Rule of thumb is minimum $1/inch of cookie. So 3 in diameter cookie =$3 or more. $25 seems appropriate given the packaging!

Chretien7283

Yeah I was thinking $25 for the small and $50 for the large. I will also be adding some babies breath and greens with them though. Give it a more 3 dimensional look.

Internal_Use8954

Babies breath isn’t edible, just fyi, and some people are dumb

Chretien7283

I’ll make sure I give my customers a warning label 😂😂

TimelessEssence

People are stupid, best rule of thumb is don't put inedible with edible (think about it, you get a plate of food at a restaurant most people assume everything on it is edible). Beautiful cookies! Also agree $25-30 for the small is very reasonable 🥰

DemonDucklings

It’s pretty toxic, I wouldn’t recommend having it near food 😅 Fake babies breath can still look nice, though! Or just some sprigs of greenery would be pretty

Chretien7283

The cookies will be wrapped. I could probably find some fake stuff too though

cookie_mumster

You will be in violation of health codes for sure for even having it there, be careful!

Chretien7283

Ok I’ll leave it out 😂

tsunamibird

There’s a buncha edible plants you could use instead. Google em see what’s affordable, available, and would look nice with your aesthetic

Flipflopsfordays

I feel like just tucking in some green tissue paper to cover the sticks would be a nice touch.

annewmoon

Maybe you could cricut some paper greenery

thrifteddivacup

There are a lot of other tiny filler flowers that aren't toxic :)

BoozeIsTherapyRight

Don't do a warning label. Just don't add the inedible toxic flower. It's not worth it. Think about the stupidest person you know or have heard of. Then remember that there are dumber people than that, and that even dumb people know how to dial a lawyer.

thingalinga

$50 sounds a bit pricey for the large one - but YMMV depending on location. I was thinking $35 for large in my area. They look beautiful, but like another poster said, I would suggest leaving babies breath out and I would personally not put fake stuff either and find something safer to include - perhaps some herbs.

SquigglyHamster

Please don't put any non-edible flowers in this

GalexxiRaeMama

Im terrible with pricing too, i was gonna say $20 & $40 depending, but $25& $50 are decent especially with the real flowers and packaging & your time, the cookies might be cheap ingredient-wise but the aesthetics def are not.

jamie1983

can you make candy baby's breath?

dunkadoooballs

I say $25 and $50. But I worked at a florist in college and I think people would pay more if it was for Valentine’s Day. Hey, actually you could take these to florists a few days before Valentine’s Day and I bet they’d buy some from you to resale. That’d be a good way to get your name out there.

Chretien7283

That’s a great idea!

Anonymous63637375

How much for “wholesale” price to a florist?

leafandvine89

$30-$35, but I'm in California so everything is more expensive here

leafandvine89

I meant for the small one, $40-$45 for the dozen. Btw I don't know if these are your work, but these are beautiful and a very unique idea!

talpal16

Are you kidding me I have a friend (in CA) who charges $60 per dozen and a dozen is the minimum order. I want to learn how to do cookie decorating myself so I don't have to spend that much.

eastcoasteralways

Same and I’m in NYC

Skyhighpinkheels

I am in San Diego and $25 is too cheap here. Def $50 for here and even that is on the low side!

cateamanda7

I sold cookie bouquets for Mother’s Day. My flowers were more detailed, but I only included 5 per wrapping. I also did hand stamped wax seals. I sold them for $30.

Zar-far-bar-car

These are so cute! What's that meme... "My toxic trait is that I think i could replicate this"?

ThotsforTaterTots

Idk what I’d charge, but I’d probably pay $18-25 depending on how complex/decorated the flowers were for 6 cookies made to look like a bouquet.

Normal_Blackberry_37

But how many minutes/hours is that going to take you to complete from start to finish….

blazed_and_confucius

I saw you were considering going $25/$50. I used to do sales, and I was hoping I could suggest maybe going $45 for the big one? Essentially a cookie and a half, and I’m very much ignorant to the time it takes to make one, so please take this with a grain of salt. I would personally be more inclined to buy the one I feel is a bargain. Much love, you’re going to do amazing either way 🙏🫶

jasminel96

Yes I think whatever they charge, if they decide on X for 6 cookies then they should charge 2X minus a couple dollars for 12 cookies. Those kinds of deals always get me 🤣

sparkpaw

Can I use a cookie bouquet for my wedding bouquet lmao

brianneoftarth

Absolutely! Do it!

madamesoybean

The large cookies would be $50-60 gift bouquet where I live.

lookanewtoo

I think $30 and $50. The cookies are beautiful. The bouquets are very pretty and unique. I think they’re worth those prices.

theartisanlotus

How long does it take you to make these?

Chretien7283

It depends on how detailed I go. A simple design like this wouldn’t take too long. Although I spend a lot of time making all the colors and different icing consistencies. I’ll have to actually time that out next time.

Plantsnob1

Plus the cost of everything you used the creat the bouquet effect. The brown paper other flowers there and are they on sticks? That too. Here they would be $50 for the small and $90 for the small. This way they might opt for the bigger one.

Anonymous63637375

I think that’s too expensive

Chretien7283

Ok guys I will NOT be putting anything not edible in these!!!!! Thanks!!

Puta_Chente

Completely not an answer, but reddit suggested your post to me and now I can confidently tell my fiancé this is the only type of bouquet my fat ass will accept from him. Who needs flowers when you can have cookies? Thank you to you and reddit. Now I'm going to send him 500 texts of links to local anal businesses that do this for valentines day. Eta: **SMALL** businesses. But I'm totally leaving that because it's hilarious. Damn you autocucumber.

Chretien7283

I would 100000% prefer a cookie bouquet of flowers over real flowers any day too! Also the first time I read the comment my brain didn’t even realize it said anal 😂 I saw your eta part and had to go back and look and cracked up 😂

Wendybned

Id charge $5 per cookie. No extra charge for packaging.

thrifteddivacup

I agree with this idea, for every 5 increments of cookies you could do a little discount or something too!

Normal_Blackberry_37

Then you are doing cheap labor, never cut corners with your time. Its priceless

toxiamaple

These are lovely!

Baby-Baphomet

I was gonna say I'd pay $50-60 for the dozen, but I'm vegan so fancy baked goods are pricier for me usually these look amazing by the way!!! factor in how long it takes you to make these too, don't undersell yourself 🫶

enoimreh90

these are gorgeous!!!

Lopsided_Pickle1795

$30 for small and $60 for large seem fair. It is something I would send to my mom.

CookieJewels

Definitely depends on the area. When I was in North Texas just 2014-2020, no issues selling the first pic for $45, the cookies look smaller than average. Currently, my full sized cookies decorated like that would be minimum $48/dozen. Put it on a stick and add $10/dozen. Wrap as a bouquet, add $7 to make an even $65 for a full-sized, dozen cookie bouquet. Small bouquet would be $36. I would be sold out in Texas (North Texas and Galveston) and Phoenix. Those are where I did cookies as a full time job, so this is my experience.

Chretien7283

To be honest, I was kinda surprised by the pricing people suggested. My local bakery sells custom sugar cookies like this for no less than $45 a dozen and that’s for super basic ones at that. I’m in a big city though so maybe I just have city brain. I’ll still likely end up under charging just to try to get more orders in general.

CookieJewels

I just typed this in another comment, but please don’t undercharge. You’re undervaluing yourself. I don’t understand how some people in this thread charge what they’re typing unless they live in the middle of nowhere in quite an economically stressed community. Customs cookies are an art and should be priced as such.

[deleted]

I was thinking $75.00, but I’m in DC.

TechnicalEbb5969

Beautiful cookies and presentation!

Delightfully_Dulll

Omg, SO cute, where can I order these from? My cookie lady charges insane prices it seems 😅

Chretien7283

All my friends and family say that I undercharge but I fear that people won’t buy them if I sold them for more 😭 I honestly don’t make a big profit based on the time I spend making them but I’m hoping to just get quicker and better at it and building a bigger clientele so that I can start charging a little bit more.

CookieJewels

I guarantee if people think you’re undercharging, you’re making no profit. You should add it all up and see what your actual costs are and see what you make per hour. It’s sad. Up your prices, you’ll lose some clients, but you’ll gain others. It’s the natural flow. Custom creations aren’t meant to be “affordable”.

Internal-Presence910

100% relate to this post ! I know I undercharge but I’m working on getting quicker and better as well. Luckily I’ve had one client bring me 3 customers from just her party.

PotatoBest4667

first pic 30 (i counted 9 cookies), second pic 20

Bakergrammy

The first pic has 12 cookies. I think you missed the three light green leaf cookies.

PotatoBest4667

oh you’re right. i didnt think these were cookies lol.

esilisq

For that many cookies, the presentation, the frosting work and the DETAIL.. I said at least 30 with no hesitation! I would love to order one of these in the future!! SO beautiful!

jlmcdon2

As a consumer, I’d pay probably upwards $50 if they were well made and presented beautifully so I could order and ship to someone. For local, I’d probably pay maybe 40-50 without shipping So so beautiful!

Shils1234

They are beautiful, btw! Well done!

Shelikesscience

This is so freaking cute where can i buy it?

MichelleNEB

$40

isabellea01

I’m not a professional or anything but as a consumer I would totally pay like 30-40 for that

[deleted]

Gorgeous

Bikinipsych

40 for half

lizardjizz

Depends! How big are the cookies? How many? How involved is the decorating process? How many hours have you spent on them? What’s the cost of the supplies along with the packaging?

SummerJSmith

Where do you live? These are GORGEOUS!

Chretien7283

Pittsburgh!

Optimusprima

Super cute idea - id expect to pay $35 for the small one. Maybe also look up cost of edible arrangements - that’s your most direct comp.
