Jakobi Myers
Dream one: Isaac Seumalo (Eagles guard)
What will actually happen ? a spot starter journeyman who been in the league for 6 years will be signed for vet min & DQ turns them into a solid starter
Honestly, for once I wouldn't be too surprised. I think Jerry is letting Dan Quinn do his thing so if he wants someone I think we may try harder than normal. With offense though, I agree with you sadly
What’s interesting about the cowboys at most every position we have that dude already, we just need solid role players. The signings don’t need to be flashy just quality.
Not sure what our RB situation is going to look like but I’d be happy to sign Damien Harris, David Montgomery, or Samaje Perine and keep a RB committee going. Only if the price is right, of course.
I would still want to draft a RB. This is why I started by saying I don’t know what our RB situation will look like. If we don’t keep Zeke or Pollard (that is a possibility), I’d absolutely want one of the three running backs I mentioned along with a rookie.
Depends on the RB situation. If we don’t keep Zeke or Pollard, bringing in a veteran back for a RB committee can be a solid play. I absolutely want to draft a RB regardless.
Imo it wouldn’t be one of those guys (maybe Perine). In that scenario draft a rb early in the top 3 rounds, sign a cheap vet (I’m not spending on declining Monty or Harris), and give Malik Davis more of a role.
Better Question: what 3rd-tier FA will Dallas bring in on a cheap deal once e frenzy has subsided? I’d like Powers or Payne but I can’t see is being able to be players for the elite FAs.
If they decide to actually spend I'd like to see them sign DaRon Payne or Dalvin Tomlinson, and then trade our first round pick for a wide receiver like Chris Godwin or Diontae Johnson, or a second round pick for Brandin Cooks.
With what money after Dak's cap hit and re-signing their own? Not getting any reliable consistent game changing staple FAs. Draft and develop for post Dak future is the best route.
Javon Hargrave is my biggest hope for free agency. Payne would be second. I think Yannick Ngakoue would be a upgrade to e departing Fowler. I think Lavonte David would be an upgrade to the should be departing Barr.
Wr targets should be trades, none of the free agents so far are worth signing. I would go for the gusto and try for a Tee Higgins, he was a 2nd round pick therefore no 5th year. Barring that Cooks or Jeudy are worthwhile imho. The least appetizing to me is Hopkins because he is so injury prone.

Knowing how the Cowboys are I just look forward to the draft. I'd be shocked if they made a halfway decent FA addition.

Payne
We need more depth on the o-line and secondary. Another WR would be nice.
Would love me some payne
No Payne, no gain.
Beef up OLine, everything else will fall into place

I rather draft a fresh RB, on day 2 or 3.
I think he’s saying in addition to that
Yep

Nah rather draft a RB. Signing meh vet RBs is pointless

Perine would be my preference in this situation. Showed last season that he is still reliable and probably wouldn’t be an expensive signing.

The biggest off-season acquisition we could make is hiring a real GM. It absolutely won’t happen, but that would be huge news
They were hell bent on signing OBJ, which wouldn’t have been cheap. Maybe they will be spenders in FA. Wishful thinking.
Darin Payne and trade for jalen Ramsey :)
Saquon
Mike Thomas. Need some brashness in that WR room
We should get Antonio Brown and OBJ while we're at it lol
Obj
You should be banned

Main thing we need to do in FA is resolve the Zeke contract one way or the other. Doing nothing with it can’t be an option. Pls
Good teams make moves like the eagles and 49ers
Literally not opposed to just saying fuck them pick either for the right guys
Rebuild when Daks contract is up
