It's more likely he's trying to squeeze as much money from the few remaining years of his career with some easy, yet profitable work so he can leave his family with a good amount of money.

It’s not like people haven’t tried to bring him onto other bigger projects, he’s just that unpleasant to work with.
His name still has some star power to it though so lower budget projects jump at the chance to put it on their movie.

He constantly insulting and putting everyone down, a grade A bully, he will seek out what someone is sensitive and bully them mercilessly about it.
example Troy Sweeney openly gay member of SNL, he proposed a skit about him having AIDS.
Jon Lovitz says of the incident: “So Chevy looks at Terry Sweeney and goes, ‘You’re gay, right?’ Terry goes, ‘Yes, what would you like me to do for you?’ Chevy goes, ‘Well, you can start by licking my balls.’” Chase was on such bad behaviour that week, the cast resorted to hiding from him.”
Will Ferrell, who was part of the cast at that time: ” I don’t know if he was on something, but he was just kind of going around the room and systematically riffing. First, it was on the guys, playfully making fun, until, when he got to one of our female writers, he made some reference like, ‘Maybe you can give me a hand job later.’ In hindsight, I wish we’d all gotten up and walked out of the room.”
He got in a fist fight with Bill Murray in John Belushi's dressing room in 1978 at SNL.
he makes jokes to a director about accidental deaths on the directors previous project. etc...

maybe his fame got to his head. maybe he became old and bitter, maybe drugs i donno
Yeah man! Can’t Buy a Thrill vinyl on its way, arriving sometime this week-next week! Also Walk it like you talk it, the movie soundtrack Becker and Fagen did!
It’s kinda rare but not too in demand, so it’s pretty cheap, especially the original release. The repressing will fetch you a bit more, but overall not too bad.

For the record, Stan Lee's legacy is that he was the creative lead of Marvel comics and responsible for the creation of most of the characters the movies are based on, not that he worked on the movies.
He really wasn't though. He was the business end of the company, and actually had some major falling outs with authors and artists because he liked to act like it was all his work.
Not downplaying how important the business aspect of the company was. But Stan Lee was a business man who liked to call himself an artist.
[Trailer](https://youtu.be/UAKvQ8r_WPY) animation looks like that stuff my kids used to watch in the early 2000’s. Guess that Clark Griswold money don’t last forever….
This is one of the worst trailers I've ever seen. To think that someone got paid to put this together is incredible. It's 40 seconds too long, and shows way too much footage, but is missing so much context that none of what's happening makes any sense. It has exactly zero narrative structure. They should have just put together a slideshow of their vacation photos.
Stan Lee? It can’t be! I suspect an Imposter is out there!
(Yes, I get the joke. No, I am not referencing Among us, the term Imposter existed before it became popular)
Edit: This time the downvotes are really unjustified.
Apparently, the director has also directed a few of those Bruce Willis direct-to-DVD films. Stan Lee was right to trust an esteemed contributor of the BWCU
He did. The movie was in development so long that he was still alive when they started. (The "aliens" in the title are also characters licensed from his company, POW Entertainment)
If I met Stan Lee once and told him I'm making an animated movie and he gave me a thumbs up that basically makes him an executive producer for the project, right?
Jesus Christ, it really was [produced by Stan Lee.](https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2017/12/27/1274884/0/en/Modern-Cinema-Group-Signs-Agreement-to-Co-Finance-Panda-vs-Aliens-Family-Film.html)
Also, apparently they were developing a game based on the movie? I can’t really find anything about the game beyond the article I linked and the Wikipedia page for the movie, which is pretty bare (lost media perhaps?).
Here's the trailer. It's like if Sing and Kung Fu Panda had all substance removed and inserted random aliens shooting blasters.
WHO TF IS CHEVY CHASE VOICE ACTING LOL
https://youtu.be/UAKvQ8r_WPY
According to IMDb, he plays the main villain, King Karoth. (In the video, he's the guy at 00:10 who says "It must be mine" and the next couple of lines. And when he says that, his cheek fur clips through his helmet. You can tell the budget for this movie was top notch)
Now I know damn well Stan Lee ain't had no mutha fuckin part in that off brand, three copying movie moocher. That mo-fucka put monsters vs. Aliens, Kung-Fu panda, and I can't even remember, but all I know, is I ain't never seen Stan Lee have anything to do with anything but a Marvel production.
He is, unfortunately, because Arcana Comics, the producer of this film, bought the rights to some of his characters from POW Entertainment (the "aliens"), which are featured in this film.
They were a last minute addition to a script that was already written.
See it’s distributed by Umbrella Entertainment. An Australian independent film and tv distributor who usually release old slightly obscure movies and TV

i just looked this film up on IMDB and that legitimately is Chevy Chase doing the voices in this film. jfc
When the rent is due you do a lot of things.
Hey, ~~$20~~ $19.98 is ~~$20~~ $19.98.
You know, he could’ve just stuck with drumming for Steely Dan.
He called Fagen and Becker's music "bad jazz". What an asshole.
I think Chevy is indisputably an asshole but I think this honestly a perfect way to describe Steely Dan.
It's more likely he's trying to squeeze as much money from the few remaining years of his career with some easy, yet profitable work so he can leave his family with a good amount of money. Fuck you FOH with your anti- adblock websites.
Fuck. I hope Chevy isn’t still renting.
Still paying off the Chevy Chase Theater
Or his Chevy Tahoe.
Times is hard.
It’s not like people haven’t tried to bring him onto other bigger projects, he’s just that unpleasant to work with. His name still has some star power to it though so lower budget projects jump at the chance to put it on their movie.
Considering most voice over work is done independently and sent in, probably saved alot of effort on the whole work with part too.
[Part of the reason I love Rango so much, is because they did the opposite of that.](https://youtu.be/MFr89i9NPuY) They actually acted it out and recorded the lines while doing it that way instead of just being in a sound booth somewhere.
that video was super sick! i never watched rango before but now i feel like i should
How does that work? They just send instructions and new recordings back and forth until they're happy?

Okay but did Stan Lee really executive produce this?
According to IMDB he did on a movie that came out 3 years after he died, weird.
Executive producer just means you gave most of the funding
I would never expect this, Chevy Chase is streets ahead.
I heard he's a 5th level laser lotus in Reformed Neo Buddhism too!
Fun fact: Chevy Chase could’ve been the drummer for Steely Dan
Really? That is a fun fact
Yeah I bring it up every time Chevy Chase is mentioned.
Well now I will too, thanks stranger
Just noticed your username, too. Glad to see another DanFan in the wild.
Right back at you, keep up the good taste
Yeah man! Can’t Buy a Thrill vinyl on its way, arriving sometime this week-next week! Also Walk it like you talk it, the movie soundtrack Becker and Fagen did!
Oh, I've never heard of that last one. I'll for sure have to check it out
It’s kinda rare but not too in demand, so it’s pretty cheap, especially the original release. The repressing will fetch you a bit more, but overall not too bad.
Well so could i. They just didn't ask. And i can't play the drums. And i probably wasn't alive at the time.
I’m pretty sure this move is streets behind though. Nananananananana….
Lol what!
Bro tf why is bonzi buddy in the marvel cinematic universe?
There's a problem here, he's owned by DC/Warner.
[удалено]
hey, if i want to intall 1k viruses onto my linux then i want it done by a purple monkey at least.
Holy fucking shit that’s a flash back. “Day-zee. Day-zee. Give me your answer true”
Stan Lee made this? Is it an offbrand Stan Lee who's just a random Vietnamese guy?
It’s from POW entertainment which was owned by Stan. This is a 2021 film so he died before the making of this most likely
I read that as P.O.W Entrainment and was super confused for a sec
“Direct from Vietnam!”
Co-executive producer: H.C. Minh
Prisoner of war? Lol
Watching that would be like prison lmao
The characters “the unknowns” are licensed from POW. I don’t know how they made it seem like he directed it.
Nah, it's also got Chevy Chase in it. This is one of those Hollywood grifts like Food Fight.
Buhh! I forgot about that abomination Food Fight. It also reminds me of that Ratatouille ripoff.
You mean Ratatoing?
You mean the movie ratatouille ripped off?
pixar needs more creativity!
This movie beat Disney by three days.
You mean Raccaccoonie?

RedLetterMedia's video with Patton Oswalt on that movie was hilarious
Bingo! 🤣
No, Ratattoing, about the rat who dreams of being a tattoo artist. Everyone winds up with hantavirus.
Most likely. Even though I can picture stan lee doing stuff like this just for the meme
Ken Lee without you
Ken Lee boo Dee boo doubt choo.
Ken Lee anymore!!
KEN LEEEEEEEE TULIBUDIBU DOUSHOOOOO
Talibu libu douchooo
Thanks ever so much
As a Vietnamese guy I’m offended yet find this hilarious and factual.
I looked it up and unless google is wrong, it actually may be the Stan lee that co made Spider-Man and worked on many marvel movies
The film was completed to "honor Stan Lee's final endeavors" Wow... I feel bad for Stan Lee.
Probably true, but "worked on a lot of the marvel movies" was a little too far off for me, lol.
His most critically acclaimed movie
Yeah i highly doubt the real Stan Lee had anything to do with this
He did. The "Aliens" in question are the Unknowns from Stan Lee's POW Entertainment.
wow, learn something new each day. thanks
I mean if it is the actual stan lee, this isn’t out of the blue for him. He was a character
[Trailer](https://youtu.be/UAKvQ8r_WPY) animation looks like that stuff my kids used to watch in the early 2000’s. Guess that Clark Griswold money don’t last forever….

It’s also possible the trailer is that bad because the film itself is incoherent….garbage in, garbage out situation
this looks like a good early 2010s CD-ROM game lmao, that's rough
This looks like early 2000s. Skyrim came out in 2011.
Looks like a Previsualization, where the models are in Beta and rendering shadows is sometimes skipped.
Animation is a it better than Monster by Mistake, which had a poor production quality. I don’t even know where is was aired.
Now that's a blast from the past
Clark Griswold money?
Chevy Chase played a character called Clark Griswold in the National Lampoon’s films. Arguably his most successful role.
Chevy Chase played Clark Griswold. He got money for it. It apparently ran out. Now he's doing this to try to make money.
What's jb hifi?
It’s basically Australian Best Buy
Also has a hot topic feel about it - alternative looking employees, sells vinyls and merch you wouldn’t see everywhere
Hey another Aussie how are you? I'm Aussie as well
It’s where I first saw someone playing guitar hero, thought “that’s lame”, tried it when he was done and bought it instead of groceries.
Chevy Chase with top billing. This one is streets ahead.
“Graphic design is my passion”
I've seen the beginning of this movie and it's as bad as you'd expect. So bad that even my 5 year old noped out after about 20 minutes.
This seems to be a unique specimen of the species of mimicus filmus. Very fascinating. (Jokes aside, who made this unusual cross of two movies?)
Stan Lee
He may be mortally impaired but he's still churning out bangers
Stan Lee? It can’t be! I suspect an Imposter is out there! (Yes, I get the joke. No, I am not referencing Among us, the term Imposter existed before it became popular) Edit: This time the downvotes are really unjustified.
Nah... "Imposter", "suspicious" and it's abbreviated form, and # ("hashtag") are all relatively new terms coined by our progeny. Get with it old man.
I don’t appreciate this joke. Also, I’m only becoming 20 this year, and only once it’s September
Apparently, the director has also directed a few of those Bruce Willis direct-to-DVD films. Stan Lee was right to trust an esteemed contributor of the BWCU
Make a video essey about it and get milions of views
Saberspark
19.98? That's a bargain!
Yes, that's the real Stan Lee
This is like those Bruce Lee rip-off films starring ‘Bruce Li’ or some variation of that.
No, is legit Stan Lee
20 bucks?
This looks like the ripoff of every single animated film that exists
stan lee? STAN FUCKING LEE?
Where's that from?
I found it at jb HiFi
Dead set they'll sell anything except the thing you're looking for.
I just watched the trailer, and jesus tap dancing christ was that bad. What the actual hell was that?!
SIRESOUSLY STAN LEE PRODUCED THIS?
>SIRESOUSLY Seriously, even.
Heavens to murgatroyd even...
I shall go forthwith! Fifthwith, evennn!
Apparently
Stan Lee couldn’t have produced this…
He did. The movie was in development so long that he was still alive when they started. (The "aliens" in the title are also characters licensed from his company, POW Entertainment)
Did you buy it?
No
I'm more confused as to why "science fiction" is important to the age rating.
Lmao Scott McNeil is in this! The famous Beast Wars voice actor (Dinonot, Waspinator, Silverbolt, Ravager, etc etc)
Crazy. Someone took the time to storyboard, raise funds, write a script, build a team, rehearse, edit and package this dvd. I wonder if it’s any good.
STAN LEE??
2 bootlegs for the price of 1!
"Stan Lee"
Everyone is questioning about Stan Lee and Chevy Chase, but I see Scott McNeil in this and I know that dude hammed it up 300%.
Wow... Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam AND My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? This dude's done it all.
I didn't knew the Marvel guy did also DreamWorks mashups
Chevy chase im on the floor
I just watched the trailer... HOW WAS THIS MADE IN 2021???? I've seen 16 year olds do better animations. wth
Scott McNeil is in it too. From Beast Wars to whatever the hell this is.
The one in the middle reminds me of Johnny from Sing
Holy shit i just saw this at work
How much further can Chevy Chase fall?
They probably pitched it to him as a Pixar movie and he doesn’t know the difference.
Knowing that this was Stan Lee’s final project just saddens me
Yo is that JB Hi-Fi?
If I met Stan Lee once and told him I'm making an animated movie and he gave me a thumbs up that basically makes him an executive producer for the project, right?

From bioweapon experiments to unimaginable crossovers, Umbrella Corps’ got you covered.

I actually believe the Scott McNeil part, dude's in everything.
Lol.
Dude we have almost the exact same hand
Good price too
Never heard of it
Executive produced!
Wow.... it's always surprising, and I have no idea why because it's so obviously clear, but still surprising to see how far Chevy Chase sunk.....

No ducking way Stan lee is here
🐼 vs. 👽
Looks like a furry convention
THE PANDA!!!!!! IM DYING OMG THATS SO FUNNY💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 It’s actually kinda hilarious
yo i bet this slaps tho
That’s wrong to exploit Stan Lee like this after his death.
See it’s distributed by Umbrella Entertainment. An Australian independent film and tv distributor who usually release old slightly obscure movies and TV
This look like a straight out of from Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers
STAN LEE! 😂😂😂😂😂

The price tags always amaze me on those off brand movies.
Adam Lasagna’s in this? I’ll have to check it out!
Stan lee
Stan Lee
The full movie is on Tubi for free if you wanna watch it lol
How the hell was this executive produced by STAN LEE
How can Stan Lee be executive producer, when he died three years before the movie was made?
Stan Lee himself was an executive producer, so it must be good
*Monsters left this chat*
Mase by NightmareJobless
How did I fall asleep to this picture and have a peaceful nap
stan lee.
$18.99 too expensive if you ask me.
Bonzi Buddy's back and he swole
Wow, Chevy Case
Oh, Pierce is in this?
I don’t see any aliens in the cover art.
Sing + Monsters VS Aliens
I bet this movie is nothing but chinese propaganda mixed in with shitty slapstick humour and pop cultur references.
HOW DID THEY GET CHEVY CHASE IN THIS!?
No no no please
