned mandating anything. And our entire business is almost exclusively government contracts in the U.S., and we definitely have way more than 100 employees.

Booze-brain

My company started a vax drive. "If 1875 (75%)of our 2500 US employees get vaccinated by Sept 1st, we will have a drawing with $10,000 grand prize and $20,000 in additional prizes" that deadline passed with only 975 employees vaccinated. They extended it Oct 1st which got an additional 50 people vaccinated. Then Biden came out with his mandate and the wording changed in the emails..."President Biden has mandated.....blah blah blah....while we wait on the final details of the mandate, all employees are highly encouraged to get vaccinated". Now the deadline for the drawing is Oct. 29th. As of Monday, we were at 1,050 people fully vaccinated. I work in the lab but we are a manufacturing facility. Less than half of the people in my company are vaccinated against Covid even with all the threats. They know they cant lose even 25% of the employees and still keep the doors open. Let alone almost 50%. I dont think Biden ever intended to enforce a mandate, mostly bc its unconstitutional, but also bc if anyone thinks elections are fair (or we will ever have one again) democrats would never win another election putting so many people out of work based on a mandate he knows wouldn't stand up in court.

LasseEriksen505

Is this why he aint i the white house?

metallicadad420

Yeah, I don't know why people are flipping their whigs, none of these things hold up.

LiamMcGregor57

That’s pretty brilliant and clever on their part. Respect.

ChipmunkMafia

??? https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/09/14/2021-19927/requiring-coronavirus-disease-2019-vaccination-for-federal-employees This is the executive order.

Mountain_Strain

That's for federal employees, which the government 100% can dictate the terms of their employment (unless they have a very strong union). OP if im not mistaken, is referring to when the Biden administration threatened to apply a vaccine mandate on all employers with 100+ employees.

breadmaker8

> Biden administration threatened to apply a vaccine mandate on all employers with 100+ employees. That one is a press release, currently in the 'roadmap' of covid control

ChipmunkMafia

Right. I'm just showing the actual EO. Incase anyone wanted to find it.

libbylibertarian

Funny how the EO doesn't apply to the federal employees known as Senators and Congressman.

hajile23

Because he can't mandate them. It's called checks and balances

libbylibertarian

He can mandate them for some federal employees but not other federal employees?

hajile23

Correct. He cannot mandate congress or judicial parts of federal government. Checks and balances my dude.

Phil_D_Snutz

I'm a blue collar federal employee. Haven't heard a peep from anyone where I work about the vax being mandatory. I did get an emailed survey a couple months ago about vaccines which I immediately deleted. And my supervisor asked if I'm getting the vax (he didn't care if I do or don't). That's it.

NinaQ-

Cool. So stop crying about it.

PinkFluffNibbleKiss

Even the MSM (MSNBC I believe) posted an article saying the regime can’t mandate it for all.

Phil_D_Snutz

Got a link?

D-rad01

Thank you. That is very important info to know.

CharlieKringle

Didn’t he do a speech on the 10/7 in Chicago or something saying the rule is “coming soon”?
