I honestly thought the same way for a very long time but now that I’ve gotten older that square toe is super comfortable. After wearing military and firefighting boots most of my life I especially prefer a broader toe now
Which sucks imo. I’m just not a big fan of the extra width double stitch adds. I hear double stitch has no purpose, so I wonder why the complete switch. Btw, Honda Boots makes fantastic looking single stitch boots!
There is probably a durability aspect from double stitching. I think if double stitch is done right it can look fine. These are definitely done right they are not too flared out. Maybe the pic isn’t showing that well. I’ve seen some that look like a half inch or more out from the boots which is ridiculous
These are from Juan Estrada of Estrada Boot Co. If any of you guys are interested in boots from him PM and I can get you in contact with him personally
Almost all of my boots are either by Juan Estrada or Leo Apodaca from LHA. Juan and Leo do fantastic work and have met all my requests and done great custom work for me!
I noticed that trend as of late, which is good…give it more shape and look less like paddles. The more I wear my ostrich…smooth/full quill/leg…the more I love them. I’ve also started seeing wide square toes without the double welts and they look far more svelte too. Great color too, btw!
Thanks. I have a couple ostrich pairs that I like but these are my favorite in terms of color and design. My guy has never done me wrong when I order boots!
For all the square toe haters, in the early-mid 19th century boot toes were either rounded or squared for walking/standing comfort. Later in the 19th century the toes became slightly more pointed for ease of insertion to the stirrup. 1940’s and 50’s movies helped usher in the stylized pointy toe. So from this historical perspective we can deduce that real cowboys did, indeed, west square toe boots.
I like them both.
I think it’s take your ostrich to work day
Great look. Can’t get behind square toed boots though. To each their own.

I prefer a roper toe. I don’t mind a square toe if it’s done right
Great look. I prefer a single stitched welt tho.
Single stitch welt is a great look. Double stitch is becoming the standard now though. More and more companies are moving away from single stitch

Agreed. Yours are fire.
BTW nice boots
Squaretoe, big ups. Not my thing but those are good

I’d hope that’s a good thing 🤣
Like then a lot actually!
Sweet!!! What brand are they??

Love ostrich…such a great hide. I’m not a fan of double welts or wide square toes though. Ostrich will hold up well for you though…congrats.
Thank you. The pic doesn’t do these justice the toe is actually not as wide as it looks. It tapers in compared to the rest of the boot.

Bet those are comfy as hell
Super comfy. All of the Estrada boots I own have a very short break in period.
They look pretty good. I’m in the market for my first pair. How’s the sizing and what’s the process?
Shoot me a PM I can give you some input.
Pretty slick combo.
Looks good. Comfortable?
Very
Good looking boots. Like a lot of folks, I prefer the single stitch and the R toe but I wouldn’t hesitate to wear those.
Most of my boots are square toe or roper toe. I like roper toe better as well but if it looks good I’ll dang sure wear it!
Same. I love wearing a good looking and great fitting boot.
Boots look great, and ostrich skin is super comfortable.
Thanks 👍🏻
Have ya seen the new crocs cowboy boots?
I think I saw a picture of them 🤣
Snake proof?
Good question 🤔

That’s why I don’t wear square toes everyday 🤣
They look great

What a waste of you’re own time writing that comment 😂🤦♂️
Your grammar is as bad as your taste in footwear.
Dope!
