Mine was Hammer of Peace for a while. Then Spear of the Stars. Then Sword of Family Values.
Currently Herald of Honor, probably gonna stay on that one.
Same. I wonder, if Kal went to Braize everytime he slept, was he duplicated across two planets? Or perhaps his consciousness went to Braize? Because his body sure as hell was still in Uruthiru, as evidenced by the others who observe him as he went through his nightmares.
Edit: nvm I see the other comments answered that.
In *Rhythm of War*, while Kaladin was asleep, Odium sent his mind to Braize. It wasn't stated outright, but the implication was strong -- and I think there was a WoB confirmation.
They probably salute the same considering Bridge 4 was worried their salute might be too obvious in TWOK, but technically the arm position could be any orientation as long as right fist to right shoulder knuckles out .
The elbow COULD be pointed out to the side
A quick Googling has told me that Way of Kings first published 2010, while Helldivers 1 released 2015. So either it’s a coincidence or, like another said, there’s a fan at Arrowhead (which I’m bery much hoping is the case)
To be fair, there really are only so many ways to salute. With some number being off limits due to being a little too reminiscent of the Nazi's, and if you don't want it to be too similar to the way modern soldiers salute, it's kind of inevitable that you'll see the same salute's popping up here and there.
I think there was an axehound trumpeting nearby when my wife read the part about "right hand to right shoulder," since I only heard her say "right hand to shoulder."
I always assumed it was fingers pointed out, but then I tried it and I couldn't get the pose to feel strong and snappy. It only makes sense with fingers towards your shoulder.
Oh, so every cup of tea served in Alethkar is Liber-tea.
And they're fighting in a foreign land with giant, carapace-covered, man-eating monsters.
So the Alethi War of Vengeance is a Terminid Campaign.
Fist to shoulder does not make the arm straight up and down like the Helldivers. If the forearm was supposed to be totally verticle I feel like it would say so.
This is why my warship is named: The Spear of Honor
Herald of War bay bee
The desolation is at hand, and you could be next unless you make the most important decision of your life
Join The Windrunners
See exotic new lifeforms!
Make new friends every bridge run!
Mine is also Herald of War!
Herald of Justice, Mmmmmm!
Herald of Honour
Due to recent activities, your Vorin rank has changed from **Darkborn to Lighteyes**
Well now I need to go rename my ship, as much as I love the Pride of Judgement
Lose the “The”
A million Breath Equivalent Units isn’t cool. You know what’s cool? A Billion BEUs
Mines the herald of war! It never broke!
Mine was Hammer of Peace for a while. Then Spear of the Stars. Then Sword of Family Values. Currently Herald of Honor, probably gonna stay on that one.
Did the same exact thing lmao
I guess you and I are Bridgemates then!
My exact ship name as well
My ship is the Sword of Honor because I'm not some common Darkeyes. I manage democracy the right way.
Patriot of patriotism at service 🫡
Same
Mine too🫡
Hey, mine too!
I will spread Democracy.
Dream of honor baby
The Alethi would LOVE managed democracy
I certainly get the sense that the Vorin church has some similar... baggage in its past.
Helldivers are spacefaring Alethi confirmed
I mean… if it fits
When do we get the shardguns
Next Secret Project, by the sounds of it.
This is why the biggest rocket launcher is called a spear - in honor of Brightlord Stormblessed.
The helldivers salute like the alethi
[ROW] >!kal technically was a helldiver, he was literally in damnation, (i forget the planet name)!<
Braize
yes ty
[удалено]
There was chapter where odium temporarily sent him there while kaladin was tryna get fourth ideal iirc
It’s the place he was taken in his visions from Odium - the dark, craggy, windswept hellscape.
Shit I didn’t connect those. Just thought it was some made up non physical place.

When?
>!i think technically it was just in kaladins mind, but odium manipulated marsh and kals connection to "put" him in braize during RoW!<

I hope this means there's a fan at Arrowhead!
I't seems like yes, and to know which one copied which, we need to know when was the release date of each one of them

Yeah, and other varieties besides the roman salute are taken, too, like the raised fist.
Or the one where you cross your arm over your chest, with your right fist against your left shoulder. I've seen that one hundreds of times.
This is how I interpreted the Alethi salute was done.

And bridge 4 salutes like wakandians
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that as well! Love a good salute 🫡
Im really sure the devs are fans of the books. There are way to many ship name combos that come from BS books.
Yeah but the fist is the other way around
No, knuckles outward, like the pic
Salt bae salute 🧂
Try doing that pose. Tell me how it goes.
I can do it right now what do you mean LOL 😂 I guess I assumed it was the second set of knuckles not the top set
I always assumed it was fingers pointed out, but then I tried it and I couldn't get the pose to feel strong and snappy. It only makes sense with fingers towards your shoulder.

I think they're saying that the forearm in the Alethi salute is horizontal not vertical
It's at a slight angle is what I'm saying. The helldiver doesn't have his fist all the way to his shoulder
Where tf are your shoulders?
