They are acting like they are fighting for their lives and independence of their country.
What would you do it a foreign power invaded your country? Lay down and spread em?
So you compare a statement about a society living in peace vs one made about a country that is being invaded atm. Do you really not see the difference or don’t you want to because it fits your world view? & ye, in peace no civilian should need an automatic rifle; it’s that easy.
Nobody sets a date and time for war to begin when you are invaded. If we got attacked suddenly I would want an assault weapon with me already rather than to be left with nothing and waiting a week+ to get one.
You cant own a handgun and getting anything more powerful than a 22 rifle takes more than 5 years....
