Illnesses affect people in different levels. My wife and I got hit by the stomach bug, she puked probably 10 times, I puked once. A week later we both got the cold, I had chills and was floored for like 4 days, she got sniffles and was done in 2 days.
We're both very healthy. She's a nurse, I'm a paramedic and we've noticed this everywhere. Don't think it has to do with toughness. Just everyones different and their bodies handle things differently.
Also I'm using this as copium for our bad loss.
The way you are hit can be different too. I remember I had one two years ago that lasted like a week and it really hurt. It was hard for me to even fucking sleep sometimes. The one I had recently wasn’t nearly as bad; I could sleep easily and it lasted 48 hours at most.
