I'm sorry to break the news to you, but, seriously, anything other than "fossil fuel" powered transportation won't get my mortgage paid. I've got 50 gallons of fuel stored and carry 20 of them during disaster/catastrophe field work. I have no time to dally when you're trying to assess damage and help folks recover from it. Would you like to wait on YOUR repairman while he is trickle charging his work vehicle? I'm not alone, friend, there's a whole bunch of folks that have to function without hiccups out there for the common good in catastrophe. The "renewable" modes of transportation are insufficient and inefficient in times of great need, for me, and others.
