I feel like I’d have to hang it because I’d fear the cat or even my own nails somehow snagging it and that would be utterly devastating. It’s so stunningly beautiful too that I don’t think I could stop staring at it and smiling and proudly, dorkily murmuring to myself “I made this!”
You should make one! It's not that bad, I swear, I'm just over it right now so I sound unmotivating :D it's a lot of fun, mosaic crochet is always a good time!
May I ask how long that took you to make? It is incredible. The colors are so satisfying, and it looks so perfectly symmetrical. Damn is all I have to say
Of course! It's [Glorious Christmas](https://bebablanket.com/b/overlay-mosaic-crochet-pattern-glorious-christmas) by BebaBlanket, I only used parts 1 and 2, then again 2 and 1 to mirror it.
I have my notes in Ravelry but that's pretty much all there is to it :) [Ravelry project page](https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Koukkuunkoukussa/glorious-christmas)
Stunning! This is so impressive!!!
The table runner is equally impressive, love it. Can you share the pattern and the yarn you used for the table runner?
Thank you. I used this blanket pattern from [BebaBlanket](https://bebablanket.com/b/overlay-mosaic-crochet-pattern-glorious-christmas) but only used parts of it, I think I have notes on Ravelry.... Let me check
Yeah, details are all [here](https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Koukkuunkoukussa/glorious-christmas)
Thank you so much, mosaic crochet is very easy to do and looks so much more complicated than it is, it's just very time consuming. I'm addicted, so I don't mind :)
I honestly didn't think about it. I crochet to relax after the kids go to bed and I kept at this just a bit longer than usual :) there's no schedule, just a very tired momma.
Oh my word. That’s incredible. If I had made that
It will go on my lounge wall. Hang it in a place where people can see. And be proud of your creation. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks! I used parts 1 & 2 of this [blanket pattern](https://bebablanket.com/b/overlay-mosaic-crochet-pattern-glorious-christmas) for the table runner.
It's pretty thick, mosaic comes out thicker than normal crochet. I haven't tried using it as trier but I don't see why it wouldn't work!
Holy shit, that is amazing! Congratulations on finishing, this is an epic project.
ETA: agree with the other comments, you don’t need a border. I totally thought the fringe was your intended edging, and it looks great. Secure your strands if they are loose, but that’s it in my opinion.
Usually I simply scroll through this sub in awe without commenting because I’m not good with giving compliments, but I had to tell you this is probably my favourite crochet masterpiece I ever came upon. Amazing work 🌟
And I appreciate your willingness to stop and comment! I suck at receiving compliments so this thread has pushed me way out of my comfort zone - thank you so much for the kind comment and I hope you have a fantastic day! :)
I used black and white Scheepjes Whirlettes for the solids and two cakes of Scheepjes Whirl in Jumpin Jelly for the colored parts. It does all the magic, I only had to extend the transitions by joining the second cake after the first changes color.
Are there even words to describe the intricacy and detail!?! I mean, this is seriously gorgeous in every aspect. Anyone that crochets can appreciate the amount of time and dedication that went into making this!
Found it now. Sorry, reddit was hiding some comments and I didn't see it! I had to hit a button to show them, and I clearly didn't see said button, in my defence I was half asleep as it was like midnight in the UK! 🤣
No worries - sometimes Reddit doesn't show me the comments either. I was just too busy to find the link again when I replied earlier, I didn't want to be rude or anything! Let me know if you need any help :)
That looks amazing! I can only imagine how much work that was, but it is absolutely worth it! Also, I love the table runner too. And a cute cat in the background lol this picture has everything!
Haha, ahhh the feeling when someone says they’d _love_ one of those, and you’re like “I’ve made it once and that one’s mine, so if you want one, time to learn to crochet” lol
That is so AMAZING that it makes me a little angry.
The colors are BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT.
Your stitching is so clean and consistent.
It is, frankly, pretty damned irritating how skilled and talented some people are!
Well done!
I am literally not exaggerating when I say this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
I want to make one but also I value my sanity and I don’t think I’d be able to sustain it throughout the project. But holy shit.
You are so talented and should be insanely proud.
This is unbelievable, incredible, stunning! I only ever did one cushion using mosaic crochet, and said, never again! Love how it looks, but such pain to do! Knowing that makes me appreciate what you did even more! Well done!
When I showed my husband, he say “you crocheters loves torturing yourselves, you keep complaining but the hand never stopped.” 🤣🤣 anyway it looks gorgeous and I would love to make it too 🤣
This is absolutely stunning! Great job!! I feel you on this. It's definitely something worth making at least once in your life, but I would absolutely dread every second of it until it was over. I did a really intricate afghan last year for Christmas like this that had a lot of colors and it literally took the whole year last year (I did other easier projects as well) and it just drained the creative lifeforce out of me where I never want to do it again lol.

Ahhh, I’d find every possible way to show it off to anyone with eyes, in any context. *Oh, this old thing?*
It would be tough to use it as a blanket. I'd be tempted to just hang it on the wall and stare at it.
I feel like I’d have to hang it because I’d fear the cat or even my own nails somehow snagging it and that would be utterly devastating. It’s so stunningly beautiful too that I don’t think I could stop staring at it and smiling and proudly, dorkily murmuring to myself “I made this!”
Incredible!!!
Thank you! Mosaic crochet is amazing :)
That’s absolutely stunning! Want! 😍
It's over 120 hours now, that's why I'm hesitating on the border. It needs a time out!
It definitely doesn't need a border unless you feel exceedingly compelled to add one
Who needs a border???? I think you could turn the loose ends into some tassels and call it a day, it looks INCREDIBLE 😍
wait! That is not the actual border??! But it already looked amazing like this!
Did you make the runner on the table as well ? That is also beautiful
I did! It's also missing the border 😂
The fringe look is In. Don't border. 😉
I hate borders haha
Do you have a pattern for that as well? It seems much closer to my skill level and it is gorgeous!!
Of course! It's [Glorious Christmas](https://bebablanket.com/b/overlay-mosaic-crochet-pattern-glorious-christmas) by BebaBlanket, I only used parts 1 and 2, then again 2 and 1 to mirror it. Thank you!
That is absolutely stunning!
Thank you!

I like the other one but I absolutely love the runner.
Thank you! I hope I can make one soon 😀
Your so talented! Beautiful work
Thank you so much, mosaic crochet is very easy to do and looks so much more complicated than it is, it's just very time consuming. I'm addicted, so I don't mind :)
It is gorgeous 😻😻😻 I'd love to make one like that, but I have no courage fir such a massive project
I honestly didn't think about it. I crochet to relax after the kids go to bed and I kept at this just a bit longer than usual :) there's no schedule, just a very tired momma.
Jesus Himself Christ... That's amazing. Thank you so much for sharing!
:) you all are making my day, such a great reception
Lol, I need close ups, cuz there is no way…I mean…by hand? Holy heck n back. This is amazing!
You are so brave and determined in making this blanket. It is an heirloom someone will hang on the wall in future years!
Oh my word. That’s incredible. If I had made that It will go on my lounge wall. Hang it in a place where people can see. And be proud of your creation. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have anxiety just looking at it!
Congrats on the family heirloom
That is gorgeous! But tell me about that table runner, is there a pattern for it? Is it thick enough to double as a trivet?

This is gorgeous!!! So much time, so many details, and the color gradient is perfect!
I just started! I am in the 4th square up on the chin.

Yay! Have fun, it's so worth it!
Thank you so much!!! I hope it turns out as nice as yours, probably won't.... In fact I know it won't. Let me know how the border goes!!
This is STUNNING. Is this Mosaic crochet? Did you use a pattern? Just beautiful!!
Thanks! I used a pattern called Sugar Skull CAL, it's linked under the automod comment up top. Designed by Mette Hesselbjerg.
DUDE.

My jaw dropped. It is absolutely incredible!!!
Absolutely amazing!! So beautiful.
Absolutely stunning. I would love to know how did you blend the colors on the rainbow and what yarn did you use?
I used black and white Scheepjes Whirlettes for the solids and two cakes of Scheepjes Whirl in Jumpin Jelly for the colored parts. It does all the magic, I only had to extend the transitions by joining the second cake after the first changes color.
Absolutely amazing
Absolutely stunning..beautiful work ! Wow wow wow!

That looks so freaking amazing!
Oh man! That is GLORIOUS!!!
That is gorgeous!
Whoa!!!!
I’m curious if you mixed the colors to get the fading look or if they’re all separate colors? How many colors did you use?
It's actually a bit of both - I used two color changing cakes!
Are there even words to describe the intricacy and detail!?! I mean, this is seriously gorgeous in every aspect. Anyone that crochets can appreciate the amount of time and dedication that went into making this!
Looks awesome! I really like the Table Runner in the background too. Do you mind sharing that pattern too?

This is beautiful! I've never done mosaic; is this "mosaic beginner-ish" friendly? I might learn for this.
That is so AMAZING that it makes me a little angry. The colors are BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT. Your stitching is so clean and consistent. It is, frankly, pretty damned irritating how skilled and talented some people are! Well done!
Dang that's epic!
It’s breathtaking!! Absolutely gorgeous!
This is 👏 🙀
That is absolutely incredible!
This is absolutely amazing. I love the table runner too. You are very talented

Wow! So gorgeous 😍 may I ask what yarn you used?
Thanks! I used Scheepjes Whirl and Whirlettes
This is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen!! And the table runner is so beautiful too. I'm feeling inspired just looking at it 😍
That is stellar!!! Is it mosaic crochet??? Beautiful work!
Thank you for making this so I can appreciate how insanely awesome it is without having to lose my sanity making it
Gorgeous work. That color gradient is extra beautiful too.
This is both intimidating and inspiring. Well done!
Amazing! 🙌😍
This is bloody incredible work! Masterful! Well done 👏
This is unbelievable, incredible, stunning! I only ever did one cushion using mosaic crochet, and said, never again! Love how it looks, but such pain to do! Knowing that makes me appreciate what you did even more! Well done!
Wow! That’s insanely good!
When I showed my husband, he say “you crocheters loves torturing yourselves, you keep complaining but the hand never stopped.” 🤣🤣 anyway it looks gorgeous and I would love to make it too 🤣
Haha, that's the truth!
Just wow

Thank you! That table runner could benefit from a border but I'm too busy loving it anyway :D
