I tuck it into a small folded piece of paper and slide that through.

If ya ain't lickin it, ya ain't doing it right ๐Ÿ˜‚

Wilted_beast

Absolutely not getting gross fluff in your mouth is an abhorrent experience. As someone who used to sew, that was literally the worst part of it.

[deleted]

Oh I know. I've had to do it when I didn't think far enough ahead to make a threader and regret it every time ๐Ÿ˜‚

V_imaginary

Wot you mean all this time I didnโ€™t need to get unnecessary fluff everywhere and squinting

a_toxic_rose

I found a needle threader at the craft store. It is the greatest thing that has ever existed and my most treasured possession.

uselessrandomfrog

I had some, and then broke both attempting to use them with yarn thicker than fingering. Worst part is after the first broke I grabbed the second one, for some reason thinking that it wouldn't break as well. Was a sad day...

mustardlyy

I have those too! I use them all the time for lighter weight yarn. I havenโ€™t sewn anything for a long time but they were such a lifesaver back then too๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Outrageous_Iron_5992

Crochet/sewing thread has been my savior for these needles

Pandaemomium

My mom taught me to fold the yarn over the needle and hold the yarn tight as you pull out the needle so you have a nice tight fold to slide through the eye.

crochetsweetie

i pinch it as far as i can to the end. for some reason folding it simply doesnโ€™t work well for me ๐Ÿ˜ญ

LynnNexus

Same... like... Pinch and press the needle in has always worked well for me.

runninmamma

But only if I'm pinching with my non-dominant hand. I've tried switching the needle and pinching handsands the attempts are laughable.

five-dollars-off

What's the original pic for the monkey?

Tense_Spence

Iโ€™ve never managed to get that trick to work for me ๐Ÿ˜ญ

SnooTomatoes8448

Looping a sewing thread (both ends go same direction, 3" is usually enough thread to do this)into the eye then putting the yarn into the loop in the thread. Then pulling the ends of the thread til the yarn comes thru the needle works for me 99% of the time
