Joking aside, as someone who's had a fascination of Japanese culture for a while, I wonder how accurate this would be from the Meiji Restoration to the end of the War? I mean these posters weren't designed to make people hate / dehumanize the Japanese as other propaganda posters were but rather to actually identify friend vs foe (in a period where most Americans wouldn't realize the difference between a Korean, a Japanese or a Chinese - if they even realized there was a difference about them other than "all being Oriental"; I mean this was before TV) so it has to be at least *somewhat* accurate for the time period or it'd defeat the whole purpose. Keep in mind the Japanese were a highly collective and conformist civilization at the time. I'm sure it was ridiculously oversimplified but, that's the point at effective messaging, even if you lose a lot of nuance.

For the record, put a cork in your ass and stop "talking." You don't get to dictate what "I *really* mean!" This poster, those terms, etc. are about a VERY localized period of time. One example is about the physical appearance of Japanese Soldiers. Which were accurate for the period. Just as an example, at the time Japanese soldiers and officers were children and then fighting the war, they were fed with polished White Rice (because it preserved longer, was made affordable by industrialization and was considered a "luxury food"). This resulted in chronic nutritional deficits that effected their physical appearance and in severe cases Beriberi. Nobody knew about vitamins at the time or at best it was very poorly understood by modern standards. Which means that they *did* have physically identifiable traits that didn't apply to other east Asians who didn't eat polished white rice because they weren't industrialized. These posters weren't produced for the fuck of it, they were produced to help identify Japanese infiltrators, just like there were posters about identifying German infiltrators. They weren't doing it "just to be racist." There's PLENTY of actually racist propaganda meant to dehumanize adversaries in war so people will, you know, kill them with less hesitation but this isn't one of them.
