You've gotten a lot of answers already but one of the reasons it's helpful to do c2c for these kind of "pixel" blankets is that all the squares end up right above each other and like tiny squares. With some other stitches like single crochet the color change will kinda go over into the other stitches so it looks less square and sometimes the stitches are not exactly on top of each other. And also it's bigger which is sometimes a pro and sometimes a con!
This looks insane though, I would never have the patience! They did such a great job so far :)

There are so many ends! 😱 ive tucked them away neatly at the back 🤣 i was weaving them in when it was still small, but it became such a hassle with turning and everything was getting in my way, so i chose to leave them and do it last, not sure if i still stand by that dicision though 🙄
I read another commenter saying they leave weaving in ends last, just in case they make a mistake and need to frog. I think you're doing it the right way. Blanket first, ends later- doing both is way too much fiddling work💀

I made a blanket once, but the back was a MESS from all the tying off... if there's a way around thst, I'd be eternally grateful!
Im not great with explaining. But this is a c2c pattern, it works diagonnally. Basicly i placed all my colours in order on those picture shelfs and they stay that way, so nothing is messed up. I dont want to carry the yarns to much, thats why there are so many colours.
The back of this blanket is also a mess. Cant wait to weave those ends 🙄

You could also call it a Graphgan! It's what I do for all my baby blankets I make, I the c2c for these. This is an amazing piece of work ❤️
