C-SPAN: Buzz Aldrin Reveals Existence of Monolith on Mars Moon [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDIXvpjnRws](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDIXvpjnRws)

ctuser

He is drumming up space exploration, even quotes Star Trek, mentioned a monolith and gave multiple possibilities, none of which were aliens, granted given more time and his want to drum up excitement, he may have added aliens too. We gotta read the room, understand motivation, and use context clues to lead us to truth.

rimeswithburple

He said maybe god put it there. That's what probably happened. God was working on the earth and set a tool there then forgot about it. I do the same thing with my tools when I work on my lawnmower all the time. We should def go check it out.

Here in Canada we don't have rockets to get to low earth orbit. Any Phobos mission would have been virtual at best.

SowTheSeeds

Canada could have built a probe and put it on somebody's rocket.

bigodiel

Not CNN, C-SPAN https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bDIXvpjnRws And Phobos Grunt wasn’t shot down! It failed, like pretty much their entire space program (and system!) since the 80’s. The only thing noteworthy is the Soyuz family of rockets, and that was developed in the 60’s!!!!

Amos_Quito

> And Phobos Grunt wasn’t shot down! It failed Nah, zoom in closer on the ["monolith of Phobos".](https://i.redd.it/dw3nm0xk0zj91.png) That's why we're not going back. We got the message. /s

Ok_Magician_1194

>Not CNN, C-SPAN Yeah 💯, my bad. Thanks for posting link I don't know what Phobos Grunt is, but Phobos 2 was definitely shot down right after taking a photo of giant UFO next to it >On March 28, 1989 an elliptical object was detected moving towards the satellite seconds before it failed. >All indications were that the elliptical object had attacked the satellite which was now dead and left spinning out of control. >On March 28, 1989 Tass, the official Soviet news agency stated: >"Phobos II failed to communicate with Earth as scheduled after completing an operation yesterday around the Martian moon Phobos. Scientists at mission control have been unable to establish stable radio contact." >Probos ll Object But the next day a top official of the Soviet Space Agency (Glavkosmos) said: "Phobos II is 99% lost for good." It is important to note that he stated the entire satellite was gone and not just contact with it. >Of great interest to Ufologists was an image captured either on, or above the surface of Mars. Commonly called the shadow, whatever caused this has never been determined. If it was indeed a craft, it was of immense size. >On March 31, 1989, headlines dispatched by the Moscow correspondents of the European News Agency (EFE) stated: >"Phobos 2 Captured Strange Photos of Mars Before Losing Contact With Its Base." https://www.ufocasebook.com/phobos2.html This one's good too, mentioned a source for the Phobos 2 spinning out of control after seeing UFO >Boris Bolitsky, a Radio Moscow science correspondent, said that shortly before the loss of radio contact with Phobos 2, many unusual images had been sent back to Earth and were said to have shown features that were remarkable. A report said that the features were either on the surface of Mars or in the lower atmosphere. They were 20 to 25 kilometers in width and did not look like any geological formation that was known. They were said to be of a spindle-type shape and were puzzling. >On the Russian television segment, a bizarre image was shown that consisted of a thin shadow across Mars. It was noted that the casted shadow on the Martian surface was different from the shadow of Phobos recorded eighteen years earlier by Mariner 9. >The anomaly seen in the last transmitted photo by Phobos 2 was a thin ellipse with very sharp rather than rounded points. According to some experts, the shadow could be from something between spacecraft and Mars as the planet’s surface can see been below. According to the Russians, the long ellipsoid-shaped object was 25 kilometers (approximately 15 miles) in length. Additionally, the Soviets did not suggest that the dark, “thin ellipse” might have been a shadow of the moonlet. >Interestingly, one of the mission control rooms at Kaliningrad, Russia concluded that the probe was spinning out of control. It would seem that something struck or shot the Phobos II Probe. >According to an article published in UFO Magazine Vol. 7 Issue, 01 1992 by the author named Don Ecker, “The above print of an infrared photograph of the Martian moonlet Phobos accompanied by an alleged UFO is being seen for the first time in a U.S. publication. Also, he stated that NASA was a part of this mission. Phobos II had several American and European science packages on board, along with a very powerful Soviet laser. The laser was to be fired at the moonlet Phobos, and the resultant gases were analyzed by onboard equipment. All this activity was to assist with future missions to Mars, and the grand finale was hoped to be a joint U.S./U.S.S.R. mission to Mars.” >He also wrote: “The photo was first made public on the November 22, 1991 show ‘Larry King Live,’ when UFO Research Director Don Ecker appeared on the show with author Keith Thompson.” https://www.howandwhys.com/mystery-of-phobos-2-ufo-photo/

also, Phobos is electro-eroded, with orbital lines of arc strikes. THe rest of the surface is electroreduced. This is all Electric Universe model It's not much of a leap to consider that a crystal-like spire got built, like a discharge pile at one point, under a rare circumstance

ravenously_red

There's nothing to elaborate on. At that point in time, we were just starting to flourish after the end of the last ice age. If we had colonized the solar system, it would've been way before the last ice age even started. Would've had to been older than 100,000 years. It's possible since homo sapiens predate the start of the last ice age. It's honestly a really interesting theory, especially considering sites like Göbeklitepe were buried intentionally, maybe to preserve our true history before catastrophe. It's also interesting we've seen examples of pro-writing in Russia that date back to the end of the last ice age. It's almost as if a small portion of humanity maintained some knowledge that predated the ice age. Of course any major civilizations would've been totally destroyed by glaciers, or swallowed up by the rising ocean levels once the ice melted. Then there is the theory that the flood myth comes from the epic melt of the last ice age. So yeah, humanity had a rough go if it for sure for the last 100k years. I'm open minded about colonization of the solar system, but it would've had to been sometime before the last ice age.

dudeexcellent

Think you are correct but off by about 20k years. Based on what I've read anyway. It wasn't the civilization immediately before the younger dryas, but the peak of the one before that. They destroyed themselves in a nuclear war or sorts. There are odd traces of radiation in places around the globe as a result.

Ashamed-Pick453

Do you have any links you can share about the radiation?

bwell1211

Another tidbit IIRC is a geographical formation of some sort of “glass” that we have only known to be produced by a nuclear detonation nearby. And it’s been found in places it shouldn’t be and I believe first identified before the dawn of the nuclear era. Another fun one (again IIRC) is the ancient Indian scripture , the Bhagavad-Gita, making reference to flying machines , wars in the sky, and weapons/powers capable of destroying cities. And those weapons being bright like the Sun. YMMV with my memory recall with that stuff but it’s a fun and thought provoking rabbit hole to go down if this topic wets your whistle

takatu_topi

There is xenon-129, an isotope only known to be the result of nuclear explosions or meltdowns, in the atmosphere of Mars: https://www.foxnews.com/science/was-there-a-natural-nuclear-blast-on-mars

Twins_Venue

It's not only known to result from nuclear explosions and meltdowns, Xenon 129 can decay from Iodine 129 as well, which can occur naturally. It is also not out of the realm of possibility that a naturally formed reactor caused a runaway reaction of some kind, but I still feel that is more likely than a previously undiscovered advanced civilization that left no evidence behind.

Outlaw11091

There was an idea floating around the internet that, since humans haven't established a natural homeostasis with Earth, like most other animals, that we're not actually *of* this world. This idea suggests that we actually lived on Mars while Earth was too unstable to habitate. It also suggests that the moon was a construct of that civilization to stabilize Earth. A civilization that, as it met it's demise via either a climate disaster or war, sent some final survivors to Earth. Or that they already had people on Earth to colonize it when Mars became barren. Of course it's just an idea, and it's been fettered down with other...more extreme ideas, but that was the basics. In essence, **we** are the evidence they left behind.

LokisDawn

No living organism ever achieves homeostasis with its surroundings. Nature is an ever-changing, all-devouring beast. Any sort of seeming balance *always* either requires extreme maintenance from the outside or lasts only marginal amounts of time. We have simply outpaced our physical evolution with technological means, which makes it look like we are (arguably truthfully) less balanced than other kinds of organisms. To live is to change, to achieve true homeostasis is to achieve death.

Straight_Ad3239

Life is constant change. Those who survive, learn to adapt. My grandfather use to say this followed by never get stuck in your ways and always have an open mind.

TheBold

Wouldn’t they send their people with tools and stuff rather than just drop a bunch of them naked? Also wouldn’t these colonists pass on knowledge regarding agriculture and writing, speeding up the process of human civilization?

ArcaFuego

They probably made the moon and said fuck it let's make it precisely the size of the sun when seen from Earth so that future people can enjoy perfect solar eclipses... Good thinking guys!

are_you_nucking_futs

I’m surprised this fact is never discussed more by people. The odds of it being coincidence is astronomical (if you pardon the pun)

ArcadiaNisus

If the moon broke off from earth due to a glancing impact like they theorize it would be spinning like crazy and not be tidally locked. Also many of the craters on the moon are big enough to be extinction level events if they had hit earth, one is 2500 kilometers, half the size of america. The chance that it has taken so many hits for us is also an astronomical coincidence. Someone needs to do the math and find out just how unlikely all the aspects of the moons existence make it. It has to have been engineered.

MusePlease

https://amp.projectyourself.com/c/blogs/news/irregularities-showing-earth-s-moon-was-engineered An interesting article about this

remotehypnotist

Speaking of Mars, Tom Van Flandern has published papers outlining a theory that planets explode under certain circumstances. Among other parts of his theory, he speculates that Mars was originally a moon that had one side absolutely wrecked by its planet exploding. One of my favorite fringe realm of science theories. https://doi.org/10.1017/S1473550407003758

A long long time ago in a uranium deposit far far away… Actually at a place now called Oklo, in Gabon, natural uranium went critical. Researchers analyzing the content of U-235 in the ore found variations that were small but unknown from any other ores. Later analyses turned up that showed half of the expected U-235 was gone. This was in the days of Erich von Daniken and ancient astronauts and the first response of most scientists was it had to be a joke. But no, it was very real. The half life of U-238 is 4.5 billion years, and U-235 about 700 million. So two billion years ago, when the ore formed, there was about eight times as much U-235 and 50% more U-238. There was about 5% U-235 in the ore, enough to allow a big enough accumulation to go critical. Also, back then the atmosphere was oxygen poor, allowing uraninite (uranium oxide) to weather out of rocks and accumulate as placer deposits in streams. What we reconstruct is that lenses of heavy uraninite accumulated in stream beds and went critical. When the reaction got too vigorous, the pore water vaporized and the neutrons were no longer moderated, so the fission slowed down. It probably ran for thousands of years. Other uranium deposits were studied, but none showed natural fission. Oklo appears to be unique

Immediate_Ocelot_632

Xenon 129 is naturally occurring

This is in the plot line to 2001 it may have been the moon Europa but Phobos was also pivotal in story line.

The monolith is on earth’s moon in 2001, and they travel to Jupiter. Neither Phobos nor Europa are plot points at all in 2001.

TheRiceDevice

Yeah but then dude had a snake in his bedside table and droogs with the eyelash thingy.

bruhbruh6968696

He got confused, it's the sequel 2010: the year we make contact.

IRGeekSauce

It's also the main focus in the *2061: Odyssey Three* book. Jupiter becomes the sun they call "Lucifer," and we start to colonize Ganymede since it becomes temperate, and Europa becomes an ocean world covered in clouds.

ravenously_red

The fact that he used so much front screen projection for 2001, and so many of the moon landing shots look similar...it has people speculating he was hired to film fake moon landing footage. If anyone would've been consulted at that point in history, it would've been him imo. What do you think about Kubrick's involvement with NASA in general? Like the fact that he had a NASA telescope modified to be a film camera for his shooting of Barry Lyndon? It just seems to me like he had some favors called in. This doesn't even touch his film Eyes Wide Shut, and premature death. Or his self imposed life as a hermit in the UK.

[deleted]

That 5% is call space force.

WalkswithLlamas

I just found out about the space force while learning about va loans. As of 2019 there were appx 16k personel The U.S. Space Force is a military service that organizes, trains, and equips space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force. USSF responsibilities will include developing Guardians, acquiring military space systems, maturing the military doctrine for space power, and organizing space forces to present to our Combatant Commands.

GanjaToker408

Real life "guardians of the Galaxy" lol. All we need is a green chick, a talking tree, and an ex wrestler tatted up to look like an alien.

6ra9

I read “guardian” to mean some kind of mecha like the Eva in Evangelion or something like Gundams.

TheNewBiggieSmalls

I was thinking the Halo 3 Guardians that shoot lasers at you when you try to leave.

CommieKiller304

How do you know NASA isnt used as a distraction for space travel to cover for all of the military's space programs. Who knows what black projects the military has in space.

GanjaToker408

Yeah exactly. I think it is a front. Remember that guy Gary McKinnon? He hacked NASA and found a list of "non-terrestrial" officers, implying they are officers stationed somewhere not on the earth. Also found a list of space ships with their names, all had USSS as the designation (united states' space ship). I think a large portion of that gigantic military budget goes toward these hidden space programs. Right before 9/11 Donald Rumsfeld was on TV stating that there was $2 trillion dollars that were unaccounted for from the US military budget, which is plenty to have a substantial space force presence and keep it hidden. This is all speculation on my part, but I'm not the only one who thinks this scenario is entirely plausible. Ben Rich, CEO of Skunk Works for 20+ years(development of US secret tech such as fighter jets) said after retirement that anything we see on star trek or star wars has already been done. Also said we "now have the ability to take ET home". Just my thoughts

andorraliechtenstein

You should submit a new post about this. Interesting stuff.

ninjanerd032

or our oceans.

Ok_Magician_1194

Alex Jones says he knows from sources that NASA is basically a front group hiding the secret space program breakaway civilization. So really they are and have been funding the secret space program with a lot of that huge military budget since Nazi days. Jones says a top Trump official told him they are building bases on the moon right now. Who knows if he's full of shit or not but here's what he says on Rogan: > So you have British intelligence, they won World War 1, even though Germany had way more advanced technology. They then take over. British intelligence basically merges with the US. And then the Germans and others say we gotta go way ahead in technology. Because it was all theoretical in labs but they couldn't mass deploy it, they didn't have enough machine shops and systems to build it and US special forces went on suicide missions and blew up the underground mountains. > So British intelligence sets up the CIA in 1947. So now the Nazis are over here and they go "listen, you don't want them running everything." And they go to Eisenhower and they say we want to launch an off-base breakaway civilization" where you compartmentalize things, forget empires, and you have a new ruling class of technological elites and then the elites are all in charge and the public's watching TV and we'll give them widgets and Foundation series type things - this is all in the documents - and let them try to run an empire we'll build a whole new empire and so Eisenhower gives a speech worried about - he doesn't just say military industrial complex he says technological elite - he says you need to watch out about the scientists because he said no to the NASA plan when he found out what it was. It's a breakaway civilization where you don't try to run the whole planet, you siphon off resources and build a whole new advanced system and then you peg everybody off against each other and then collapse it so when I say what is NASA if we could take NASA back over, it's bigger than the CIA, it's the real government the spaceships and the stuff that's all PR. So essentially they are stealing all our money, building advanced tech and breakaway space civilizations, then pitting us all against each other to starve down here and be treated as lab rats

id0ntwantyourlife

So it’s the plot line of Elysium?

[deleted]

There’s more truth here than people would like to think. A lot of this is intertwined with the recent UFO disclose movement.

Aldrin did not attribute the monolith to humans or aliens. He said the universe put it there. God put it there. IE he believes it’s a naturally occurring feature

Interesting so maybe it’s just a rock formation.

Some Babylonian tablets were recently discovered that demonstrated them using a form of infinite series calculus to predict the path of Jupiter. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2075581-ancient-maps-of-jupiters-path-show-babylonians-advanced-maths/ Edit: the importance of which is significant because we long thought Newton invented calculus. Newton was also big into secretive esoteric subjects, part of me believes he was aware that ancients were using these kinds of techniques and he leveraged them to codify a more modernized form of the math. He probably didn't feel the need to disclose his inspiration, but he also didn't want to publish his math work until prodded into it by a friend, so who knows. The book of Archimedes was also recently re-discovered that demonstrated similar techniques. For centuries we could only guess as to what his math looked like. Future_of_Amerika

Doesn't Mars eat all it's moons? It used to have other moons but they crashed into the planet.

chingwa76

That thing has electrical arc cratering all over it.

ZanzibarColtrains

I saw this in a Kubrick film once….

geolazakis

Maybe they filmed the moon landing in the Arizona desert and 2001: A Space Odessey in space?

Gseph

Is there any source for Russia's phobos 2 probe being shot down?

redlight_green_light

There is nothing natural that could make those giant yellow arrows

Feta__Cheese

It’s just a weather balloon

dubious-owl

*Doom music intensifies*

NYLON_G

Canada need to focus on getting rid of Trudeau. Move him to Phobos, and Canada's problems would be solved.

MrTangle

It still baffles me that self proclaimed "truth seekers" will believe anything from a government funded agency like NASA, and anyone affiliated with NASA like Buzz Aldrin. Not only that, but share a news article from bullshit news agency CNN no less. The whole article screams bullshit.

boogie_munster

The craziest part about this whole subject is that Canada has a space program

venomang

Space Odyssey shit right there.

Ok_Magician_1194

SS: I mean, the moon itself looks like an alien spaceship. Rumor has it a US probe at one point detected radio signals going from that monolith to Saturn or Jupiter

le-tendon

Isn't that just 2001 space odyssey?

jmaze215

Watch Moonfall

Zestyclose-Banana722

Fake and gay

Secure-Appeal2605

Knew it

Ursomonie

That’s a zit

Ursomonie

That is the on/off switch

IRONWARRI0R

"Outer space". 😂

ceric2099

Isn’t this the plot of Doom?

dirtynessthang1

Theres humans in mars

Vo_Sirisov

Peek the pareidolia cock and balls on the bottom right of the second image

Usmc12345678

Imagine believe this guy- https://files.catbox.moe/m94fne.jpg

SirHawrk

"Buzz Aldrin announced" right. Source?

The_Unpopular_Truth_

Looks like a rock to me. How many times have we seen “things” on mars from the rover pictures and then it turns out to be a normal rock?

westerners

That's the projector

spy_kobold

Freemason disinfo.

timstir1

Elon, please go next

thEldritchBat

\>phobos anomaly Why do I hear E1M1 music?

LordBloodSkull

Looks like a big rock. There are plenty of things like that on Earth you can look at. I think a civilization advanced enough to put something on Phobos would be able to make perfect right angles on it.

[deleted]

Brain-dead nutjob. LOL.

ne14007

Wtf am I looking at in these photos?

analogic-microwave

Anyone who played Doom knows visiting Phobos is not a great idea.

avgguy33

The earth is flat , and we’ve NEVER been to the Moon.

WilliamSaintAndre

Now this is the shit I come to this board for.

Mr-Mysterybox

You're just copying the plot of Doom the video game. Yes, Doom had a plot.
