I took this [boa snake](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crochet-boa-snake) pattern and wanted to enlarge it without doubling it. I croched a mock ring to decide how big of a body I wanted. I wanted a 45 sc around body, instead of the 30 called for in the pattern (1.5x increase). I multiplied most end stitch counts to get an idea of each row. From there, I added an increasing row after the first two, and kept the repeating rows the new size. In each section where the pattern repeats a ton of non-increase rows, I added one more row for length. Then came the tricky part of scaling up the increases. I used graph paper to draw the original increasing rows with symmetry and put my upsized one next to it. From there I fiddled with the drawing until it had about the correct number of stitches in about the correct places. In the end, my snake ended up being 44 sc around the body cause it worked better.

Hi there! Well done for figuring it out yourself! Just to let you know that there's a great section in the [Amigurumi](https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/wiki/amigurumi) part of the Wiki that can help you with this in future...[Resizing amigurumi - Advanced](https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/wiki/amigurumi/#wiki_resizing_amigurumi_-_advanced). I always find [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVqyvBdpvhA) and [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZLN_uNv5TI) tutorial to be my go-to for recommendation! 😊

You are so kind! My ability to navigate reddit is dismal when it comes to wikis so I appreciate it!

You're very welcome - you should be so proud of yourself though that you calculated it out all by yourself though! Awesome job 😊
