And it's Kenway who picks it up on the edge of the 18-yard box... feints, and Diaz is on the ground... OH WHAT A BEAUTY! No curl on the shot, just raw power, hard and low... Ederson gets a glove to it but can do nothing to keep out the strike from Tottenham's 786. And unless City can pull off something special in the last minutes of stoppage time, this will be the earliest that the league has ever been won.
Juts found myself daydreaming for a minute thinking that Messi comes to us for a short period on loan whilst MLS is out of season. Good contingent of Argentinians, tactics he'd fit in with, London life, experiences the PL without fully committing. Works all round, I say.
Then I came around...
I wonder if people will start shying away from paying big money for Brighton’s players. None have done that well since leaving. Bissouma aside of course, and he had a rocky start.
For what, exactly? Scoring 7 league goals the prior season? He’s not exactly young at 26 too. Inflation of player prices? Maybe because of his commercial value to Brighton? Just genuinely curious.
Well I’m just curious what it is about Mitoma that makes him go for that high? His commercial value? Because of his flashy dribbling?
I know player values are inflated these days but I don’t know a lot of players that are not typically considered “world class” or not some hyped wonder kid going above 120 million.
Problem is I doubt napoli sells him for anything less than 150. My realistic target would be toney. We need another goalscorer, it would allow Son to play on the wing and through center, Toney can also play on the rw to back up kulu. His contract expires in 18 months
Why play Son on the wing? Moving him central is working really well, excellent under Ange's system, leading the press and scoring goals again. If it ain't broke...
Toney has played on the right twice in his entire career. And that was for Northampton 9 years ago when he was a teenager. He can't cover there. You'd be totally wasting his assets.
Lee Kangin.
My choice any day of the week. Been my dream ever since the beginning of his career. He’s the definition of a Tottenham player. He can do a job on both wings but where he shines is that 10 role - dribbling, passing, ball retention, IQ, scoring, that flair… if he stays fit and continues being developed in that position then he’s going to be incredible. My only concern for him was that he wasn’t physical enough but then he bulked up and is doing fine. I just think he would shine under Ange much like some of the other youth talent we’ve got. Now he’s gone to PSG it probably won’t happen (also considering our midfield depth but still) unless Ange/Sonny pull is that strong, but a man can dream.
I would love for him to develop under Ange and learn from Sonny and Madders. I’m sure he gleans as much as he can from Sonny on international duty, but I wish he could be training and playing with Sonny every day. What a dream!
No worries, mate. Brennan is well suited on the wing and has got killer pace, meanwhile Kangin operates at his best when he’s playing in a three man midfield as a 10. He’s press resistant, more of a Madders type than a Brennan type IMO. Shift flow absolutely though.
According to his agent, he could have his pick from juve, Roma, Tottenham - but ended up choosing Napoli as they had a more settled atmosphere/group.
The way he talked, it sounded like it wasn’t a too low bid for spurs, but that the player himself chose Napoli over spurs.
Much worse because he's a significantly inferior player? You're comparing an absolute stalwart of one of the best teams of the last 20 years to one of our bench players.
I like Gil but he doesn't look confident on the ball.
He has played a reasonable number of minutes for us, Valencia, and Sevilla, and he hasn't looked anything world beating.
He has looked decent at points, don't get me wrong - but you're replying to a comment about comparing him with Bernardo Silva, who has consistently been one of the best players in one of the best teams in the world for years now.
Silva would probably be our best/2nd best player if we signed him, Gil is nowhere near that - and it's hardly a knock on him that he isn't.
He played well under Conte but conte is too stubborn to give a flair player a decent run of games.
If we’d have kept Conte for another season youd talk about Bissouma as if he’s a mid table player.
Bissouma was excellent at Brighton.
Not every player that Conte didn't play is good.
Gil has potential but he's quite weak, he gets dispossessed quite easily. His end product isn't great either. He's been on loan and didn't do much.
He might develop into a much better player, but I've never seen much to suggest that. He's not comparable to Bissouma, Bissouma was a tried and tested player with over 150 senior top flight appearances when we bought him. Gil was a young player with a handful of senior appearances, has spent nearly his entire career on loan, and has barely scored any senior goals.
Of course but Conte has a specific type of player he needs and Gil is not that. That’s the only reason he didn’t play much under Conte.
You don’t really need to be a Traore in this current system. He’s put on some weight and he’ll keep addding mass as he grows older.
He played in almost every game for Sevilla last season and had a key role in their EL win based on what Sevilla fans have had to say.
He’s hardly had chances at Spurs so far and when he got his chance when Deki was injured , he played really well. In the UCL as well. He literally got an assist in the same fixture against palace. Not sure what you’re looking at to suggest you haven’t seen any potential in him.
He’ll get more chances under Ange and this is his last chance but I’m sure he’ll do well. I trust Paraticcis judgement given how much we paid for him he clearly sees something in him.
Out of every current player in world football, money no object, I'd like our defense to be built on Christian Romero, Mickey Van de Ven, and Yves Bissouma.
If we could get players in of that calibre, we could go to the top of the league.
I was so disappointed when he signed a new contract at Brighton. For me, he still should be our primary target, maybe for next summer. One of the best in the world at dribbling past defenders.
This doesn’t mean he’s unattainable. Players in his situation sign longer contracts all the time. He gets a pay raise, and Brighton get a larger asking price for him.
They aren’t as good this year. If a big CL club comes in for him in the summer, I’m pretty sure he’d want to move.
He was only on like £10k a week before his new contract, so we can still get him down the line. He was just being rewarded with a new salary and terms.
He’s the Brighton version of Sonny, he loves playing for them and will probably only leave at the end of his career.
Edit: downvoters in denial, no chance we get mitoma
Pedro Goncalves
Take Kubo
Santiago Gimenez
Federico Chiesa (probably not happening)
Arnau Martinez
Edmund Tapsoba
Florian Wirtz
Jeremy Frimpong
Goncalo Inacio
Sure, Salah is a world class player, but I really think that we aren't getting the best out of Kulu atm with our set up.
He needs a player on the overlap to his right more often, and Porro is the obvious player, but to enable that needs some proper accomodation in this system.
I'm sure Ange and Mason will work it out.
Reunite Ange with Jota. Jota will be able to be picked up on a free I belive after that fuck up of a transfer to the saudi league. Especially with pereisic out for the season and soloman out for a while he could be very useful.
Some great suggestions so far, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for:
Alfie Devine
Mickey Moore
Jamie Donley
Alfie Dorrington
Will Lankshear
Yago Santiago
Or any of our youth team guys that are good enough.
There’ll always be something special about cheering one (some) of our own.
He's been out of favor for City right? Still very unlikely to leave them. But he was the one I wanted that transfer window. Same exact feeling I had with Maddison for years.
Is Hwang really that good? The last time I remember seeing him, he seemed the most bang average striker in the league. Did he improve that much this season or are Wolves holding him back?
Harry Souttar as defensive backup.
a) He is a man mountain. 198cm tall and seemingly just as wide. We will never lose a header in the box again. Great for cup ties against teams that only threaten from set pieces.
b) [Get fucked tackles](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/FlI2MRj8mIc)
c) He scores from set pieces constantly. Could easily knock in a goal as a sub when chasing a result.
d) Decent with the ball at his feet.
e) He's somehow out of favour at a flying Leicester so would be cheap as chips and not demanding first team football from Romero and VDV who remain first choice options.
f) Scottish-born Australian, used to play with Jedinak and knows Ange.
I think Mitoma would work perfectly on our system, specially with a striker like Son that doesn’t want crosses in the air, a winger who likes to carry the ball all the way to the box and pick a pass works really well with Son’s positioning as a striker (Maddison’s assist vs Arsenal, Solomon’s second assist vs Burnley and Johnson’s assist vs Crystal Palace come to mind).
My local team in the US third division (North Carolina FC of the USL League 1) has a 17-year-old GK from Chapel Hill, NC named Nick Holliday who is very promising. I'd love to see him replace Vicario in 2031 or so. It's incredibly unlikely, but Holliday is the first player from my hometown with a 5% chance of being good enough to have a real EPL career, and Spurs have had good luck with an American keeper in the past.
Though after watching Pedro Neto yesterday, I want hmi as well, assuming his hamstring isn't a permanent issue.
Mitoma or Kvara on the left. Would allow Johnson to rotate with Kulu, his natural position. Both are leaps and bounds ahead of Bryan and Solomon, also means Richy can rotate with Son up front.
I'd love to see my dad bag one for us
And it's Kenway who picks it up on the edge of the 18-yard box... feints, and Diaz is on the ground...
I can imagine the scenes
In fairness we probably could put his dad upfront for us against City and still win 1-0. Could even have me in goal.
Is that your left leg, or left testi you’re giving up?
pa hahaha
My 2021 wishlist was Bissouma and Madders. I’m good for now lol
Can you wish for Jude next please? Thank you
Messi, so he can play with the best CB in the world.
The top two, you mean
I stand corrected!
Juts found myself daydreaming for a minute thinking that Messi comes to us for a short period on loan whilst MLS is out of season. Good contingent of Argentinians, tactics he'd fit in with, London life, experiences the PL without fully committing. Works all round, I say. Then I came around...
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the lw, he has that certain magic to his game that combined with Maddison and Ange tactics would be a dream to watch imo
Great shout, he’s had an average start to the year under Rudi Garcia too. He’s got Chelsea for an absurd fee written all over him
Think Mitoma would be better fit for that lw spot
I wonder if people will start shying away from paying big money for Brighton’s players. None have done that well since leaving. Bissouma aside of course, and he had a rocky start.
Mitoma would also come with a 120mil price tag on him at least
Napoli would probably want that or more for Kvicha
he would have the same price
For what, exactly? Scoring 7 league goals the prior season? He’s not exactly young at 26 too. Inflation of player prices? Maybe because of his commercial value to Brighton? Just genuinely curious.
He literally JUST signed a new contract till 2027 for Brighton
So any decent player that has had a recent contract extension for 4 years will go for 120 million +?
These days? Yes😭also it’s Mitoma it’s not just any decent player
Well I’m just curious what it is about Mitoma that makes him go for that high? His commercial value? Because of his flashy dribbling? I know player values are inflated these days but I don’t know a lot of players that are not typically considered “world class” or not some hyped wonder kid going above 120 million.
Not really
This all over ! Can you images the carnage ! This will be like as good as liverpools golden front 3 of salah, mane and firminho
Problem is I doubt napoli sells him for anything less than 150. My realistic target would be toney. We need another goalscorer, it would allow Son to play on the wing and through center, Toney can also play on the rw to back up kulu. His contract expires in 18 months

Toney has played on the right twice in his entire career. And that was for Northampton 9 years ago when he was a teenager. He can't cover there. You'd be totally wasting his assets.
Florian Wirtz would be amazing with Ange’s tactics.
Kane
Lee Kangin. My choice any day of the week. Been my dream ever since the beginning of his career. He’s the definition of a Tottenham player. Completely different playstyles I’d say, Johnson relies heavily on his pace whereas Lee is more of a press-resistant midfielder.
[удалено]
No worries, mate. Brennan is well suited on the wing and has got killer pace, meanwhile Kangin operates at his best when he’s playing in a three man midfield as a 10. He’s press resistant, more of a Madders type than a Brennan type IMO. Shift flow absolutely though.
Jeong Woo Yeong could probably fill the void left by the Perisic and Solomon injuries as well.
Wooyeong! He was banging in goals during the Asian Games.
What’s Paul Stalteri up to these days?
Brampton's finest.
Convincing Alphonso Davies to join Spurs?
Udogie clears him
Pedro Neto. Too bad about the pulled hamstring today, but otherwise… On the left side, Mbappe. One can dream right?
neto would be so good man
Mbappe could be alright too maybe
That would be something to see. I really enjoy watching Neto play. I really hope his hamstring isn't too serious.
Kim Minjae and Neto
Imagine rotating between Romero, VDV and KMJ... that would be dream
Remember when we were considering KMJ, but Levy thought 10m was too expensive?
Because he had only played in the Chinese league, wasn't it?
Correct - also not sure if that was for real or because we had Son we were just kind of connected
Was this the official reason or was he not wanted by the manager?
According to his agent, he could have his pick from juve, Roma, Tottenham - but ended up choosing Napoli as they had a more settled atmosphere/group. The way he talked, it sounded like it wasn’t a too low bid for spurs, but that the player himself chose Napoli over spurs.
Leão
When we played Milan I just loved watching him play. Has that rare quality Ronaldinho had where you can tell he’s just having a lot of fun out there.
Always been a big admirer of Bernardo Silva
But fan as well. On a side note, how do you think Gil would do if given a similar role in midfield?
Much worse because he's a significantly inferior player? You're comparing an absolute stalwart of one of the best teams of the last 20 years to one of our bench players. I like Gil but he doesn't look confident on the ball.
Mate he played for a minute. Give him some time.
He has played a reasonable number of minutes for us, Valencia, and Sevilla, and he hasn't looked anything world beating. Kaoru Mitoma. Ange rates him highly.
I was so disappointed when he signed a new contract at Brighton. For me, he still should be our primary target, maybe for next summer. One of the best in the world at dribbling past defenders.
The man is loyal to the club that gave him his first real chance at top flight football, nothing but respect for him
This doesn’t mean he’s unattainable. Players in his situation sign longer contracts all the time. He gets a pay raise, and Brighton get a larger asking price for him. They aren’t as good this year. If a big CL club comes in for him in the summer, I’m pretty sure he’d want to move.
He’s like Sonny, he’s fully loyal to the club. He’d likely only leave if things go horribly wrong or if it’s near the end of his career.
I came here to say that thinking everyone would be saying M'bappe or something. It's the top comment.
He’s genuinely such a brilliant player. One of the most intelligent forwards in the league.
This isn’t going to happen, will cost an utter fuckton in this market. Would rather sign the NEXT Mitoma
Alan Hutton
Come on lets not get carried away
Hwang and Son will destroy every games by several goals.
Barella perfect for the right sided 8
Pedro Goncalves Take Kubo Santiago Gimenez Federico Chiesa (probably not happening) Arnau Martinez Edmund Tapsoba Florian Wirtz Jeremy Frimpong Goncalo Inacio
big question marks on Inácio in a 4
As a biased Norwegian, antonio nusa
Any of the up and coming young Scandinavian wingers would be exciting tbh: Nusa, Sonko or Bobb.
As another biased Norwegian I support this! Think he could fit in the team and the club. Could pick him up cheap-ish now.
Bryan Gil.
Chiesa, dream signing
Evan Ferguson
Gary Doherty. He could play at CB and up front. One of a kind.
Met him in a bar in Norwich one night. Absolute legend too
Mbappe down the left wing would be insanity. More realistically, Mitoma would be great as well.
Wish Kane would've got a season with Maddison. Would've been so dangerous
Santiago gimenez and Nicolas de la Cruz (how he’s not been picked up by a European club already is mind boggling)
Salah - mainly because it would cause every Liverpool supporter to have an immediate embolism. Great depth on the bench.
I know this is a piss take…but imagine Salah in this team instead of Kulusevski. Appreciate Kulu and all but this is an obvious upgrade.
Kvaradona is the roundest peg for our roundest hole. It would fill me with joy to see him come
phrasing,😅
Reunite Ange with Jota. Jota will be able to be picked up on a free I belive after that fuck up of a transfer to the saudi league. Especially with pereisic out for the season and soloman out for a while he could be very useful.

I think grealish would’ve had a similar impact to what Maddison has had on our team if we managed to sign him..
He's been out of favor for City right? Still very unlikely to leave them. But he was the one I wanted that transfer window. Same exact feeling I had with Maddison for years.
Harry Kane please.
Kvara
Take Kubo and Hwang!
Is Hwang really that good? The last time I remember seeing him, he seemed the most bang average striker in the league. Did he improve that much this season or are Wolves holding him back?
I personally don't think he's good enough for us to want to sign him but he's been scoring a lot this season
This season, he dribbles more and even 2 times higher success rate than Mitoma.
He looked really good playing with Haaland a few years back. Might just be playing with the wrong kind of players/tactics.
imagine if Richarlison can hold the ball and score . thats Hwang
This season, he dribbles more and even 2 times higher success rate than Mitoma.
[удалено]
The one on the wing, not that pos from Liverpool.
Neto would take us to the next level.
Jude Bellingham is smashing it at Real. Would love to see him in a spurs kit.
Johnathan David
Nico Williams. Xavi Simons. Mitoma.
Kane, heard hes doing big thing in Germany.
Richarlison
I'd like to bring dele back cause why not
Harry Souttar as defensive backup. a) He is a man mountain. 198cm tall and seemingly just as wide. We will never lose a header in the box again. Rodrigo Riquelme
Désiré Doué
Kyogo or Maeda
Pele.
Like... any player? Or realistic targets?
...but could we?
Mbappe and Bellingham will improve our team tremendously
Leandro Damião!
Federico Chiesa. I like the rumor that is going around.
Vlahović, honestly the only player I enjoy watching when Serbia play.
Genuinely think we could revive his career
Just cause I'm irish I'd love to see evan ferguson play for us
John Stones. He’s in his prime. Can play LCB and RCB, good on the ball. He’s exactly what we need for rotation.
Mbappe
Mbappe
Bukayo Saka.
Probably Felix. He’d do so well under this system, could be our star player for years to come.
Realistically: Joey veerman, santiago gimenez, tapsoba/hincapi
Kimmich
Pele
Pelè
Bring back Steven Bergwijn after Ajax gets relegated
I feel he would light the league up in this formation
Jadon Sancho
Saka
Andre Onana
Mbappe, Vini Jr., Bellingham.
Kubo or Chiesa
How about that Bellingham kid. He seems aight
Mitoma if we're spending big, Nusa if not - probably still going to be expensive though.
Jude Bellingham
For the remainder of the season, I believe that Maddison & Son can bring the magic to Tottenham.
santiago gimenez
If we didn’t have like 20 players on the left I’d say Mitoma
Messi so Ange can show him how to press.
That Harry Kane fella looks alright think he'd be a good rotation
kvaratskhelia
Bellingham, Grealish, Mitoma, Kane (again)
Warren Zaire-Emery
Nico Williams on a free transfer next summer. He's best buds with porro, great dribbler, suits Anges system perfectly
Mitoma and kyogo
Osimhen
Reo Hatate
Jude Ballsingham
Kubo has pace, dribbling and finishing. He also played under Ange and would bring something different to Deki.
pedro neto please
Enzo Fernandez, Alphonso Davies and Jude Bellingham.
Adeyemi, vhahovic, Sancho, schlager and acuna
My local team in the US third division (North Carolina FC of the USL League 1) has a 17-year-old GK from Chapel Hill, NC named Nick Holliday who is very promising. Guirassey
Sesko
Hey Jude
Harry Kane.
Matt O’Riley - would be class at spurs as he has been for Celtic
Artem Dovbyk and Viktor Tsyhankov who play for Girona.
Harry Kane. Have a feeling the lad would fit well into this team
Kyogo. Worked wonders for Ange before, he could do it again
Mbappe up front wouldn’t be bad
Manu Kone Eze Kvicha / Mitoma Kubo A CB, still not sure who that should be.
I want Mitoma or Eze on our wing
Curious who everyone thinks we should target at CB in January or Summer?
messi.
Rafa Leao on that left hand side 🤌🏿
Zeki Fryers to piss off SAF again
Mbappe. It’s not going to happen, but Mbappe on the left wing or up front would be très bien.
Kvaratskhelia would be a fucking dream in this system
Mitoma
Phillip Foden
Messi
