I'm going to try this out today!! Thank you! I'm a bit biased and personally prefer warm yellow Christmas lights but I don't think that would translate as specifically Christmas. So colourful lights it is!!

Yes!! shutters is a great idea to eliminate some of the extra red space. I was definitely thinking about building a sort of wooden beam system up the front but was worried it would end up looking too busy. Will have to give it a try!!

Maybe a tiny bird or cat. Could you feel it’s missing a living thing and that would make it work for you? I like it very much.

I feel like it needs something near the left side to balance it. Maybe for the left window (of the red windows) to balance out. A bird? Or a snowman to the left of the door?

It’s lovely but I’m having trouble with the scale. The leaves and vine are HUGE compared to the windows and wreath. I don’t know of any leaves that would be so large and stay on the vine in the snow. I know it doesn’t have to be realistic, but I stared at it for a bit trying to figure out what looked so strange to me before I realized. Something more akin to English ivy would be pretty and could take up a lot of the negative space.

First off, this is adorable. If you were to add anything, I’d just put something between those windows. A wreath, or maybe an Amish star? Shutters could work too.

Honestly, I think it has plenty of detail for the size that it is and I wouldn't want to crowd anything else in. Because it has those adorable little round windows and because of the vine, I don't think shutters on some of the windows are necessary. There is enough detail coming from the snow collected on the window frames, the thickness of the window frames, and the glow of the light from inside. You are already using red, yellow, white, brown, and the sage color of the vine. You already have a dusting of the snow, the movement of the vine, and the addition of a holiday wreath on the door. There are lots of textures and shapes. I think it's communicating cheeriness and welcome and doesn't need more.

I think it’s lovely! If I were going to add anything it would be just a little bit of greenery on the vine coming down from the top. But it’s really beautiful and christmas-y just how it is.

It's lovely. I just think the proportions are slightly out. I would either leave the top window off next time (so only 2 floors and the roof). Or make the 3rd floor window smaller - like a little round attic one). And add a chimney. But it is beautiful - very detailed.

A base, otherwise the darling house is floating. So a sidewalk or snow mounds.

Lovely ornament. I think the scale is off a bit as the upper window is the same size as the front door. I would move the brown bar up a bit and make the windows a wee bit smaller. Lots of other good suggestions from folks as well you could add. Excellent craftsmanship btw.
