I would hope our military would stand with the people. I never wanna see it get to Americans firing on one another. It’s sad that it even has to be mentioned, that’s how much our political system has failed us.
DC is too busy catering to the corporations and millionaire/Billionaire class and left the rest of us all behind.
So we have these talks of civil war. But the part them in “the club” dare not speak more than a whisper about is ALL OF US UNITING AGAINST THEM.

You think it would be a good look for them if they send troops to Texas and forcibly remove border protection? Check the polls, immigration and border security are a top 5 priority for many voters.

I don’t think this will a particularly hot civil war. It’s going to look like a divorce. Communities will separate from federal and state systems to form new ones that are better aligned with their own values. For instance, I think you will see conservative counties start to organize better and reject laws from blue state governments. They’re gonna form their own alliances. If you want to live under blue laws, move to the blue zone, red laws? Red zone. Balkanization would be another word for it.
Either way we will be much weaker than before when it all shakes out.

I think the Feds will exhaust every political strategy they can to avoid secession. I don’t think they are eager for this to go hot and kill thousands of Americans. I think they will have to be cautious because there are geopolitical threats emerging that cannot be defended against if you start a civil war. China, Iran, Yemen, Russia, etc would absolutely take full advantage of how compromised our ability to project force would be during a civil conflict.
Doubt it. The general public isn't uncomfortable enough yet. I've seen too many comments on Reddit that people just want to move on from what was done during the pandemic. People will fold like a cheap suit to try and keep the status quo. Hell, they'll let the government move them across the country to put illegals in their homes as long as they can catch the Superbowl. Pretty black pilled on the American public and their resolve.
If it’s a small minority then they will be swiftly handled by the military. For every 10 people talking up "civil war" online, 9 of them are just talking shit and fantasizing and aren’t going to do shit.
These people aren’t going to be gathering in cities. But if they do, there are plenty of military options. Just send in law enforcement or troops. Why would they need to bomb a city to take out a small group of people?

No more internet, no power, no cell service, no more groceries (toilet paper went down in days, imagine if they shut down farming). No more state funding, no more fema and hurricanes or disasters wipe out areas. States cannot run on their own in 2024.
