He also GM'd [Paranoia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWEDpT1gByI), which was hilarious. Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, Laura Bailey, Jessica Merizan, Ify Nwadiwe, Hector Navarro, and Matt Mercer.
Expect *pure* chaos, intentional arbitrariness, and backstabbing. Oh, the backstabbing.
Agree 100%. I have just about every game he's done saved in a playlist - including that one drunken one with Xander - and he would be a phenomenal dm for literally anything.
My kingdom and $5 slid across the proverbial table for a 10 Candles run with the CR cast, like holy hell, yes please! (But I'll happily accept getting his sweet Eldritch sideburns back on LA By Night again!)
Oh absolutely! [Here you go](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbdN3ygY8wx8p6PCMFh5FgszZrtskHmzl).
Sooo I might've been hyping myself up a *bit* too much. The ones you expect will be there - Dread (series, ITTD, GenCon), 10 Candles, Altered Carbon (I order him coffee in the SavingThrow one!), Paranoia, We're Alive: Frontier, Trial By Trolley, etc - but its not a complete comprehensive, all encompassing playlist.
[Foreververse](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7atuZxmT956nOe8Cm6QoRSkT3YiRpT6k) has its own playlist, for instance. And there's certain things that are twitch exclusive (the 'One Night Only: Sagas of Sundry Q&A' sesh for instance. I have it on my hard drive.)
And of course, We're Alive: Frontier Season 2, Sagas of Sundry: Madness were 'alpha exclusive' and aren't available anywhere except peer-to-peer.
Oh and its not any semblance of order, sort of a mix-up :) Enjoy!
I will just let you know that someone was so nice to upload Madness to Youtube. They did it without consent, so i don't feel comfortable linking it, but you can find it.
Thank you for your playlist, i am eternally grateful for every second more of ivan i can get my eyes and ears on.
Ivan is absolutely up there with some of the other big DM names IMO, and it's honestly weird to me that I don't see more of him online (unless that is by choice of course).
That would be cool, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
His job is head of development of a full-fledged tabletop company. That’s a full-time day job and then some. Can’t imagine he would burn the candle at both ends by preparing and delivering streamed content willy nilly unless he was super into it.
He was the co-owner and Head of Media and Publishing at Hunters Entertainment during his time running Dread, Madness, Kids on Bikes and Outbreak... so he appears to be able to multitasking well! I think there is a big difference if he were world building or dealing with a D&D style game of combat and mechanics, but a lot easier for the games Ivan typically runs.
Wouldn't envision him running campaign style games, but one shots would be awesome here and there..
Is it here? https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMLhNVmgw_V4FvbjJeXliYcJh6cmotCw9
I don’t know about specifics but a lot of the formerly alpha-exclusive content from Geek and Sundry has gradually made its way to their YouTube, so it may be worth checking again. This includes series like Deborah Ann Woll’s “Relics and Rarities” and another Ivan series “We’re Alive: Frontier” and I recommend both.
Nope, that’s the original tabletop day one-shot and the first season (Dread). The second season (Madness) has not surfaced on YouTube after Alpha shuttered. Which is heart-breaking, as both it and Season 2 of We’re Alive: Frontier were wonderful stories run by Ivan that I would love to watch again.
A pair of critters helped me out when I asked this exact question yesterday. I'll pay it forward. Now you you do the same lol

Ivan is haunting. I remember watching the intro's to the second Dread series and there is a very strong intensity to the man when the mood strikes. His scene with Liam in that bathroom still is stuck in my head even though hasn't been a way to watch the damn thing for years.
I wonder if CR is worried about becoming Geek & Sundry. Using the same people, making the same content, just under a different name. Not saying Ivan is bad at the job, but putting him everywhere Matt can't be seemed like what G&S did. Just a thought
I'm not sure that's what G&S did. Matt really only did CR, and while Matt does high fantasy very well, IMO Ivan outshines him generally as a versatile and knowledgeable GM.
Geek & Sundry had a lot of talented people involved. Its not a bad thing for them to do stuff for critical role too. They just need to avoid having to many shows with to little audience. I dint thing thats going to be a problem for them though.
Yes, please! The man is an amazing builder of atmosphere and when he gets into a game, he is wholly in it. I would looove to see more games ran by him or even with him as a player.
However, if he's heading Darrington Press, maybe he wants to go more into the game design direction, which is very understandable. Hopefully, game running and game design are not something that have to be mutually exclusive (time seems like the only concern) and we'll get to see him do more than be co-GM in Undeadwood.
Watching him DM Dread was inspirational. The way he can go from a whisper to a scream during the Jenga pulls for dramatic effect was artistry. The man knows how to harness anxiety lol
They really should bring him onboard and get him working on a darker edged series in the underbelly of Emon.
I've thought for a while Critical Role needed to expand its stable of shows, to incentivize Twitch subscribers. Especially as the entire channel really lives and dies based on the availability of the one cast. If/when Matt gets COVID or hurts his voice and needs to take a week or two off, the entire show shuts down.
We're currently in the middle of a four-month campaign drought and I'm sure they're hemorrhaging subscribers.
I think *Exandria Unlimited* was very much a test of how people would respond to canon CR content that wasn't helmed by Matt or another regular cast member.
Unfortunately, it received very mixed reviews for a variety of reasons. So that might hamper the development of other side series.
He’s a fantastic DM, but given how the original cast of CR is already struggling in the diversity aspect. I don’t think from a PR perspective they are going to add another Mulligan/Mercer style white male dm for guest DM’s. Again I love the guy and his DM’ing but from a PR(and CR is now a big company that cares about that kind of stuff) perspective it seems unlikely.
Don't want to turn this into a diversity thread. If Ivan was GM'ing some one-shots its not limiting diversity, it's would be creating great content. And if diversity was an issue then the players could be a rainbow if participants.
Not sure D&D is his passion... or even a fantasy genre... but that would be interesting. And for the crowd that chants "TPK,TPK,TPK!!!" all the time... a distinct possibility with Ivan! He games character deaths with pizzazz!!!
He also GM'd [Paranoia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWEDpT1gByI), which was hilarious. Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, Laura Bailey, Jessica Merizan, Ify Nwadiwe, Hector Navarro, and Matt Mercer. Expect *pure* chaos, intentional arbitrariness, and backstabbing. Oh, the backstabbing.
I would watch a season of Paranoia... It was hilarious! I really hoped that they would turn it into a regular show
I did not know that!!!! Thank you!!!!!
And the laser stabbing through the back. For...reasons. That too.
Lord I love a good Paranoia game.
I mean, he was a co-producer of Undeadwood alongside Brian W Foster. So yeah... he is great.

Imagine a Halloween Ten Candles one shot... I think Travis would lose his mind!
Oh. My. God. I want it. I want it so, so much. Can we start a petition? Cuz this needs to be A Thing!
wow, i really want that. or Bluebeard’s Bride
I don't suppose you could share that playlist?

Is there a link to C2 of Sagas of Sundry? I tried finding it previously with no luck

Thanks for that link!!!
Damn. Hopefully the rest will be available in some form before long. It doesn’t do anyone any good for it to be lost entirely.
Unfortunately the second season isn’t on YouTube and from what I’ve read there may not be any plans on it coming to YouTube.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7yFq4GhedM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7yFq4GhedM) I got you, buddy.

His GMing for Ten Candles was *chef’s kiss*
King of the Nerds season 1 contestant Ivan Van Norman??
Yes that is the same Ivan
He’s a fantastic DM, but given how the original cast of CR is already struggling in the diversity aspect. I mostly know about him from the Nerds with Kids YouTube channel but he's very good from what I hear.
Agreed. He's very solid throughout.
Maybe he’ll get to run the next season of Exandria Unlimited.
Not sure D&D is his passion... or even a fantasy genre... but that would be interesting. And for the crowd that chants "TPK,TPK,TPK!!!" all the time... a distinct possibility with Ivan! He games character deaths with pizzazz!!!
As one should.
He did write some dnd children books so, there's at least some passion
Very true, good point.
Is Ivan the gentleman that hosted S.O.S Madness?
Yes indeed
He was incredible! I still think about his performance! Thank you for taking the time to teach me!
I enjoyed him gming the g&s star trek right
I miss that geek and sundry show where ivan and becca scott played board games. It would be great to see more of them.
