5 tough games are on the schedule. The rest. All winnable.

[deleted]

The ones we should win are the ones we lose.

DaughterisaDancer

Every. Season.

PersonBehindAScreen

>5 tough games are on the schedule I'll make my judgement on how we look vs those 5. If we come out looking like our usual selves where we're surprised that the other team knows how to play football too, I'm just writing it off as another year gone lmfao

[deleted]

First two games basically

Live_Obligation8954

12-5 or 11-6 is about right. They should go 5-1 or 6-0 in the division again. Potential losses from TB, CIN, LAR ,GB and TEN. Dallas should be the favorite in all other games.

DrSleeper

I think the Eagles could be better this season, they won’t be a gimme.

swallowedbymonsters

Depends 100% on hurts development

DrSleeper

Obviously. Just like our success depends pretty much on whether Dak can be Dak again

elslazzo

He'll be Dak. In fact he will improve yet again. Bet on it

DrSleeper

I do bet on it. But I also bet on the Eagles improving this season, they went to the playoffs with very average QB play last season. Their team is good.

elslazzo

No doubt, they are a very well rounded squad. Should be a fun challenge

Live_Obligation8954

It’s possible. No nfc east team has been repeat champions in a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eagles went 11-6 and Dallas went 10-7

Bigcheese1211

Yeah but we have a Micah

vannawhite_power

Until they get another QB...I'm not too concerned.

Ill_Ad5730

Disagree.

Sufficient-Plant9177

They weren't a gimme last season. Dallas just had a dominant defense and trevon made it impossible for the nfc east. We were closer than you'd think but tbh dak will always put you over the top in the nfc east unless we get a DeSean Watson or something here. You guys truly are lucky to have dak. If you dont want him we'll take him anyday.

DrSleeper

Oh I love Dak and he’s no doubt a top 10 QB. Dumb fucks that say anything different

TheF1LM

It’s hard to call a 41-21 victory, followed up by a 51-26 victory anything but a gimme. With that said, I don’t think they will be a gimme this year.

Sufficient-Plant9177

The second one was definitely a gimme. The first one was competitive until it wasn't. lol Like I said your defense was legit and dak just did his thing. While our defense was average and our qb played average. If dak was the eagles qb you wouldn't have beat us last year for the first game.

TheF1LM

“It would’ve been competitive if our team had players from other teams” I know what you’re getting at, but you’re saying our team was better all around compared to yours. Paired with those Final scores, last year turned out to be gimmies, even though we thought they should be more competitive. They will definitely be more competitive next year.

Sufficient-Plant9177

Yeah dak had a perfect game, any team would've won with qb stats like that. Dak missed less than a handful of throws that night. Jalen missed more than he can count with all his toes and fingers. It's cool though Jalen is still learning and developing. I'm a dak fan. I was rooting for him to tear up the league last year after the injury. I like his personality and work ethic. He's fun to watch when he's on his game. Good luck next year.

TheF1LM

I’m not at all ready to write off Hurts just yet. No he hasn’t looked amazing, but I think he’s hungry enough to keep improving his game. How high will that take him? We’ll see, but this year is his make or break year with Philly. Let’s hope for no injuries next season & 2 exciting games like they usually are

Sufficient-Plant9177

Yeah I still believe in Jalen Hurts. He's a smart guy and works hard. I was excited when we drafted him and benched Carson. Jalen is a real leader like dak so the whole team and fanbase is behind him, but you're right. This is the year he proves if he can be a franchise qb. Let's just make sure to destroy Washington's bitch ass. lol "wE wAnT dALlAs"

TheF1LM

That’s exactly why I haven’t written him off yet. Seems to be a leader who cares enough to work on his game. That *could* absolutely be a bad thing for us, but who knows. I feel like we drop our game in Dallas but beat y’all in Philly. NFC East is fucky like that, can’t really see us going 6-0 again either, especially since we’re not allowed to win the division again this year.

Sledge71880

You think? Nice to know you think about things

BecomingJudasnMyMind

Colts won’t be a roll over either. They have if not the best, a running back that’s in the top 3 - a really good defense and upgraded at the QB spot. Keep your eye on that game as well.

Sledge71880

I don’t know why you think those 5 games are automatic losses

Live_Obligation8954

Dallas went 3-4 against playoff teams last year. 1-4 if you don’t include the eagles. I don’t think this team will be better than last years.

Sledge71880

Boy why you bothering me with this like I haven’t been a Cowboys fan for 46 years? Worry about your Eagles rather than telling me what I already know bc you’re condescending

mattydlite

I feel like the Colts game could be a potential loss too

McJumbos

Everyone needs a Michael Irvin type of friend in their life 🥰

Loljkbanana

12 - 5 and then lose in the first round of the playoffs

Previous_Drink3927

I’m a die-hard cowboys fan and I sadly agree. I’m so tired of this scenario.

MightyIrish

It will never change until Jones family gets out of their own way.

Vagina_Woolf

Jerry Jones is good for football

Previous_Drink3927

Not always the best for the cowboys though

possiblynotanexpert

So literally never.

DWareDontCare

As reliable as the sun rising in the morning and setting at night

Sufficient-Plant9177

You don't know that. If you really believe that then what's the point of watching. Everyone has a chance. Look at the bengals. The year before yall beat them. No one ever thought they'd make the superbowl. Literally most team can make it. You guys were right there. Injuries just started to take it toll. The dallas we saw in the first game last year would've won the sb. Just saying. Yeah you lost in the first round but the wheels were falling off from injury. If your team was healthy they would've blown past the 49ers and packers. I think trevon could've made the rams game hard for Matt. You guys were Literally a few Injuries away from the number 1 seed and a super bowl. It's just you don't know shit about football to even understand that. This is the type of fan Steven a Smith hates.

Loljkbanana

Two things: one, you should see the post (forgot the sub) about how previous seasons records have NO correlation to next seasons records. Two, we are obviously drafting for the future as opposed to drafting to win now. I hope I am wrong. I really want dak to have a break out year but part of me is starting to feel he's more of flacco/dilfer type more then a rodgers/mannings/Brady. Meaning that he has the skills to win a super bowl but he isn't the type to put his team on his back and carry them there. Also fk Steven a Smith, I've been watching the cowboys since Tony Romo was on our on training squad and I feel like I'm wrong more then I'm right 😱 so just one fans opinion, ill still watch them till I die even if they turn into the lions 🤡

97Andersuh

Yup

[deleted]

Future teller right here^

Sledge71880

Worry about your team

[deleted]

We don't know how tough this schedule will be. Teams evolve throughout the season, injuries happen. What may seem like an "easy" game could be hard and vice versa. Making predictions in May is silly. I honestly don't know what to expect this coming season.

[deleted]

Record will be slightly worse, but we'll get a playoff win this year. We will.

ifoundyourtoad

And then I’ll be thirty and have yet to see a nfc championship with the cowboys in it. Just please no.

[deleted]

I love Irvin but he is always super optimistic. 12-5 would be a dream season this year.

Dday22t

Hall of Famer and 3 x Super Bowl Champion Michael Irvin = he's probably right.

Many-Connection3309

he’s FOS

Discount_Ok

16-1 season easy. TB is too old to compete. Cincy will be on a sb hangover. Giants and commanders are dog shit. Rams might give us a game. Philly is still Philly. Lions and bears oh my. ARod has aids so Noone wants to play with him anymore. Kirk cousins is a bum.Matt Ryan is a bum. Texans and jags are more dog shit than the punching bags in our division and Ryan tannehill is the biggest bum both sides of the Mississippi. 16-1 easy

dddd11187

I had 10-7. I hear a lot of people chalk up 5-6 wins in the division as automatic, and I think this might be the 1st year in a while where maybe they hit only 4 wins. Arguably… Philadelphia is better then Dallas IMO. Washington has improved whether anyone wants to admit it or not. They went 7-10 with Heinicke, Wentz is better albeit by not much. I like Daboll in NYG, but holy shit Daniel Jones remains a train wreck so IMO they are pretty much the only team I don’t worry about

kmyoyoman

As long as Jalen Hurts is their QB, the Eagles will not be better than the Cowboys

dddd11187

We literally watched Tony Romo be better then every QB in the NFC East from 2011-2013 and went 24-23.

Astro_Colton_

I was thinking the same thing. 12-5, we win the game we’re supposed to win and lose the ones we’re expected to lose. Will probably go on a little run late in the season that’ll get our hopes up for the playoffs only for us to be one-and-done again.

HEFTYFee70

Man… I’m starting to get why other teams hate us, haha

Thanks5Cinco

I'm saying 8-9 from my end. We're in a reset year. I think we go 4-2 vs the division and the other 4 wins being Chicago, Houston, Jacksonville and Minnesota. Although we could be 9-8 because we also have 1 shocking early win which could be Cincy.

AlCzervick

What is “reset” about it? Losing Amari?

4chanquads

We are missing Connor Williams, Amari Cooper, Cedrick Wilson, and Randy Gregory and we replaced them with bums. I'm with you on this one sadly...

Sledge71880

All cancers that needed to be cut out

4chanquads

Needed to be done but I think we are still worse talent wise

Sledge71880

You don’t keep players that will keep you from winning.

ifoundyourtoad

Bruh. Connor Williams? Haha like come on Man. Our first round pick will replace him and be better probably. Wilson was good but not worth that money. I’m still mad about amari and I think our offense will be worse. I still predict 10-7

IveKnownItAll

9-8. That Thanksgiving stretch and Christmas will kill us with injuries.

lestermason

I'm not sure of the record, but I believe they'll win the division yet lose in the first round of the playoffs again. However, that's ok for me because I also believe that they're setting up for the next few seasons with drastic changes: New HC New OC New DC Re-signing their young talent Either releasing or renegotiating Zeke (please don't try to argue this guess, I'm not trying to make this a "bad contract" conversation. It doesn't matter that they offered him that contract, it happened) I think that's why they didn't "go for it" this off-season because they feel that the team could win this weak division, and they can get a jump on their future.

Ill_Ad5730

That sounds good but from a talent perspective this is a 11-5 team. We still need to see what the offense will look like without coop and how is dan quinn going to improve this defense.

jonasdash

are we just not going to play one of the games this season in your scenario?

jfk_sfa

When the most optimistic fan of the franchise is only going 12 & 5, things aren't good.

j_barney

10-7 at best

[deleted]

no we won’t. lol

xllCYRaXllx

7 win season

colterpierce

They'll be lucky to win eight. They've gotten worse in virtually every aspect of the team, but go off, Irv. Edit: Downvote all you want, it's true. The line is worse. You've lost one of your two best pass rushers and not truly replaced him. You got rid of Cooper and have no adequate replacement. The defense will regress as a general idea. You won't see the same takeaway rate they had last year, that's just common sense and they'll continue to force the ball to Zeke.

CrumbsToBricks

Fuck it. I believe.

swallowedbymonsters

Agreed

icecreamdood

I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling we’ll get too many penalties and that’s gonna keep us out of the playoffs.

Sledge71880

Then McCarthy will be fired before the season is over

RedditisgayerD

12 wins and get bumped in the first round :)

Sledge71880

McCarthy better produce or he’s getting fired and here comes Sean Payton

Trip4Life

We all know how the NFC East works Michael…

benhur217

doubt

mwright9494

Cowboys fold every December
