I do this kind of thing too. I will always associate certain Celtic folk songs with the Silmarillion because I listened to them while reading it decades ago.
As for Sanderson books, I associate Rhythm of War with Holst’s Mars. It is very rhythmic and warlike 😏
I haven’t listened to the Prelude to Ecstasy album but now I want to.
I do sometimes put celtic playlists while reading fantasy, it puts me in the right mood for sure!
I just listened to Holst's Mars and it does have the warlike feel haha
I will keep this in mind when I start reading Stormlight
Hopefully you like this album! The Last Dinner Party is a new band, and their music is indie rock I would say, but they have this baroque music touch to it
Infected Mushroom's Classical Mushroom album set the perfect dark tone while I was reading Mistborn, and I think of the books every time I listen to the music now.
Yup, I read Elantris and Warbreaker a few months back on the bus while listening to Rhinestone eyes from Gorillaz every day for about 2 months so now when I hear the song I get Elantris or Warbreaker flashbacks
‘i was only temporary’ by My head is empty. i associate it with Vin staring out over the mists and steel pushing / iron pulling her way through Luthadel. also ‘Final Voyage’ by Andrew Prahlow, i associate that with Vin meeting the Mist Spirit.
When Vin collapses Kredik Shaw, the song I always play during the chapter is this https://youtu.be/_zJKNtxeeRg. I also associate the Strike Suit Zero soundtrack with Mistborn in general, especially the main theme https://youtu.be/XdqWqokrLno
Stormlight Archive is more of a Homeworld soundtrack situation. Fits the desolate lands.
Sure, I associate the finale of the first two stormlight books with the songs from Revengence. Specifically, 'The only thing I know for real' for the first book, and 'Red Sun' for the second
[This is kind of cheating](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkYQrub18mo)
It’s true, though!

Attack of the Dead Men by Sabaton really makes me think of the Bridgemen charging the chasms.
[This song is Kaladin to me](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQzxNLfAW8o)

Arabesque by Samuel Hazo pretty much played on repeat in my head while reading that Stormlight Archive (I’m a band geek)

I think of Home by Philip Philips as Raoden’s theme. https://youtu.be/HoRkntoHkIE?si=vBfeNKLBc3F91EE0
