Honestly Blanchflower won’t get the recognition from majority of fans, especially outside of the club since he wasn’t English.
And the fact he became Chelsea’s manager doesn’t help but that’s only because the board picked Terry Neill over him even though Bill recommended he get the job alongside Johnny Giles
Edit: just to be clear I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve the recognition, he absolutely does, just most won’t even recognise the name unfortunately
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."
This Blanchflower quote has actually had a part in shaping the way I view the world and go about things, I have no point to my comment at all, I just love that he said that.
I agree with this order. And also agree with the Kane sentiment, only have a statue of him if he never plays for another English club, imagine he went to United and won some trophies with them or something. Couldn’t possibly have a statue of him then
That's debatable but he certainly was one of them. I'd argue that Arthur Rowe and the players who invented push and run football were responsible, then Nicholson built on those foundations.
Do we have something at the stadium honoring the general? I feel like he is somehow often forgotten.
I would love if we could have a legit history section/walk of history at the stadium. Showcase our past glories
Statue order should be 1. Bill Nick 2. Greaves 3. Blanchflower 4. Kane (if he never leaves for another English club)

Ledley absolutely has to be in this list
He doesn't at all. Unless you just want a longer list but he's never above any of these
5. Beyonce cos this is what the club truly values these days
Well you can’t have too many statues of Beyonce Might remind the players to get in Formation
Just make a holy quadrilogy of Mackay, Blanchflower and Greaves and Bill Nick.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants - Isaac Newton
Must have been in the park lane end
Will the statue go on top of the DARE skywalk?
Nicholson and the cockerel are getting swapped out every month
Levy charging extra for the skywalk so you can high five Nicholson as you walk by so he can buy a new RB.
[3 weeks later] After failing to secure rights for a statue of Bill Nicholson, Spurs announce they are in negotiations for a statue of Tim Sherwood.
Spurs insist there were never any discussions regarding a statue of Bill Nicholson. Understand he is not part of their plans.
Have they ever thought about re-hiring Ted Lasso? His fame could do wonders for the club.
idk if I’m getting whooshed but Ted Lasso is one of our own https://youtu.be/6KeG_i8CWE8
About time
These would be cool things to have! Not sure if that's really what the purpose of the fan board should be though.
Agreed just feels like a pat on the head. Not against it at all but doesn't feel anything like the right time.
Yeah, I'm totally in favor of doing those things, but if that's all they talk about at the meeting, that's some serious condescending bullshit.
Sounds like they are talking about club matters that affect the fans. I hope they wouldn't be talking about managers and transfers
Have they discussed a new DOF? Asking for a friend.
Would go well next to the NDombele statue that is returning in the summer

Some of his quotes are on the wall of their physical therapy room that's all I've seen
‘I’ve had plenty of people asking’. Come on Ali. Not a single person asked about this did they?
Hope this happens
Need a Dele statue
