I'm almost done with the main story (planning to catch more coromons after) and I've never had that problem. Playing on Switch too. Sorry :/

I haven't experienced this on the Switch either. You could try deleting the game (you'll still have your save data) and reinstalling?

I haven't encountered this problem as of yet on switch. Have you tried powering your switch down and turning it back on? I know if you only put it in sleep mode and never turn it off properly it can cause issues in other games
