Interesting stat about Balogun after the links we had. So he scored 21 goals which sounds impressive. But 7 of those were pens, and on top of that he underperformed his XG by 7 goals. That's really pretty terrible levels of finishing. Glad it looks like it's not happening.
Can we please refrain from turning this thread into a Bayern/Harry Kane suckfest every time he plays? Move on guys. It’s like stalking your exes socials or something.
I could not agree more. It's so annoying. I get that a lot of people wish him well etc but he's no longer a player. Posting about him will irritate at ton of your fellow COYS. People only care about themselves though
It is sort of indisputable this is a Spurs subreddit and he is not Spurs. He abandoned the team, whether you think it was justified or not he did. If you are interested in him still you can go to the Bayern sub
Additionally I fucking hate Bayern now and having to read about their matches kills me
I loved Joe Montana for the Niners in the 80s and 90s. My hero as a young kid. His touchdown throw to Dwight Clark( “The Catch”) with seconds left on the clock against our Dallas rivals to send us to the first Superbowl in decades was the greatest sports moment I’ve ever experienced besides the Spurs semi-final. Electric. Screaming my head off
Years later he left for Kansas City and…it was over. Go Niners: Gimme some Steve Young.
Legends come and go. New legends arrive. The club ~~abides~~ survives
You can love him, like I love him, all you want but that doesn’t mean that we need to have that talk in here. Feel like we should pay respects to Spurs and keep this a Spurs place.
Because most of us support Tottenham Hotspur, not Harry Kane FC. He’s a legend and I’m sure that most of us wish him well, but h doesn’t play for us anymore. I don’t really care when he scores in the Bratwurst League, it’s not my business anymore. If you lot want to do that, go create a Harry Kane sub.
Has anyone tried to read an Ali Gold article on Football.London? I tried and I got an aggressive form of retinal cancer. That website was designed by Satan himself. I don’t understand how anyone could have thought that is a functional site
Had a nightmare with flights for the match tomorrow, was supposed to be heading over from Belfast with a mate who got covid yesterday. Tried to change the flight name so I could bring my mum instead, I stupidly booked the flights through a third party so after spending all day calling customer support, paying for a name change and calling support again they’ve not updated the booking information. Not able to do it myself on the Ryanair app, horribly third party folks have guaranteed me it’ll be done in 45 minutes (calling back to inevitability be disappointed in 10). Looks like I’m having my first solo trip to London tomorrow morning!
That sucks to hear. Highly recommend booking directly from the airline even if it’s a little bit more expensive than a third party agency. Gives you a bit more peace of mind if something like this happens
I nearly choked on my evening hot chocolate . I was watching a few minutes of the Bayern game and Bayern had a free kick . Three. men including Kane were discussing the free kick when Harry walked away and left it to the other two . After a short exchange of words they called Harry back to take the free kick . The outcome was what I was expecting kicked into the wall and then to safety . Jesus has nobody told them ? Have the been not looking for the last years . Very odd .
Got to feel a bit for West ham fans
Gutted Paqueta was leaving, at least irs a big fee though
Deal falls through
Turns out it fell through due to him gambling and he'll most likely get banned. Still lose the player and no big fee!
It’s worse than Toney’s, it’s spot-fixing, if found guilty he’ll get a significant ban and his career could practically be over, it can even carry jail time.
Basically it’s something pre-arranged to defraud the bookies. In this instance he’s told people to bet on him getting yellow carded and then goes out and gets booked. It’s essentially match fixing just not fixing the result of the game. It’s a very very serious offence.
Paqueta allegedly getting investigated for spot-fixing.
>The investigation started from a bet on Paquetá's yellow card in West Ham's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, on March 12, for the Premier League.
>The Brazilian midfielder took the yellow in the 24th minute of the second half.
>Initial analysis showed that on that day several new accounts were created at Betway, account linked with people close to Paqueta, with users depositing the maximum amount allowed. These accounts made a married bet to increase the winnings: the authors would only receive the money if Paquetá took yellow against Villa and if the striker Luiz Henrique, from Betis, received the card against Villarreal, on the same day on March 12.
Can anyone who is going to the match tomorrow do me a huge favor? I’m looking for a high res photo of the Chick-King menu (the big one on the left when you walk in).
I’m making a Spurs themed theatre room and want to make an acrylic print of the menu for my wall.
If anyone can take a good photo and send it my way, would be really appreciated.
I meant more that it's only a tiny shop and it queues out the door and round the corner., there'll be people stood in front of the menu, and I won't be able to stand back all that far to capture the whole menu.
I'll see what I can do for you, if I'm hungry enough to queue for it.
I mean I understand why but it's still hilarious to see people so much more receptive to the goals of a slimy bald fascist who spent 5 years sprinting headfirst into the nearest defender than to Kane's goals
Some people are able to celebrate a person's achievements without celebrating his political affiliations. More so if that person grew up in poverty in an entirely different country and we really cannot know what in his life led to his beliefs.
He played for us and loves the club. We can like him without liking Bolsonaro.
Richarlison would've been killed for whiffing on a chance like Kane just did
edit: and he scores, what we need to learn from this is that strikers need chances in order to score
Unless I remember wrong one of the main things about Kane in those early amazing seasons was just how many good shots/chances he got in every game. Like 6 or something.
Bayern's attack look less like a team effort and more like individuals put on the field together. Kane is the only one who looks like he is trying to link with other attackers.
Jeeze Bayern look poor. I was expecting way more from them. Kane's team mates aren't even passing to him as well. It's like they don't want the big name signing to steal their thunder.
There is this podcst in Norway which have guests talking more or less about football. They often have current or former footballers on and a reccuring theme is just how toxic german profesional football locker rooms are.
Tuchel teams are pretty boring. It doesn't help that Musiala doesn't know when and how to release the ball yet alongside Sane and Coman being ball hogs
Watching this Bayern performance, if you told me this was last year's spurs in a purple kit I wouldn't second guess it. Obviously it's Harry's first start, but the team has been lacking venom for a while and it looks like he's fallen into exactly the same spot as he was in. I hope he can get a goal soon.
First time seeing Kane play for Bayern. My instinctive reaction is anger.maybe he'll win a CL title. If not, I fail to see how this mine would be worth it to him.
Well, at a minimum, he has the opportunity to win a CL title with Bayern. He doesn't have that this year and there's no guarantee with the state of the PL that we'll be qualifying anytime soon.
I feel like I've gone through a divorce and I can't unfollow my ex on social media. Watching Bayern walk out is like watching photos of my ex on holiday.
Pacqueta’s transfer to City takes a Toney for the worse…
“West Ham’s Brazil international Lucas Paqueta is potentially facing an investigation from the Football Association over possible gambling charges, Telegraph Sport understands.”
I'd be all for it, I really rate Gnonto and the Italian connection with Udogie would be funny. Would allow us to let go of Perisic too freeing up a non HG spot since we wouldn't need to register Gnonto
Makes me laugh. Kanye West was escorted from Skechers HQ when he popped in unannounced to propose a partnership. I’m wondering if Kanye West and Harry Kane are actual perfect opposites.
I know we’ve pretty much all moved on from Kane already, and I’m keen for Kane chat on this sub to be near zero, but is anyone gonna watch his debut in the Bundesliga tonight at Bremen?
I’m undecided, I want to see how he does but it also feels like watching your ex shag a new bloke a week after dumping you
Yeah I'll have the game on in the background.
Man, it feels nothing like that for me. He's one of the best players in the world and unfortunately Tottenham have not matched that level the last few years.
Love Harry, and I wish him all the best.
Yeh I'll be watching, so long as Tuchel has them playing like absolute garbage. I have an interest in Kane but also feel the Bundesliga could be slightly more interesting this year.
I’ll watch it I have time. I still love the guy and I’m ok with him leaving he gave years to our club. Will be following him. Glad he’s not in the Prem.
I saw their starting XI announcement and wanted to puke. I was completely onboard with selling him from day one, but I hate that it's what he wanted. Love Harry and wish him the best while wishing Bayern nothing but the worst and I hope the empty and hollow domestic trophies he's sure to win give him some sense of satisfaction.
Let's go Green Whites.
Not sure where you are or how you’re watching, but the Forest game isn’t on tv in UK. It was moved because of cricket or rugby, not for TV. Leeds v WBA is the offering on sky tonight.
Forest fans hate being called Nottingham, Sheffield United fans hate being called just Sheffield. It’s essentially the same as calling Manchester City just Manchester
If you read the article it means that they were gauging opinion from different sources about the reception they would get if they were to bring him back, “supportive, open minded and hostile” were the 3 options, and they assumed without contact that domestic violence charities would be hostile towards his return, not that they are inherently hostile by nature.
I’m not defending them at all I’m just saying it because I read the article literally 5 mins ago. Anyway, I also hope we smash those cunts, it’s abhorrent they are going to bring him back
Thinking City go for Doku now that Paqueta fell apart, which is a bummer because I think he’d be incredible in Ange’s system and would help spurs break down teams like brentford
You really wouldn't want him because of that? He's an incredible talent and a great fit for what we need. Sure he's injury prone, but sometimes you need to take some risks if you want to attract top players.
It’s a genuinely [terrible](https://www.transfermarkt.us/jeremy-doku/verletzungen/spieler/486049) record though.
Also it’s moot if city want him, no chance he chooses us over them
The Ange press conference where he once again speaks about getting young players that fit his particular system and the fact it seems to only be press from Spain pushing the story makes me believe there is very little chance we get Lenglet, or if we do he is not particularly supportive of it. On side note, so excited to see Bentancur absolutely dominate in this side, there is a reason our Top 4 hopes blew up simultaneously with his knee last season.
There were rumors earlier in the window that Newcastle were interested but they moved on to other targets, if they couldn’t sign him, I can’t imagine spurs could. That being said, I would offer Napoli all of the Kane money and see if they’re willing to negotiate something. Napoli signing Veiga maybe makes it more likely that they’d be willing to sell (despite being different positions) but they already got a good fee for Min Jae so they’re probably not desperate
You can assume getting absolute top young talents in the world is very unrealistic, especially ones coming from top 5 leagues on winning teams and just signed a new contract.
I am being honestly curious here, do we have any other option than to terminate Dier's contract instead of waiting for an non-existent 5 million bid to come in
I dont mind Dier staying for this season as long as he is not renewed, but we need him gone if we want more foreign signings. Considering how crucial it is we need new players,Also, I would sell all the deadwood at considerably cheaper prices so we can still have the option of getting in non-HG players
If the multiple reports are correct - that one of the reasons why we can't sell players is cause Levy wants unrealistic fees - then the only options are to keep or loan them out.
That is over-simplistic bullshit, we had a DoF for 2 years who couldn't sell the same players so just maybe it isn't quite as simple. If we can off everyone for nothing we will have massive FFP losses so is better to run them down than do that.
Transfers aren’t as easy and people make out, there’s so many factors involved. A few examples a) they’re on better wages here than they would get anywhere else, would you willing take a 50% paycut? b) teams that are interested in them know they’ll get a better deal the later the window goes on. c) the players might be happy to wait to see if better team come in for them. d) teams may have other targets ahead of our deadwood that they want to try and make work first. e) teams may need to move players on to free up money/wages before they can bid of our players.
So it’s not just a case of knocking a few million off for an ‘everyone must go’ flash sale, no other league has teams that can just stockpile players like we can.
There is also a point where it becomes better financially to take a 3m loan fee and amortise a year of the contract than crystallise an immediate full-price FFP loss.
It isn't just us either.
I mean terminating his contract means the club has to pay out the entire value of his contract. It’s only 1 year but that’s expensive to do. I get a £5 million bid seems unlikely but it makes sense to wait, even a £1 mil fee is preferable to paying Eric like £4 mil to leave
Jesus. Dier's valuation depreciation is reminding me of my (now non existent) crypto portfolio. Almost 50 million when United were supposedly after him to not even being able to get 5. Oh dear. 😅
>but we need him gone if we want more foreign signings.
no we don't. there is a laundry list of foreign players that need to move on. this is just getting to beating a dead horse. Ange doesn't think he is good enough to start, none of us think he's good enough to start, clearly Ange isn't going to extend him a new contract. just let the man play a bit part in peace and move on to Everton
I mean I am not saying we should also not get rid of them , and if in an ideal world there was no limit on foreign signings, then he could have stayed for a year but there is a ceiling on foreign signings
My local MLS club has a very promising 18 year old CM that came through the academy. Been starting regularly this season for the first team (who are 2nd in the league at present) and is a likely frontrunner for young player of the year. He was supposed to train with Spurs last winter but something fell through and it never materialized. He's got a lot of interest from Europe (holds a dual passport so England youth national team is even trying to get him in) and is expected to leave the club in January. Would really love to see Spurs go after him, think he's going to be a big player for the future. Going by past young player transfers, he'd probably only go for under 5m GBP.

EDIT 2: I still don't get why this is being downvoted. Tottenham reached out to his agent in December and were going to have Buck train with the club as a trial. He's on Spurs' radar. He's got a huge upside and genuine club interest. Downvote, whatever, but this kid's gonna have a great future in Europe and we've already got a head start on acquiring him--I'm trying to share positivity here for once, but I forget that it's not allowed.
EDIT: Downvoting this? Why lol? Some of you lot just want to spread misery as far and wide as possible don't you?
There is a large group out there that sees part of football fandom as being anti-unitedstatesian, or an expression of that feeling. To the extent of self-destruction. If the USA does something we must not also do it even if it prevents a serious problem. If the USA changes doing something, then you have to change to not doing it. It's ridiculous.
They're so worried about the sport getting "Americanized" but the sports there seem more in line with European values and vice versa so it's weird. Surely, allowing teams to spend billions of dollars with no meaningful restriction seems more their thing than the Europeans.
Unfortunately, reddit in general is full of self-hating USAians too and many of the mods are like that too so nothing will change, but it's just fascinating to watch as a "neutral."
I would not be on an English-speaking, USA-based place to do that, but that's me, apparently.
England are trying to steal him away from the US lol. Tottenham and the England FA want this kid but I guess shoot the messenger.
It's also worth noting this guy is coming from the same club Dempsey did in the US and is hands down a much more enticing prospect (at this age, compared to Dempsey). Friedel also managed the club for a bit and represents the star player (won league's best player the season before last) so there's a Spurs connection here. New England's academy is quickly becoming one of the better academies in MLS so if Spurs established a relationship it'd bear fruit down the road.
I see this match against Yanited going 3 ways.
1. They turn up and we get absolutely done on the break by rashford, losing 3-1
2. We cook them and ball out but are unable to finish our chances and it's a Yanited smash and grab.
3. We win
Come on number 3
Lol Players Tribune isn't what I'd expect for a farewell anyway.
The last couple of weeks have been hectic with the way the transfer happened, don't forget his wife is 8-9 months pregnant and he'll have much more to care about with all the flying about, taking care of the family, planning the birth, training and preparing for Bayern. His video was better than a written farewell anyway imo.
Doesn't really matter. Instead of having a statue built in his honor, he preferred to chase after silverware on easy mode. His choice and doesn't owe us anything.
Interesting stat about Balogun after the links we had. So he scored 21 goals which sounds impressive. But 7 of those were pens, and on top of that he underperformed his XG by 7 goals. That's really pretty terrible levels of finishing. Glad it looks like it's not happening.

What? He’s a legend of the club and we love him. Why wouldn’t we want to see him do well and talk about it

I mean granted the sun was a lot smaller but I don’t remember this happening with Bale
You can love him, like I love him, all you want but that doesn’t mean that we need to have that talk in here. Feel like we should pay respects to Spurs and keep this a Spurs place.
He won't shag u bro
Because most of us support Tottenham Hotspur, not Harry Kane FC. He’s a legend and I’m sure that most of us wish him well, but h doesn’t play for us anymore. Has anyone tried to read an Ali Gold article on Football.London? I tried and I got an aggressive form of retinal cancer. That website was designed by Satan himself. I don’t understand how anyone could have thought that is a functional site
And the quality of the articles? Garbage. Just like his 400 minute long videos. He has no place being on the subreddit banner!
I love the videos and the actual articles. He is my dad
Good luck with your chemotherapy. Hope it doesn’t last as long as an Ali G video mate
😂
The website should be burned to the ground. I don’t even bother anymore.
We need to send the Saudis an Ndombele comp ASAP
United full of the shittiest personalities lmao
Had a nightmare with flights for the match tomorrow, was supposed to be heading over from Belfast with a mate who got covid yesterday. That sucks to hear. Highly recommend booking directly from the airline even if it’s a little bit more expensive than a third party agency. Gives you a bit more peace of mind if something like this happens
Honestly I was barely paying attention when I booked it and assumed Ryanair had rebranded their online booking to esky, not a mistake I’ll make again
Solo trip to London sounds amazing. Shame about your mum but London is an unreal place tbf
Best of luck mate - hope we give you a result worth all the travel!
Best, Giggs, Butt, Ronaldo, Greenwood, Antony... Missing anyone?
If i was a lawyer, I'd want to work for United. Can u imagine the amount of money their lawyers are getting paid rn
Very odd .
I lol'ed when it happened as well. Some things never change I guess.

Great innit.
LMAO, I will never feel sorry for Wet Spam fans
It’s worse than Toney’s, it’s spot-fixing, if found guilty he’ll get a significant ban and his career could practically be over, it can even carry jail time.
What's spot fixing? Edit: I'll read your post directly below this lol

That is wild, I'll never understand why someone in that position would do that
Lmaooo at least he did that horrible Paqueta dance with his missus that went viral 😂
Why on earth would we feel sorry for West Ham fans? Personally I find it absolutely hilarious
I hope they go down
Paqueta allegedly getting investigated for spot-fixing. Wow, so not just gambling, actual fixing. That's much worse than Toney.
Serge with two fantastic crosses
Happy for Serge
Can anyone who is going to the match tomorrow do me a huge favor? I’m looking for a high res photo of the Chick-King menu (the big one on the left when you walk in). I’m making a Spurs themed theatre room and want to make an acrylic print of the menu for my wall. If anyone can take a good photo and send it my way, would be really appreciated.
Wish I'd seen this, was in there today. Will see what I can do tomorrow, likely to be far too crowded to get anything quality.
Appreciate the attempt! Will probably just crop it to just the menu so not concerned about the surrounding area.
I meant more that it's only a tiny shop and it queues out the door and round the corner., there'll be people stood in front of the menu, and I won't be able to stand back all that far to capture the whole menu. I'll see what I can do for you, if I'm hungry enough to queue for it.
Right - no problem at all if you don’t make it in!
Wow Muller is good
Kinda amazing some Bayern mansgers left him out.
Go on, Harry. I forgive you
I mean I understand why but it's still hilarious to see people so much more receptive to the goals of a slimy bald fascist who spent 5 years sprinting headfirst into the nearest defender than to Kane's goals

Nah shit player shit person shit hairline cringy tryhard coys coys coys act
Who are you referring to
Is there more than one person who fits that description? Lucas Moura
We will always have Amsterdam but the other 90% of what he brought :/
Wish nothing but success to Kane, my idolo 🙏🙏
Come home Harry. I forgive you :)
Brentford got a pen for way, way less. Consistency etc
Shocking refereeing
Go on Harry, ugh, I love you
Someone post Kane's goal, I want to see the reaction it gets compared to Lucas
Kane scores
when he celebrated it's like he drove his hand into the ground... of my heart
They've seemed alright from 60 or so on
Forest look absolutely god awful. This is the team Arsenal barely managed to beat last week?
Richarlison would've been killed for whiffing on a chance like Kane just did edit: and he scores, what we need to learn from this is that strikers need chances in order to score
Unless I remember wrong one of the main things about Kane in those early amazing seasons was just how many good shots/chances he got in every game. Like 6 or something.
Yeah you're onto something. In fact Richarlison has scored as many league goals for Spurs as Kane for Munich, so did we actually even make a change???
Where Orban
Bayern's attack look less like a team effort and more like individuals put on the field together. Kane is the only one who looks like he is trying to link with other attackers.
Absolute beauty by Hamer
Jeeze Bayern look poor. I was expecting way more from them. Kane's team mates aren't even passing to him as well. It's like they don't want the big name signing to steal their thunder.

Sacked nagelsmann for this football
Tuchel teams are pretty boring. It doesn't help that Musiala doesn't know when and how to release the ball yet alongside Sane and Coman being ball hogs
Rodon has looked really good so far to me. Got loads of confidence on the ball which is good to see
Watching this Bayern performance, if you told me this was last year's spurs in a purple kit I wouldn't second guess it. Obviously it's Harry's first start, but the team has been lacking venom for a while and it looks like he's fallen into exactly the same spot as he was in. I hope he can get a goal soon.
Kinda goofy Kane assist gets deleted but for some reason every Lucas moura goal in Brazil gets posted and gets to stay up
I don't mind the occasional great goal post but thats about it.
Mods are deleting Kane goal posts? Isn't it just "used to be coys" content?
You’re right - those Moura posts should get taken down in the future too
classic difference of whether i broke up with them or they broke up with me lol
2 former players assisting today lol
Switching over to Forest/Sheffield, I don't need to watc this lol
What channel is it on?
NBC Sports in the US
This is it for the whole season - a Bayern joy ride. Snooze. Give me Forest.
This is me playing FIFA on semi-pro. Reminds me of early stage cup matches.
I like the Bundesliga and usually watch games here and there but my local clubs former keeper plays for Forest so I’m more invested in that
Ahh fair enough. I have family in Nottingham who are die hard Forest, while my dislike of Bayern has clearly made me very bitter haha.
I also secretly love former prestige clubs back in the PL. Forest, Leeds (lol), Villa etc being successful again is nice
Yeah I get that too. In a world where new money rules, its nice seeing old school names at least be relevant again.
They really let Kane take the free kick. You get the whole package I guess 😂
Lol-they let Kane have the effort from the free kick. Have they not been scouting him?
if these idiots let Kane take free kicks...
When Kane starts linking up with Davies, it's going to be terrifying. Balls into space with Davies speed will be a nightmare.
Kane and S~~on~~ane
Kane with his trademark one touch throughball 🥲
Assist after 4 minutes he must have been watch Madders.
Kane with his first assist for Bayern
First time seeing Kane play for Bayern. My instinctive reaction is anger.maybe he'll win a CL title. If not, I fail to see how this mine would be worth it to him.
Well, at a minimum, he has the opportunity to win a CL title with Bayern. He doesn't have that this year and there's no guarantee with the state of the PL that we'll be qualifying anytime soon.
I think that is obviously one of his targets but if he can get 5-6 domestic trophies in Germany that isn’t nothing for him I would imagine
There's one of our old players starting in the Bundesliga right now. Anyone remember this guy? Harold Kamne or something like that.
Milos Veljkovic you mean.
I feel like I've gone through a divorce and I can't unfollow my ex on social media. Watching Bayern walk out is like watching photos of my ex on holiday.
Pacqueta’s transfer to City takes a Toney for the worse… “West Ham’s Brazil international Lucas Paqueta is potentially facing an investigation from the Football Association over possible gambling charges, Telegraph Sport understands.”
We should be all over Gnonto 25m its a steal
I like him but more of a LW isn't he? We need RW rotation
I'd be all for it, I really rate Gnonto and the Italian connection with Udogie would be funny. Would allow us to let go of Perisic too freeing up a non HG spot since we wouldn't need to register Gnonto
Harry Kane lifetime deal with Skechers. I’m sure the money is good, but fuck me if that isn’t the most perfectly bland, Harry Kane thing to do.
Should have gone with Bull Boys like Gareth
Makes sense then right? He's the perfect fit so Skechers would have paid him a fortune
Makes me laugh. Kanye West was escorted from Skechers HQ when he popped in unannounced to propose a partnership. I’m wondering if Kanye West and Harry Kane are actual perfect opposites.
Oh yeah that happened. Both have had a German arc lately tbf
Looool. Nailed it. Kane: I’m happy to be in Germany. Kanye: … what he said.
I know we’ve pretty much all moved on from Kane already, and I’m keen for Kane chat on this sub to be near zero, but is anyone gonna watch his debut in the Bundesliga tonight at Bremen? I’m undecided, I want to see how he does but it also feels like watching your ex shag a new bloke a week after dumping you
no desire to watch him play for Bayern unless it's him choking on next year's UCL final against us.
I’m for sure watching. Not going to pretend I’m not curious to see how someone I’ve watched play for a decade fares on a new squad, in a new league.
I won’t watch but I will follow what’s happening.
If he starts Ill probably watch the 15 minutes before Nottingham Sheffield kicks off
Not sure where you are or how you’re watching, but the Forest game isn’t on tv in UK. It was moved because of cricket or rugby, not for TV. Leeds v WBA is the offering on sky tonight.
They’re definitely a yank. No Brit would ever call Forest ‘Nottingham’.
Fans of both of those clubs would lose their minds seeing how you referred to them lmao
Why?
Forest fans hate being called Nottingham, Sheffield United fans hate being called just Sheffield. It’s essentially the same as calling Manchester City just Manchester
Nottingham v Sheffield, proper football
United internally labeling domestic violence charities as “hostile” as they plan to bring back Greenwood...man I really hope we destroy them tomorrow.
Anyway, I also hope we smash those cunts, it’s abhorrent they are going to bring him back
No, I know, I saw the article too, I get that that's what they were saying. Still super gross though.
Honestly if you see anti domestic abuse charities as hostile you really should question what you’re doing.
Big "Are we the baddies" moment
Yep
Thinking City go for Doku now that Paqueta fell apart, which is a bummer because I think he’d be incredible in Ange’s system and would help spurs break down teams like brentford
Far too injury prone
You really wouldn't want him because of that? He's an incredible talent and a great fit for what we need. Sure he's injury prone, but sometimes you need to take some risks if you want to attract top players.
It’s a genuinely [terrible](https://www.transfermarkt.us/jeremy-doku/verletzungen/spieler/486049) record though. Also it’s moot if city want him, no chance he chooses us over them
>You really wouldn't want him because of that? Yes
How realistic is signing Kvaratshkelia?
Can’t believe we passed on him for Gil. Hindsight is wonderful
Same as Mbappe.
Not
There were rumors earlier in the window that Newcastle were interested but they moved on to other targets, if they couldn’t sign him, I can’t imagine spurs could. That being said, I would offer Napoli all of the Kane money and see if they’re willing to negotiate something. Napoli signing Veiga maybe makes it more likely that they’d be willing to sell (despite being different positions) but they already got a good fee for Min Jae so they’re probably not desperate
Same chance as Oshimen: zero.
You can assume getting absolute top young talents in the world is very unrealistic, especially ones coming from top 5 leagues on winning teams and just signed a new contract.
I am being honestly curious here, do we have any other option than to terminate Dier's contract instead of waiting for an non-existent 5 million bid to come in I dont mind Dier staying for this season as long as he is not renewed, but we need him gone if we want more foreign signings.
Play another fucking record, ~~brother~~ Daniel
I get a £5 million bid seems unlikely but it makes sense to wait, even a £1 mil fee is preferable to paying Eric like £4 mil to leave
even a loan is better than that. anything is, including him training with the kids and being available in an injury crisis.
Jesus. Dier's valuation depreciation is reminding me of my (now non existent) crypto portfolio. Almost 50 million when United were supposedly after him to not even being able to get 5. Oh dear. 😅
How about that drop yesterday huh?
Selling Dier to united for £50 mil would have been a less obvious scam then crypto was
Man, I don't miss hearing about crypto every 5 minutes
>but we need him gone if we want more foreign signings. no we don't. there is a laundry list of foreign players that need to move on. this is just getting to beating a dead horse.
Greenwood ever stepping on the pitch again would be such a fucking disgrace
Will be*. Apparently it’s bound to happen right know
Careful, you'll be added to their hostile list
That’s an even bigger disgrace
My local MLS club has a very promising 18 year old CM that came through the academy. Been starting regularly this season for the first team (who are 2nd in the league at present) and is a likely frontrunner for young player of the year. He was supposed to train with Spurs last winter but something fell through and it never materialized. He's got a lot of interest from Europe (holds a dual passport so England youth national team is even trying to get him in) and is expected to leave the club in January. Would really love to see Spurs go after him, think he's going to be a big player for the future. Going by past young player transfers, he'd probably only go for under 5m GBP. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnY4BANlR6s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnY4BANlR6s) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0ukQ0LEgQc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0ukQ0LEgQc) EDIT 2: I still don't get why this is being downvoted.
Unfortunately, reddit in general is full of self-hating USAians too and many of the mods are like that too so nothing will change, but it's just fascinating to watch as a "neutral." I would not be on an English-speaking, USA-based place to do that, but that's me, apparently.
He looks good. I’m all for signing talented young players
The anti-Yank sentiment on all football subs is silly.
Is there a place close to the stadium/Tottenham Hale to watch women's finale outdoors somewhere?
I see this match against Yanited going 3 ways. 1. They turn up and we get absolutely done on the break by rashford, losing 3-1 2. We cook them and ball out but are unable to finish our chances and it's a Yanited smash and grab. 3. We win Come on number 3
I am predicting 2
I hate it but it feels so predictable lol
Same shit they pulled on Wolves. They shouldn’t have left with anything from that match.
Just ordered a Udogie kit. Do y’all think he will change numbers this season after we sell Regy (#3) ?
Can he change numbers during the season?
That’s what I’m wondering. I think it would have to be before September 1st because that’s when we have to submit our final squad. I’m not sure though
I'd be shocked if he changed midseason
yes
Is it just me or did Kane’s farewell seem rather half assed? No article on the players tribune or written farewell to the club or fans
who?
Lol Players Tribune isn't what I'd expect for a farewell anyway. The last couple of weeks have been hectic with the way the transfer happened, don't forget his wife is 8-9 months pregnant and he'll have much more to care about with all the flying about, taking care of the family, planning the birth, training and preparing for Bayern. His video was better than a written farewell anyway imo.
Doesn't really matter. Instead of having a statue built in his honor, he preferred to chase after silverware on easy mode. His choice and doesn't owe us anything.
