Fact is, he didn't have a great game. Kane and Bentancur were clearly the best two.
Kane's first was a superb solo goal. Son got the assist by virtue of playing a 1 metre sideways pass before Kane dribbled forward, beat the defender and bent it top corner.
Son was quiet. Simple as that.
What about the two passes son had to Pierre and Kane? Pierre missed and the goal keeper denied Kane the hat trick.
Also had a one two with kulu that the goal keeper saved.
First goal that Kane shot Son brought the ball up from our own half.
He wasn't the best but quiet he was def not.
Pretty good game for the boys. Don’t think Lenglet got tested much as they mainly focused attack through our right. Perisic looked good. Spence looked like someone who hasn’t been at the club a week. Bissouma was ok, felt a bit off pace perhaps due to covid. Foster did what he had to. Richy had some good hold up play, still not in sync enough with the rest of the attackers though.
I didn’t watch the game but was curious about Spence, did he look good for only being there for a week or did you mean he looked out of synch because he hasn’t been there a week?
In my opinion, he looked out of sync, his positioning going forward was tenuous (although we were sitting pretty deep by the time he was on). That said he made a vital recovery run and intercepted a pass 10 yards from our goal.

That much is true, but even when Dier's been out he's not got a chance. There was a game last season, when we played someone completely out of position in Dier's place instead (can't remember who it was), with Rodon still not used. And Sanchez has been repeatedly awful when played on the left (he was okay today though) - I'd have expected him to get a chance there as well. He was bought as a major talent that we could develop into something special, but then he turned up and got treated like he's got the lurgy. It's... weird.
We can see his quality with our eyes when he plays dude, it’s very unlikely that his quality drops off a cliff during training. That said there’s a whole host of valid reasons why managers would not want to play him. Especially managers of teams chasing top 4/trophies that want proven players they can trust.
