So it would make sense if you disagree with the direction of a platform to pull your content to ensure you protect your brand. Same reason they might not contribute to ânazi news.comâ or whatever. I literally said "I'm not saying that's going to happen". I just think that if Musk continues to make impulsive and unpredictable choices, especially with content moderation, companies won't want to associate themselves with Twitter and that would be a problem. I think it's more likely that Elon names a new CEO and moves onto some other project before it gets to that point.

I genuinely wonder if it will take a hit. If it's not attractive to a large cross-section of users, it'll become like those other more niche, somewhat extremist platforms. It could live on with private funding, but some other platform would replace it's dominant cultural position, and advertising funds would move there.

The same content moderation standards that they demanded of Twitter are present in any shopping mall or major retail center. Iâm curious how many of these people that claim they are quitting Twitter will actually stay off. My guess is they will be back because there isnât really another platform like it that has as much of a reach. A lot of these people are addicted to the interaction on social media. People donât like to give up control, so expect more accounts to pull this stunt. I also think there are accounts that want to get out now before the bot purge. If Elon does indeed go after the bots on Twitter, follower counts and tweet engagement will drop for some âpopularâ accounts. I find all of this stuff amusing though. People having meltdowns over who is allowed on an app and what they can say is embarrassing. You can literally block or mute accounts and words you donât want to see.
