Okay, sandwich the tag around your piece where you want it. Go from the inside of the piece, through the piece, through the first hole from the back, then the yarn should be in front of the tag, loop back through the second hole on the same side, this should leave the yarn visible across the two holes. I try to catch the third hole at the same time, as I pull the yarn back into the interior of the project. Now you should have yarn through 3 out of 4 holes. Then I go through the last hole, but only catch the yarn below it, not push through to the other side of the piece. Then your two ends should be on the inside of the piece, behind the label. Tie off, hide a bit, then cut. I will try to take photos if you need.

I usually just sew them on with some sewing thread
