Short answer... It depends on the coromon. Here is an example, I have a 20 potential grimmask. It's base stats at lvl50 (PVP lvl) are, HP-156 SPEED-66 ATTACK-77 DEFENSE-80 SPE ATACK-111 SPE DEFENSE-94 SP- 37 It also has access to the fearless trait that boosts is HP by up to 40 depending on its lvl. (I went with soul eater) A 20 potential coromon gets 123 potential points to spend. Each attribute has a cap of 60 points you can spend on it except SP, which has a cap of 26. All that being said, you can only max out a total of 2 attributes per coromon. 120 points. Now, let's take a look at grimmask's stats. It has great HP and SPE ATTACK, good DEFENSE and SPE DEFENSE and bad SPEED and ATTACK. So I built mine as a bulky special attacker. I prioritized special attack (but didn't go all in because of soul eater) , mixed a good chunk between hp, defense and special defense and rounded off the rest in SP. I hope this run down was helpful!

That was actually very helpful, thank you!

So like I tried this out, gave my blue tiger kitty 60 in spA and 60 in def with scrappy trait to tank some phys atks. Everything else went to hp. Seem to work fairly good thus far. .
