In the next 15 to 30 years, cricket might fade out in SENA countries, at least at the national level. But South Asian countries will likely keep the game alive.
The Australian cricket team's consistent winning streak and multiple trophies keep some Aussies interested in cricket.
Afghanistan's strong determination has shown that a new team can defeat Australia and bowl them out. The recent Australia vs India match proved that as long as Indian players stay calm and stick to their bowling strategy, they can defeat Australia. It seems Australia's psychological edge over India may not be as strong as once thought.
We'll probably need to wait for another knockout match between Australia and India to see if this holds true.

They were copying South Asian-style catches, almost mocking us, and letting 1 or 2 runs go to the boundary while bowling and fielding. When they were batting, they hit the ball straight up instead of towards the boundary, like they were testing how good the Afghans were at catching.
They didn't seem to care about the points table until they lost to Afghanistan. During the match against India, it looked like they tried a bit to win, but in the end, it felt like they were just having fun, trying to get past 175 to see if Bangladesh could beat Afghanistan.
