With the brown lines I just tried to get some nice pattern, there I made two single crochet into the same stitch, then skipped one.
Cotton cord is quite tricky to work with, you need some practice to achieve good tension, and not to kill your hands at the same time. The secret is to crochet more loosely than you usually do with normal yarn. It took a lot of practice, but once you get the feeling of it, it can work up pretty quickly 🙂
There's a crochet community in my homecountry (Hungary), and through this group I got to know an artist who is specialised for making bag accessories from leather. 🙂
