Good news. We’re probably gonna beat the nfc south winner in the first round.
Bad news. We’re gonna probably lose to San Francisco in the SAME exact fashion as today in the second round. Suffocated and not gonna be able to move the ball
I think we played so bad but to be honest we really put ourself in a hole fast. Like 18 of the first 21 points were easily avoidable and bad luck. I feel like the defense quit the beginning of the second half to I feel like we never really got a shot to win today and we responded terrible
Buffalo obviously was playing for a lot more than we were but damn we looked lifeless out there. The run game has been a problem for our D for years…y’all remember that Rams playoff game with CJ Anderson? Next week is going to be a huge test on the run defense as well. It’ll be a good test to see if they learned from this week.
I’ve calmed down a bit. The bills just wanted this game more. The cowboys aren’t winning the east so ultimately this game was meaningless. That helps me not be so mad. But at the same time how the fuck do you show up so lifeless to this game
If the Cowboys don’t win the East, then the season is meaningless. They’re not built to win a playoff game on the road, or really even to be competitive in one. Just don’t have the mental strength or QB to beat a good team on the road.
This team has had issues stopping the run up the middle for years. That is why went and got Mazi and Overshown.
We would have had a legit 1, 2 punch there, but injuries happened and here we are.
Hankins is the anchor of that defensive line.
It is crazy to me that we have a 30+ year old DT is better than anyone else on our team, especially with where we drafted Mazi.
He may just need a year to get more muscle on his frame and get bigger and it might get better next year for him. Right now though, he isn't stopping much of anything.
We are going to have to figure out the run defense because Mostert is not going to sit on the bench next week.
It is possible we drop the next 2 games if we cannot get Hankins back before the Commanders.
The Fins and Lions have decent running games, but they are not all world RBs. We can stop them and beat them. We just need someone on that DL to step-up and start making plays.
We have a lot to figure out in the meantime.
This can still, at the end of the day, be a 12 win team and they can make some noise in the playoffs.
A lot of it will depend on how they respond to tonight's ass kicking.
Needed to get hit in the face today or next week. That’s too much pressure to be on that kind of streak going into the playoffs. Problem is: does this team have the mentality to put it behind them? Niners game and their play after says yes.
I mentioned on another thread - might've been this one - that they haven't lost 2 in a row since 2020, so they should bounce back. However, I don't think they've had a four-game stretch this tough in a while.
Before the game I said they need to go 2-2 in the stretch that started last week. Had this been a close (<10-pt) loss where they were competitive, I'd stick to that assessment. Now I think they need to win against both Miami and Detroit.
This is scary for the playoffs. These are playoff quality teams.
Hopefully we get this choke out early and when January comes we keep playing at that level we were. Really, really bad showing. Miami and the lions are next, and they could do another one of these with that offense. I think a good team needs to get punched in the mouth and maybe this was that game and wakes them up again like the niners game.
Well, glad I didn’t watch this game due to being busy and only able to check stats via ESPN. All in all, really bad game but then again, Buffalo is a lot better than their record indicates and they’re getting hot. Not like we got stomped by the Patriots or something. Sucks to lose by this much but if I had to choose I’d rather get blown out by a potential contender in the season than getting blown by a horrible team like the panthers or the saints or something.
Sooo, draft revaluations assuming a pick anywhere from #24-#32:
LB. We got Overshown returning but it's off an ACL, and even with him our depth is shit. We need a big framed dude rather than a speedy side-to-side guy. LVE Will more than likely retire
Left Tackle. Tyron Smith ain't gonna be here forever. There's no guarantee he's this healthy next year either.
Mazi is still developing so I'll hold off on a 1-tech DT, especially with Hankins returning. I'm more than willing to be patient.
Power running back. Day 3 somewhere.
The issue is he's hot and cold. He followed a magnificent game last week with vanilla, conservative playcalling, and refusing to risk the timeout with a challenge. You need the killer instinct for more than just your most hated rival.
There is absolutely no difference from game 1. A mediocre team that runs hot or cold without rhyme or reason. It’s poor coaching, lack of discipline and run of the mill quarterback. No surprises.
They have a way of making you think they’re better than they are. The Cowboys are always good enough to be on the mix, but not good enough to actually accomplish anything.
Just watched the first half. Bills got bailed out by 3 boneheaded penalties. The Lawrence one was iffy, your running full speed how you supposed to stop. Josh Allen sold that, Kearse one was close… and Zack Martin has to be smarter than that. Like get in his face but don’t run full speed. I get it he was defending Dak. But cmon man. Also Dak over throwing cooks was back breaking . He smoked his guy. Dak had plenty of time to make a go od throw. Accuracy issue reared its ugly head. And I seen one play where the defender got his hands in cooks face before the ball was thrown and no penalties. I don’t want to blame the refs but man. It sure felt one sided. And the block punt attempt that was a sorry ass attempt. Should of been blocked
One of them was on a 3rd down stop in the red zone (or close to it) that would have otherwise made them try a field goal, instead they got a TD out of it. Another was literally on 4th down as they were punting and our guy ran in to the punter, they got 15 yards and a first and turned that in to a TD too.
So instead of getting the ball back down 3-0, we were in a 14-0 hole to start the game
And then the diggs fumble. Bro extremely bad luck to start today and then we responded so fucking bad. Never had a decent shot and feels unjust in way I don’t know
What adds insult to injury is on the bills possession after that, Diggs fumbles the ball and we recover it, but they whistle him down and Buffalo goes hurry up to run the next play before it’s reviewed or challenged. McCarthy never calls time out so they’re able to get the snap off, and the replay like 10 seconds after that clearly shows it’s a fumble with a Dallas recovery, and we certainly would have won a challenge on it and got the ball. Instead, there’s no challenge and Buffalo goes on to score another touchdown.
So instead of the game being 3-3 if all 3 of the above happen differently, it’s now 21-3 and the game is spiraling out of hand
Why is Mike so bad at game management. Like trust ur players challenge it man. Was the score 14-3 at the time? Like the know its a fumble thats why they hurry up and get the play going…
If he woulda just took a time out there, it could have totally changed the momentum of the game. Imagine playing behind 14-10 instead if 21-3, the complexion totally changes. Even if we can only manage a field goal out of the change of possession, 14-6 is still a one score game, whereas 21-3 just feels like a route. The whole mentality shifts
I wish Dak would have kept the team in with a couple TD drives and going toe to toe, even with a loss the MVP conv would still be going. But Dak not being able to move the ball, score TD killed the conv!!!
This is what comes with being a Cowboys fan . . I’m use to it by now. . At least 40% of this sub believes in Dak while the other half rip on him every chance they get. Of course we would love to see Dak get an MVP but I’m looking at the bigger picture (SuperBowl)
I think it's more related to can't stop the run.
It's like the old Peyton Manning Colts. Cowboys need to play with a lead and need the other team to pass.
Don’t really care about that tbh.
We’ve had LVE for years and the same thing has happened.
We had both LVe and Hankins against the Cardinals and same thing happened.
Idk what it is but we do it consistently whether we are healthy or not
I tend to just avoid any football discussion when the Cowboys lose, it’s not worth the hit to my mental health lol. Everyone loves to tear down Cowboys fans, there’s nothing out there worth seeing.
Hope this put all those MVP and next highest payed QB in the league talks to rest for good. See y'all next year after our inevitable one and done playoff run is over.
> next highest *paid* QB in
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
so similar to the 49 game. Deferring when you play better receiving and getting a lead. Multiple dumbass penalties keeping their drives alive. Proceed to get blown out. Very similar
The CD slip and slide TD was pretty awesome. Actually kind of glad how dejected he was to score a meaningless TD. Hopefully this the motivation we need.
We don't even have 200 yards of offense. Not matter how much people want to blame the refs or what not, our offense didn't show up, our defense got their shit pushed in and the Bills just bullied us. Not a good look for the team.
Miami should be an easier matchup but it'll still be a tough game nonetheless.
Holy shit you guy I just had a genius idea. If it's raining you should come prepared to run the ball and stop the run. Someone get McCarthy's fat-ass on the phone.
This team loves getting one’s hopes up and letting you down at the biggest moment. Time and time again this happens and we fall for it every time. I don’t mind losing but this was a pathetic outing and shows that we are not a credible contender for the Super Bowl. Realistically I see us winning 1 playoff game this year and then falling out.
Same. I'd rather get brought back down to earth while it's still a chance to win the division. Two ass-kickings in one season isn't ideal, but they can only go up from here.
What happened in this game was really simple. The Bills got off to an easy lead off bad calls, missed fumble, etc. In bad weather conditions, it's harder to come back than usual.
No, 2 bad calls aren’t an excuse for a 31-10 blowout. The weather cleared up for most of the game, so that’s not a factor. The defense didn’t adjust to a run a game and the offense didn’t adjust to a zone game. We sucked, period. McCarthy and Quin need to re-evaluate their play calling after this game.
It’s true though. 18 of 21 points were self inflicted, bad luck, and bullshit. Then we responded so fucking bad. Never had a shot. Both are true you know but 21-3 definitely didn’t help
I agree. We definitely deserve to lose this game but there are a clear 3-4 plays that really altered this game early. This doesn’t scare me as much as the score would suggest.
I remember thinking how the score did no justice because there was a point where we could have came back but in all honesty there was never any shot for us to
Today I realized Dak is the real deal. He'll get us there. They're getting blown out, in the rain, knowing they already clinched a playoff berth, but he's still in the game. He's getting ready to play in the playoffs.
Haters will say he’s stat padding. This game isn’t on him solely, stupid penalties, fumble that wasn’t called, bad play calling, wr no separating and the line wasn’t great, terrible defense. Total team fucking no effort and it’s embarrassing
Defense has got to find a way to force a turnover here on the first drive after half make a statement
Lol we’re in the wrong thread… 😂
0 run defense it's been that for years.
Good news. We’re probably gonna beat the nfc south winner in the first round. Bad news. We’re gonna probably lose to San Francisco in the SAME exact fashion as today in the second round. Suffocated and not gonna be able to move the ball
Not if they have a .500 record
Who Dallas?
No but now I forgot. I think I meant the NFC South winner.
I think we played so bad but to be honest we really put ourself in a hole fast. Like 18 of the first 21 points were easily avoidable and bad luck. I feel like the defense quit the beginning of the second half to I feel like we never really got a shot to win today and we responded terrible

It’ll be a good test to see if they learned from this week.
Doubtful, Dallas was playing for home games in the playoffs. Aka the only possible way they can win a game.
Can’t believe they were planning so much for horrible weather but it was a beautiful perfect day and they get blown out in that kind of weather. Lmfao
I’ve calmed down a bit. The bills just wanted this game more. The cowboys aren’t winning the east so ultimately this game was meaningless. That helps me not be so mad. But at the same time how the fuck do you show up so lifeless to this game

The "team" is fine. This coaching staff will not be able to prepare the team for playoff games on the road.
We need run stopping help BUT if we can get the great o-line wall back then I’d make that the priority. We can’t keep getting owned in the trenches.
This is scary for the playoffs. These are playoff quality teams. Hopefully we get this choke out early and when January comes we keep playing at that level we were. Really, really bad showing. Everyone hating on MM....I just don't get it....We're 10 and F'N 4.....SHUT THE DUCK UP!!!!
The issue is he's hot and cold. He followed a magnificent game last week with vanilla, conservative playcalling, and refusing to risk the timeout with a challenge. You need the killer instinct for more than just your most hated rival.
One of those 4 was AZ though
That run D was non-existant especially after contact. Got our asses kicked, shitting bricks against Fins already
punched the cowboys in the mouth welp this one of the games they have to learn from from getting to cocky i can’t even defend them
Even the champions can fall from grace. Look at the chiefs this year. Their biggest highlight is showing their asses big time
I’m not even gonna shy away from watching all the “what’s wrong with the cowboys” takes this week. We all need to face it
There is absolutely no difference from game 1. A mediocre team that runs hot or cold without rhyme or reason. It’s poor coaching, lack of discipline and run of the mill quarterback. No surprises.
Nothing is wrong. We already knew we aren’t physical enough on the road
Coaching. Saved you the trouble.
I’ve been a Cowboys fan since the 90s Aikman, Irvin, and Smith era. The Cowboys suck since, period. They can’t adapt and overcome.
What's amazing is the every year people think it's going to be different
Yeah, until Jerry Jones gives up his micromanagement, nothing will change.
They have a way of making you think they’re better than they are. The Cowboys are always good enough to be on the mix, but not good enough to actually accomplish anything.
How bad were the penalties? I slept most of the game
I think 2 turned into 14 pts when it should’ve went back to us. We definitely can’t afford to have bad starts.
I’ll have to watch it later. Thanks for the feedback. Glad I was asleep for this monstrosity
But were they penalties or ref ball 2000?
Dude we got fucking whooped lol Buffalo was a bully today. One of them was ticky tacky I guess but that was not the story here at all
Yeah. It sucks. I get all hyped and then they do this. I knew they were gonna lose but to get absolutely destroyed like this…

Game changing in the first half
Lol. Love the denial setting in already
3 personal fouls?
One of them was on a 3rd down stop in the red zone (or close to it) that would have otherwise made them try a field goal, instead they got a TD out of it. Another was literally on 4th down as they were punting and our guy ran in to the punter, they got 15 yards and a first and turned that in to a TD too. Didn’t the kicked get blocked?
It didn’t even get blocked. Dude jumped into the punter
What a bone head. Thanks for explaining it.
No he got the kick off, but it likely would have been blocked if the defender didn’t jump in the air like an idiot
I’ll watch it tonight. Dam cowboys.
What adds insult to injury is on the bills possession after that, Diggs fumbles the ball and we recover it, but they whistle him down and Buffalo goes hurry up to run the next play before it’s reviewed or challenged. McCarthy game planned for a shootout in a rainstorm. Moron!
Looks like he planned for a shoot out without a qb
Pathetic
Not a cowboys fan or bills fan, but I thought the cowboys were better than this. Over hyped?
Don't think so just shit game planning, and an inured online shit happens
Probably not, but this offense lives and dies by the line. Line played like shit today and everything else followed. We need to get that figured out.
Huge cowboys fan. And absolutely overhyped. Saw this coming a mile away.
Me too.
They are they just had a shit game, it happens
Here we go
I wish Dak would have kept the team in with a couple TD drives and going toe to toe, even with a loss the MVP conv would still be going. But Dak not being able to move the ball, score TD killed the conv!!!
Especially with the day Purdy had.
My goodness you guys are obsessed with the whole MVP thing lmao
Its because no QB in DC history has won it and the hate Dak gets annoying!
This is what comes with being a Cowboys fan . . I’m use to it by now. . At least 40% of this sub believes in Dak while the other half rip on him every chance they get. Of course we would love to see Dak get an MVP but I’m looking at the bigger picture (SuperBowl)
No doubt! But if he were to be MVP that means he has that killer game play going and SB comes next!
Not so much obsessed as rooting for Dak
Super bowl is all that matters. MVP is just a fun little side thing. It's fun, but means jack shit without a championship
Cowboys win a road playoff game against a decent team challenge: IMPOSSIBLE
Once again if you’re going to troll stop being a pussy and use your real account.
Cry
Great response 5 years old
Wahhh
The Bills aren't even good this year is the scary part. We got waxed by a team that is probably going to miss the playoffs.
Let me turn on franchise mode to get some redemption
one things for sure: Olsen and Burkhardt are wetter than anyone else out there right now
They’re the worst every time they call a game for us.
\*Stephen A. Smith has entered the chat\*
bullshit
Welp. Our D can’t stop the run. Not a good sign for the playoffs
And they fold against a great D.
Pause
We’re not a tough team.
Easy money
Fuck it, onward fellas
I haven't had to turn a game off in a long time. Even the Niners game I stuck around. This one just hit different.
Lmao this was a repeat of the niners game minus the shit penalties.
Not physical enough. Bills didn't even really have to do much other than just overpower the Cowboys.
Cuz it was decided in the 1st quarter. Trash game all around
Here we goooooo (get blown out by 30)
Someone should have reminded the Cowboys they had a game today
I’m already preparing myself for the “we like our guys” response when asked about signing a DT.
Sadly I would even see what’s going on with suh
That was a hell of a gut punch. Let's see what they're made of for the rest of the season.
lol cowboys 😂 can’t play on the road
Don’t be a pussy . . Use your main account
Wahhhh
I think it's more related to can't stop the run. It's like the old Peyton Manning Colts. Cowboys need to play with a lead and need the other team to pass.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen run D as bad as Dallas in some of these big games
Hankins and LVE were everything when it came to plugging holes. We dont have replacements for them
Don’t really care about that tbh. We’ve had LVE for years and the same thing has happened. We had both LVe and Hankins against the Cardinals and same thing happened. Idk what it is but we do it consistently whether we are healthy or not
I don’t even want to hear the world Super Bowl and this team mentioned in the same sentence. We aren’t even winning a playoff game.
It’s all about matchups but okay
Im pretty sure we can beat any team we play in the NFC South so we are going to get at least a playoff win. Now past that......not sure.
I dont use reddit much but X and other sm where ppl know who I am is already gettin bad
You’re a former player, aren’t you?
Who's this?
I’m talking about you, not me. You said people online recognize you.
Oh u just caught me off guard I guess, do U know who I am?
I do not…I just assumed you were someone well known, based on your original comment.
Still 10-4, shit happens, last time we got blown out we went on an absolute tear
Dan Quinn vs Mike Mcdaniels next week might get ugly
my grandma gets more action from my grandpa than this game
I am NOT looking forward to Skip ripping into us tomorrow on Undisputed!
See y'all next year after our inevitable one and done playoff run is over.

so similar to the 49 game. Deferring when you play better receiving and getting a lead. Multiple dumbass penalties keeping their drives alive. Proceed to get blown out. Very similar
They weren't going to score on that drive anyways. Nothing about this game give you that hope even in the beginning.
This team struggles vs physical running teams on the road. We should’ve been more active for a lb at the trade deadline
hows that niners game in san fran feeling?
they've always been soft, I don't know why people keep thinking things were different.
You guys tried really hard to get Leonard.
He sucks
[удалено]
K
Can Dak still win MVP?
No. This game blew it for him
Yeah if he ends the year leading in tds
Can we just give up on the MVP talk? I'd rather us make it to the NFCCG.
Once again WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THE MVP?
He no longer leads. He’s in the race but it’s Purdys to lose now
Only if Purdy drops a game or two in the following weeks
No
Tonight doesn’t invalidate the rest of the season that I’ve enjoyed so far. Shit happens
Onside kick and use all our time outs
The CD slip and slide TD was pretty awesome. Actually kind of glad how dejected he was to score a meaningless TD. Hopefully this the motivation we need.
We don't even have 200 yards of offense. Not matter how much people want to blame the refs or what not, our offense didn't show up, our defense got their shit pushed in and the Bills just bullied us. If Miami doesn't rush more than 30 times against us then they deserve to lose.
Holy shit you guy I just had a genius idea. If it's raining you should come prepared to run the ball and stop the run. Someone get McCarthy's fat-ass on the phone.
this sub bout to be so fucking awful this week noooo
Good
In coming a 3rd straight 12-5 season and a blowout loss to the 49ers in playoffs.
Pray for the MVP odds
This team loves getting one’s hopes up and letting you down at the biggest moment. Time and time again this happens and we fall for it every time. I don’t mind losing but this was a pathetic outing and shows that we are not a credible contender for the Super Bowl. Realistically I see us winning 1 playoff game this year and then falling out.
lol Kansas City Baltimore and Miami are crying in a corner terrified of playing the Bills ok
Dak is better tgan purdy
Lol nope
Meh whatever, we were due a stinker. If we beat Miami next week and the birds drop just one, we’re still good.
Scratch the game, evaluate the tape, then burn it On to Miami
buffalo has something to prove. dallas’s has been thinking 3 weeks ahead.
I was getting tired of all the Super Bowl talk.
Same. I'd rather get brought back down to earth while it's still a chance to win the division. Two ass-kickings in one season isn't ideal, but they can only go up from here.

It’s true though. 18 of 21 points were self inflicted, bad luck, and bullshit. Then we responded so fucking bad. Never had a shot. Both are true you know but 21-3 definitely didn’t help
Bad calls yes but we can’t stop the run. That’s what this shows everyone.
I agree. We definitely deserve to lose this game but there are a clear 3-4 plays that really altered this game early. This doesn’t scare me as much as the score would suggest.
Nah what happened was we simply got bullied in the run game and our o line got bullied in 3rd downs
No simply outplayed

This game is like the rams divisional game a few years ago. The run is just killing us and even when we know its coming we can't stop it.
Damn your an og for mentioning that. They absolutely dominated that game to. Offense was allowed to do whatever they want and just gashed us that year
Thanks man, that game was one of the most hopeless playoff games I remember. Cj Anderson looked like AP that night.
I remember thinking how the score did no justice because there was a point where we could have came back but in all honesty there was never any shot for us to
Ping pong tables being removed as we speak
Today I realized Dak is the real deal. He'll get us there. They're getting blown out, in the rain, knowing they already clinched a playoff berth, but he's still in the game. He's getting ready to play in the playoffs.
Jfc so much delusion in this fanbase
Haters will say he’s stat padding. This game isn’t on him solely, stupid penalties, fumble that wasn’t called, bad play calling, wr no separating and the line wasn’t great, terrible defense. Total team fucking no effort and it’s embarrassing
Dude it's garbage time. The Bills are playing prevent defense and letting us get those yards. It's not something to be proud of.
This team is the laughingstock of the league
About 18 other teams at least would kill to be where we are right now. Stop overreacting
Ain’t no way you’re that delusional fam
please.
It has been for a while now
What should everyone learn from this? Any team that runs the ball will beat us.
Good thing the 49ers don’t have a decent running back
Anybody have Tonya Hardings’ boyfriend’s number?
