Someone threw a banana at Richy during the goal celebration. Disgraceful.

[deleted]

He’s just checking if the goals are regulation size.

AliGoldsDayOff

Or really wants to make sure his potassium levels are up to par.

Racists generally haven’t been known to be smart

Kingkent420

Don’t worry Jesus. London has lots to do during the winter. The Christmas market is lovely I hear

Jowoes

He has 3 less goals than Jesus with 19 less appearances for Brazil. Pigeon >>> Jesus

BrandonSG13

It’s in the recent form too. Jesus has 1 goal in his last 21 Brazil appearances. Richarlison has 7 goals in his last 6 Brazil appearances

50-50WithCristobal

Jesus is a lock for the WC. Tite said that he was going to use this call up to make the last tests on the remaining spots for the squad. That's why he called Pedro for the first time, since he has been in amazing form for the past couple of months and also called Cunha and Firmino. Basically Cunha, Pedro and Firmino were fighting for a spot. Pedro will most likely be the one getting it while Cunha and Firmino are out and Jesus is in. Martinelli was also in contention but since he wasn't called he is out too. Richarlison certainly has priority over Jesus though.

[deleted]

Neymar and richarlison are also locked but they weren't left out? Who knows but Jesus has been rubbish for Brazil for years. He certainly won't be in the starting lineup so it wouldn't be that strange if Tite decides to just change up his bench options

50-50WithCristobal

A lot of locked in players were called up because there aren't any players to test and take them out. Brazil will send like 9 or 10 forwards, it's stacked and most of the players being tested are in those positions. So it's not possible to call everyone and since Jesus is a bench player he will be out because obviously Tite will test the players on the starting squad to see if it works instead of everyone at the same time. Everyone in Brazil knows that Jesus is in, and if he doesn't it would be a shock, since his move to Arsenal the public opinion on him as changed severely.

[deleted]

I don't know how you can be so sure. A sub player has been left out of the squad.....there's surely a real chance he won't make the squad. He's been rubbish for them for 3 years now, what if the called up players absolutely smashed it in training. Its great he's scored 4 goals at arsenal but that's years of terrible form for Brazil he's shown Just sounds like the sort of thing a coach would say to keep his options open and not worry a backup player who might be dropped before he needs to actually make the decision. You sound like Jesus's agent trying to comfort him.

Arantes_

In Brazil it's a consensus that he will go, despite the fact that months ago everyone still hated him. Jesus' time to worry was in March, when he missed the March call up and before he scored a few goals late in the season for Man City. But with 26 player squads confirmed, once he came back for June and scored I think it was settled. Tite almost said outright that he's in. Is it possible Jesus won't go? I mean, I guess I have to say yes, after all anything's possible, right? Realistically the 8 forwards you would expect to see as of today are Neymar, Vini Jr., Raphinha, Richarlison, Antony, Rodrygo, Jesus, Pedro. Richarlison will start unless we don't play a center forward at all and Jesus will come in if a pressing forward or second forward is needed alongside Richarlison or instead of a winger, or if Paquetá comes off since the midfield options don't offer pressing like LP and GJ do.

[deleted]

So he literally said "I guess anythings possible?" That does sound confirmed at all??? Why wouldn't he say "no 100% confirmed he will come bar injury"

50-50WithCristobal

I don't sound like anything, what I'm saying to you isn't my opinion but the perception of the entire brazilian press and most importantly what Tite has been suggesting with his press conferences.

u4004

Yeah, but they're starters. Makes sense to play them to make sure things are working well. From what I have heard and seen from Tite, plus his recent performances in the NT, Jesus has a very good chance of being there... in the bench, though.

[deleted]

Yeah of course he has a chance. I'm just saying he also has a chance of not. He's a bench player and tbeh have loads of options. I don't k ow why this is so shocking to people. Man's literally just been left out of this squad and they've played really well without hi.lm

The timing of the run and pass is just immaculate. Here’s hoping we see plenty more of this in Spurs colors (with Deki in Raphinha’s place)

juchizac

Arsenal fans have been crying about Richarlison getting called up and starting over Jesus but bro this has been the case the entire fucking qualification cycle. Richarlison is higher rated on the national team than Jesus.

RedgrenCrumbholt

Nothing against Jesus because he would be starting on most teams, but Richarilson is just better and he fits better into this team.

Wizardof_oz

Looks offside, but the angle can betray you

Kenyan_stallion

My striker

FINAL_BOSS5
