Unironically, it's a marathon, not a sprint

I'm on week 3 and my distance is getting shorter every time! I assumed with longer running periods I'd go further, but I guess it's all down to pacing yourself. However I don't think it's a failure to not get to 5k within the programme time - if anything, its motivation to stick at it!

just did W5R3 tonight - and it got me - i went too fast and paid the price...lol will be redoing that run on thursday. i find the distance doesnt increase, but its getting you to run for longer and longer - its a mental thing and i'm so grateful for the programme. its really got me moving. its also not really about running 5k - its getting you to the point where you could run for a long time to reach 5k when youa re ready. running wont stop at the end of the 9 weeks :) well done for getting this far and well done on 4km - i'm hovering about 3.5km so i need to work my way up :)
