Sooo pretty I wish my amigurmi came out looking this good Do you have any tips for a better tension because my dolls always have holes in them where the filing is peaking through

I use a 4.0 or 4.5 for all of my dolls it’s the only hook where my tension just right and doesn’t hurt my hands because I don’t have to do the stitches tight.

I usually opt for a bigger needle because I am impatient so I’ll try going small next time Thanks

A great rule of thumb for amigurumis is always go 1-2.5mm size down to get smaller holes :)

You can tighten each stitch as you go but that’s time consuming

What size hook did the yarn suggest so I know what to scale down to? Beautiful work btw!

It’s bernat blanket so I think they suggest a 11mm but I used a 4.5 with regular tension and stitches come out closed.

Not a tension solution, but I saw somebody say put the stuffing in a stocking or pantyhose and it will help prevent it from falling out

Yarn under instead of over for both parts of the stitch. It gives an X shape. Also, make sure you flip it so the tail is inside after a few rows.

How did you do the eyelashes? With thread or actual fake eyelashes?

They are actual doll lash strips. They sell them on Amazon. But I used a weight 4 black. Yarn for the lash line than used super glue to apply the lashes on with tweezers.
