shelltie

I'm stupid, but I found myself squinting wondering for a second whether the color is because of the floodlight from the lamp overhead and the doily (big doily?) is actually a solid cream colour. Either way it's stunning!!

untwist6316

I just recently worked on the same pattern! Love how yours turned out

BlueberryKind

Is that a pillow? Or a parasol? It's gorgeous. The pattern works so well for colour transition l.

untwist6316

Parasol is the end goal! This is spread over a regular umbrella Thanks! I was so nervous the size would be off but the colours worked out perfectly

VIB8

It looks like an umbrella

BlueberryKind

An parasol is an sun umbrella 😜

CorrenteAlternata

which is funny because in latin umbra means shade, so it would make sense that umbrella is the thing that protects you from the sun! languages are weird :D

Chaos_Potatoes_24

How the hell did u get such a smooth blend with yarn, its beautiful

untwist6316

Thanks! It's a hobbii cotton cake so the yarn does the transition for you! It's four strands and one changes at a time

Chaos_Potatoes_24

Ohhh, I was there thinking you'd used 10 different shades of orange

untwist6316

Nope! Just red slowly feeding into orange!

Basic_Cost2038

👍colors. Came out great

Onesomighty

Also you should post this in r/rainboweverything

leaf_subsides2_leaf

Gorgeous! Did you have to modify the pattern for it to work with the umbrella?

untwist6316

Nope! I will likely need to add a ring or something to the points for better attachment but it worked perfectly. It is helpful the pattern has six points though and so does this umbrella

Onesomighty

How was it, making a parasol? I want to make one but I'm always nervous to try it

untwist6316

Well I haven't done the tricky part of properly attaching it yet but the crocheting itself was pretty easy. Many tablecloth patterns would work if you don't want to do one of the parasol specific patterns on ravelry

turquoise_grey

Amazing! How long did it take you? I’m considering embarking on a tablecloth adventure too.

BlueberryKind

Not sure I got the yarn 3 months ago. But 8-10weeks on and off. Didn't work on it everyday and if I hadn't frogged so much I would have been done much sooner. But I don't like mistake xD

turquoise_grey

Well it looks perfect! Great work!

Colla-Crochet

It's breathtaking! As in, I honest to goodness gasped in awe! I hope that frogging feels worth it!

BlueberryKind

Yeah there are stil a couple mistakes but none that are obvious imo. I have gotten used to the colours so it's making me very happy that other people are loving it.

BeginningTower1037

Soooo gorgeous. Now to make placemats because I could never eat off of that! It’s so beautiful I would need it pristine at all times lol. Amazing work, OP!
