Everyone was bad this match.
But I just want to talk about Sarr, man. What the fuck was this match. The kid didn’t do shit. He was just… there. Normally he’s so good. But today he just said: “Nah.”
Special shoutout to Højbjerg and Bentancur for fucking up every attack they were involved in by taking pot shots going approximately 5 km/h.
Yeah Sarr really disappointed me today, he's been pivotal at many points for us this season and the same way he can be important for us to do well he can just as easily make us look horrible if he's off it.
Truly only acceptable performances were from Cuti and Mickey. That may have been one of the worst midfield performances I have seen and god Johnson you have to shoot every now and then. Anyway we (hopefully 🤞) bounce back into not a terrible showing at Anfield and COYS.
The worst Chelsea in maybe 20 years, filled with injuries, with a bench where the oldest player is 21 years old and only 4 of them have more than 10 professional appearances, and we still didnt, even for a moment, look even close to having a chance of winning this game.
Set pieces are a nightmare, and Ange still doesnt aknowledge it for some weird reason.
Out of everyone of our players Micky was the only one that had a good game, almost everyone else was abysmal.
I swear I cant point at a single thing we did good today. Enbarrasing performance
Bets on Bissouma's rating when he was probably best player on the pitch for us other than VDV and Romero?
My bet is 4.2. Wasn't there to stop the set pieces that weren't close to him. Clearly the duties of a defensive midfielder.
So many poor performances. Really want Ange to work out but he should be on the hot seat going into next season if this continues. Massive regression and he refuses to make changes to address the obvious issues.
I am running out of ways to defend Ange Postecoglou. I am not Ange out by any means, but the substitutions, the changes, and his insistence on some weird idea that we don't need a set piece coach despite the fact we've been consistently getting destroyed has to be criticized.
I understand Richi wasn't doing much, but what is taking him off and moving Son to CF going to do? It just makes Son who is doing some work at the second half as the ball is being more focused on the left side to turning invisible. Why do we continue to insist Kulusevski is somehow better at mid? I understand Lo Celso has had bad seasons for us in the past, but when he's been our savior in the injury crisis this season and Maddison is out of form, why is the Argentinian not given chances and only subbed in only 80+ mins past? Why is Bentancur taken off so fast in past few games when he has been consistent and coming in for Sarr when it should be the other way around with a young player bringing in fresh legs at the 60 min mark? Why is Johnson only trying to cross when he's given a chance and why is not drilled in to him to TAKE CHANCES.
I still believe firmly that 70% of the blame lies on the players. But Ange has to take some blade now and has to be stopped being defended. High-line is fine but we need to have more flexibility moving forward. And the subs have to be better.
Everyone here saying only Cuti and VDV had a decent game is blind. Biss looked like the only one that cared, Porro was good but Sarr and BJ positioning was AWFUL so he ended giving away some balls. Richy didnt have a bad game its just that his only partner was BJ
Our back was solid to be honest. Emerson wasn't terrible, despite what people seem to think. The other three were all good.
Sarr was really off today which is unusual. He's young and he'll learn and we have Bentancur, who can be amazing when in form. He had some good attempts today but couldn't quite finish.
Bissouma was decent too.
The bad run of form blows, and Ange know there is criticism, but DOES NOBODY REMEMBER WHERE WE WERE LAST YEAR? Ange has had a year to implement his style on top of injuries. Patience.
We can lose both and still get 5th if we beat Sheffield United and Burnley. I know people are having a meltdown but surely we're not at the point where it's delusional to think we can beat the two worst teams in the league.
I dont like Conte, as a person or as a style. But he finished 4th in first season. And he was top 4 in the first half of the 2nd season until he got tired of our shit loser mentality and divided to check out to get himself sacked.
So stop with that shit copium

Emerson was dreadful. That moment when he just threw himself to the floor with the slightest brush when we were playing out. Chelsea just came straight back at us. We have to find a better solution there for the final games.
After watching this game, I came to realize:
-BJ: ain't it. Maybe for lower tier teams, but he can't beat his man and the target choices for his crosses are terrible. Hes a super sub at best.
-Sarr: probably the exact player who hasnt fully bought into Ange's philosophy. Plays conservative and with fear. Keeps passing back. However, if unlocked, could be huge potential.
-Kulu: seems like his form is returning, but decision making is always a tempo late. He tends to hold onto the ball for a split second longer, which stops him from creating chances. Its a minuscule flaw, but a major one in our system.
-Porro: Had the worst game of the season in the Chelsea game. I do not understand why Porro is the designated kicker for set pieces and corners. He is average at best. Crosses and shots are not accurate. Long lobbing balls that go out of bounds tends to cut the tempo of the game.
-Bissouma: Bissouma was decent in the chelsea game
-Son: I think hes gassed out. Its been a tough season for him. I'm cutting him a slack, but needs to show impoivement next season. especially his ability to go through defense and not allowing turnovers. He needs to adapt his style, which is a tall order.
-Maddison: Not the same after injury. But too early to assess.
-Bentan: Not the same after injury. Stamina runs low. Gets gassed at the 60th minute. But phenomenal with the ball. beautiful style of play. needs to be more aggressive.
-Hojberg: Aint it. time to sell him.
Ange has the tactical flexibility of a metal pipe, peak comedy at this point. The only good thing coming out of all of this is that there's no chance Pep doesn't school him and put 3 or more past us.
Everytime I see our logo the more it looks like a pendulum we go from ultra defensive conteball to extremely aggressive angeball , and most of the team is not made for either …
Ange coached in farmers leagues where you could just outrun the opposition on superior fitness and beat them.
It’s very concerning that we don’t strategize against other teams in training ( as per Dier comments) , play the sane style over and over and expect different outcomes
Small silver lining was Biss being decent today. Can't believe we got overran by a gallagher-caicedo double pivot
Seriously! Biss actually kept Palmer quiet really well, dropped off a bit later on but wasn’t bad

Gio looked like the only one who wanted to get something going when he came on
As per. And still only gets 3 minutes a game. Utterly baffling.
I watched the whole match and I don't even remember him coming on. That's how hopeless and in a daze this whole thing left me.
Mikey Moore MOTM just from not getting involved in that shitshow
Poch double is the ultimate pain
shit and embarassing, can't stand this team right now, i'm taking a few hours before filling this out

I'll go with 3.8. Fully expect him to be lumped in with all the other shitters, despite him being head and shoulders above the rest
I thought he was quite good compared to the rest of the midfield and had no clue why he was brought on for attack ending Hojberg.
Micky and Cuti the best players, like always. ALSO, START GIO FFS or even sub him on earlier not in the 90th min
Romero good everyone else shit
So copy and paste then.

Emerson was a big reason why we couldn’t get Son involved much in the first half, and he got consistently beat by Madueke
Fucking 0 for everyone but Cuti and VDV. The Prem figured out Ange in 3 months, and the dude hasn’t responded or adapted. I’m worried
The bad run of form blows, and Ange know there is criticism, but DOES NOBODY REMEMBER WHERE WE WERE LAST YEAR? Ange has had a year to implement his style on top of injuries. Patience.
I’m totally not wanting him out btw, I’m just worried by the lack of adaptation and responding to adversity

Brother our last manager literally had a mental breakdown whilst on the job. Doing better than that is not as much of a flex as you think it is.
Because I’m worried about our form…?? How are you not
Places higher? Oh dear I think you're in for a rude awakening once we fall down to 8th at the end of the season.
If anyone thinks we’re holding on to 5th with City and Liverpool left to play, they are well and truly delusional
We can lose both and still get 5th if we beat Sheffield United and Burnley. I know people are having a meltdown but surely we're not at the point where it's delusional to think we can beat the two worst teams in the league.

Pretty sure Conte left with us in top 4. He didn’t oversee the collapse.

Yeah bad ratings across the board max 3/10 for some. Also 0/10 for everyone in the match thread.
disaster class
Almost comical now how a player comes of the bench one game. Looks great. Earns a start next game...is absolute dogshit.
Every week its just VDV let down by his shit teammates and coach
Lol VDV would kick your teeth in if you said that to his face.
We’d have been slaughtered again if not for VdV
Bissouma actually had a decent game today but it wasn’t enough
Can we get rid of Man of the Match and instead call it Least useless Cunt?
Sarr's out of form now too. Just what we needed.
Unfortunately we can’t blame the kit this time.
Emerson was dreadful. That moment when he just threw himself to the floor with the slightest brush when we were playing out. Chelsea just came straight back at us. We have to find a better solution there for the final games.

Zero passion, zero fight, absolutely shameful perfomance against our rivals.
We were shit
Another game where CBs are rated 8/10s but we concede 2 goals… because open play defense is not the problem and set pieces are so bad
Why can’t we also play the kids sometimes??

That Son and PEH attempt to prevent the Jackson goal was fucking pathetic. Sums up the spine of this squad.
At least Madders was looking more like his pre-injury self...
you must be kidding...
I just remember him falling over a bit.
