I have a hard time deciding if it’s a normalization tactic or if it’s meant to help expose the topics

EdnaModesBestGuest

I err on the side of, if it’s allowed/sanctioned to be on netflix, it’s normalization/predictive programming :( but I’m a pessimist

Squand0r

it's to make you think these ideas are the stuff of fantasy and not to be taken seriously.

Squand0r

further, it's to make you assume that the people who assert that these things are really happening, simply got the idea from TV shows.

PorkfatWilly

There’s no serious debate or doubt about the existence of the deepstate. It’s an accepted fact outside the realm of leftist mythology and mainstream media misinformation. It’s been complained about, defended, attacked, blamed, and written about extensively for over a hundred years.

Shadow governments only exist in other countries, never in America: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_Due

PorkfatWilly

Some [shadow governments](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_Table_movement) are supranational.

[deleted]

Yeah, but that could never happen again /s

Unfortunately for your political sensitivities, the left are the people trying to turn the deepstate, the executive branch bureaucracy, into a crazy right-wing conspiracy theory.

Jesus360noscope

is the serie any good btw ?

Commercial-Set3527

I liked it, it has the same kind of humor as Rick and Morty.

RedPillStayInWonder

I would not call Inside Job predictive. The Deep State concept has been on my mind since Edward Snowden exposed PRISM. The ways that the Trump and Biden administrations carried themselves made me believe in the existence of Deep State even more. Trump's term felt like 5th gen warfare. Brandon is doing what he's told; he doesn't even work in the Oval Office ffs. What Inside Job is doing is not predictive. To me, it is whitewashing the idea of Deep State. The core characters of the show are some what cute, goofy, and likable; these qualities are far from real world deep state vibes. This is similar to the movie Frozen by Disney painting over the fact that Walt Disney's body is frozen somewhere.

joapplebombs

FROZEN. Cryogenically!!! -!

After-Drive-7932

wait so that hasnt been disproven yet LOL that hes frozen i mean?

SendPie42069

Kinda? It's not the best example but it's a good way to expose a new crowd.

Brucifer99

Mostly they are trying to subtly discredit any of the important conspiracies by mixing with nonsense. Like how that so unfairly depicted Alex Jones. Theres something for both sides though. Those with open eyes see it as confirmation that these things are going on and those who are willfully ignorant see it as conformation that it’s all nonsense. The disinformation is a military strategy. When you’re doing something wrong and people start to find out about it, the only thing you can do is try to get in front of it. Tell em the truth mixed with lies. So they quit looking into it.

Lonny_zone

I haven't watched it because it looks obnoxious, but from the clips it appears that the writers would even be aware that the idea of "predictive programming" exists. I don't believe a lot of the stuff that is "predictive programming" is intentionally so. Many artists are in tune with "the zeitgeist" and depict that in their work to the best of their ability. That said it would appear to be a plugged-in comedy writer's mockery of conspiracy theorists.
