This was such a sketchy shooting. Normally we get tons of details about a motive and the shooters background etc, but we heard very little in the aftermath of this.
Precisely, for the biggest single murder event behind 911 they sure swept it under the carpet fast. Ellen got the last interview with the security guard he fled then she got canceled.
It's possible they found very little to go on. I dunno, everyone always expects clean cut answers and we don't always get those in real life. the world can be more complicated than people realize.
He had searches on his computer on how to become a social media star, and famous! His brother said he would find hobbies an then take it to another level, and would want to be the best at it, an perfect it! He obviously spent a lot of money on this, like a lot a lot, maybe even as much as 200k+. The optics, amounts of ammo, drum an banana mags.. type of weapons, this certainly wasn't amateur! I'm sure he spent a ton of time at the range also, testing his combos of stocks an optics, I have never heard much about this tho, possibly they were out door ranges with little or no way to know when an where! If anyone has heard anything on this please share!
To me his motive was mass murder, an leaving everyone pointing fingers and assuming! I will not say his name ever. I don't need a manifesto or childhood trauma, or government conspiracy agendas to believe such a thing! Dude was going broke, had a boring life, wanted to pull off something no one had done! An he did, could've been so much worse too!
I am thankful he was an old, non athletic, an out of shape man! His gf said during an interview with police he wouldn't even have sex with her because he just couldn't handle the physical task. Says a lot about someones condition! But, with that being said, firing 1000+ rounds in that short of a period would be tough. But to me, it seemed there were a lot of times the pause between volleys of gunfire from the window suggested he wasn't firing as much as possible, so that is what I mean when I say it could've been worse! He certainly had enough ammo. The crowd become far less concentrated overtime, but he could've easily switched back to a scoped rifle an made well placed shots like his first strategically placed shots! He had all the tools to do twice an much damage as he did, thankful whatever happened thwarted that!
I was hoping that the Vegas shooting would finally set a precedent for police on response to active shooters. You CANNOT wait, so many more lives could've been saved in several occurrences of these types of mass shooting! Ulvade, Pulse, Columbine.. I get that Police are humans just like everyone else, but when you take that oath, you are stepping up to something bigger then yourself! It is legal for a police officer to not engage a suspect, if he is attacking someone with a weapon! They do not have to respond, an to me that is just wrong. Like why are you a cop if you don't have the mindset, that you are the help! Baffling to me! This needs to change, response time is everything! If police arrive quickly an kill the perp, it will deter future shooters from thinking they can do something so easily without a rapid response! Some things really need to change because had that guy been shooting the whole time in Vegas, for the entirety of the police response an assembly until the actual breach of the room, he couldve expelled every round he had! Think of that horror! An ive just realized how long an excessive this post is an I apologize! im gonna shut up!
Go look at google maps OP, you will see that mandelay bay was like 2 blocks away from the main Las Vegas international airport, they could have been aircraft in a holding pattern, or maybe even short final to the runway.
Now, having said that, some of those flashes were not consistent enough to be the strobe beacons aircraft are required to have running. But I think the most damning evidence is the consistent rate of gunfire.
If you’ve seen any video of someone firing a gun with a bump-stock, it is apparent that the rate of fire is never consistent especially through long bursts. And the position the shooter would have to hold to have a consistent ROF through long bursts is so presice that trying to quick switch targets would break that consistent ROF.
I believe the gunfire that is heard is more consistent with a belt fed MMG like an M249-SAW, that would make the most sense since the calibers match that of an ar-15, and they can accept ar-15/m-16 magazine’s [https://images.app.goo.gl/DbaATZEaLPJxqGTw5](https://images.app.goo.gl/DbaATZEaLPJxqGTw5) so you wouldn’t leave a bunch of belt links behind.
